The
guesthouse
is
a
beautifully
restored
old
house
centrally
located
within
Georgetown,
with
plenty
of
great
restaurants,
street
food,
and
tourist
sights
within
walking
distance.
Despite
this,
we
nearly
always
preferred
staying
in
and
lounging
in
the
guesthouseโs
many
sitting
areas.
A
particular
favourite
is
the
daybed
overlooking
the
internal
courtyard.
The
guesthouse
is
decorated
with
beautiful
old
furniture
and
other
items
that
almost
takes
you
back
in
time.
Not
to
worry
though
as
all
the
facilities,
especially
the
en-suite
bathroom
are
all
modern.
The
kitchen
has
a
water
filter
and
you
are
given
a
bottle
in
the
room
that
you
can
fill
up.
The
kitchen
is
also
where
the
delicious
breakfast
is
served
in
the
morning.
Make
sure
to
get
the
Malaysian
classics,
the
Nasi
Lemak
or
the
Roti.
Special
thanks
to
the
amazing
staff
members,
Sandra
in
the
morning,
and
Nicholas
in
the
evening.
They
made
our
stay
very
pleasant.
My
family
still
talks
about
the
amazing
time
we
had
at
the
East
Indies
Mansion.
