A basic budget 5-storey hotel that's very conveniently located opposite the Jetty Bus Terminal in Georgetown. You can easily take the free CAT bus there that will loop at Komtar, or other feeder buses that go to Ayer Itam and Balik Pulau. The room is beautifully furnished, and there's the stuff you come to expect in a hotel. The bathroom is very spacious as well. The TV connects to CineMax, CNN and a Chinese news channel. There's also free WiFi for guests (the password is reset and given to you daily because they were hacked in the past). One of the rooms my family booked had an uncontrollable aircon (the remote just resets back to 25 degrees celcius). It can get really cold at night that way. There's unfortunately no breakfast available despite its advertising, so you'll have to head out to get some. There's unsheltered parking just around the corner but its very easy to miss and can only be accessed from the side of the hotel without any easy u-turn. If you see the traffic crossing and bus terminal across the street, be prepared to slow down and turn when you drive in.

Great place to stay! Easy access to ferry terminal, bus station is right opposite the hotel, ample parking space, food court is close-by, jetties are within walking distance, heritage sites and places of interests are located behind the hotel, what else could we ask for? The hotel rooms are very clean and bright with iron & ironing board too! Staffs at reception are courteous and polite. Price of rooms per day were also reasonable and walk-in registration was not a problem unlike some popular hotels that insists online registration was required. My only wish was that the fridge/freezer was working properly as all my ice-cream turned to liquid πŸ˜…. I will definitely use this hotel again when I return to Penang. Lovely hotel!

Stayed here for 5 nights whilst visiting Penang. Firstly the positives: the room was big and generally clean, the location was ideal for walking to a lot of eateries and places of interest in Georgetown, and the price was very cheap compared to a lot of other hotels we had stayed at in Malaysia. The owners (I assume) were very friendly when working at reception and ensured we had everything we needed. And the negatives: there were lots of small hairs on the bed, I think it has been washed but they need to maybe wash more than once/have a quicker spin cycle to get rid of hairs. The shower was temperamental and would go on and off on it's own, I think it was because we were on the top floor and the water pressure wasn't great. The refrigerator wasn't working which was very annoying as it meant we couldn't buy small snacks to eat in the morning. There was another receptionist who was very slow and didn't seem to know much about her own job. She took forever at check in; we must've been there for half an hour at least and when we asked for a room at the back of the hotel she responded with "I don't know which are at the back, I just give the rooms". I have never heard of this at any hotel before where the receptionist has no clue where rooms are located (is there no floorplan?!). On the whole, I would stay again as it was cheap and well located, but some improvements to be made.

Hotel by the sea port and historical penang tourist chain. Commercial centre and banking business. Ample parking and transportation. Ferry service to mainland.

Located near to jetty and bus station. Clean room and ample facility. In room there are fridge, iron, iron board and safe box. Room size just nice. The important thing is ample car park for guest. Peranakan decorated in room is nice.

The room size is ok.. Location just nearby to jetty (if want to go to mainland) just a few minutes.. A little bit far if want to go find restaurant but still can go by walking distance..

We stayed for two nights. Everything was as expected. Air conditioning, and parking were great, we didn't try the breakfast, because Penang has so much gastronomy to offer. We could get a view of the see, that's also a plus!

pro: 1) bilik bersih. toilet bersih dan berfungsi naik. 2) tempat letak kereta disediakan. Pro: 1) cleanliness is good. the toilet is really clean -biggest mark for me 2) parking space provid satisfiying place. everything is walkable for me. took grab for places that a bit far. 3) enough space for me and my husband. took the large bed room. have space to solat. saw the picture for 2 single bed room, seems to be more spacious. con: the hotel was situated in front of main road. so the noise from the road can be disturbing for light sleeper. for me it was bearable and i have a good night sleep. can ask for rooms that is not facing the road. side note: easy check in and check out. can only book through booking, agoda etc. overall, a good stay and satisfying accomodation.

Had my first time staying here after coming across the hotel during web surfing. In conclusion, it was a marvellous stay! Located opposite to the Penang Terminal Center, you can have a seaview and Penang Bridge at affordable price. Its' location at Weld Quay is a perfect stay for travellers who come as a couple or family. Private parking spaces are ample, fast counter service and elevator is available for customers to access to the hotel floors. The room was spacious and bright, TV had several channels, attached bathroom came with toiletries, the room had complimentary drinks and the best part is, kettle and iron+ ironing board are available in the room! WiFi was quite stable, as well. All in all, I'm satisfied with the accomodation. Will come again next time!

A shelter place to sleep with very basic necessities, don't expect much, dollar and cents hotel (stingy/calculative). Below are my encounters during my recent stay. room design nothing to impressive about (no peranakan design, don't bluff), wear & tear found in the room, suspect the technician didn't do their checking & repairing job, on off switch is malfunction, hair dryer from 90s and sometime function sometime is not function when you move the wire by a bit it will disconnect, toilet seat cover not able to lift up and will keep dropping, cleaner supervisor (botak aunty) seems deaf and ignore/ forget customer request (talking to the cat/dog I sound wiser). Then they didn't refill me shampoo and body wash as they saw some leftover still have from last night. All I can say is this is a very cost saving budget hotel. They check and control every of their inventory very details. I'm not sure if this kind of company policy will make their client happier coz I tried to request water bottle from them, they reject my request. Drinking Water bottle cost most is 20-30cents only especially when you order in bulk and not those atas branded brand. Aunty, sometime if you follow by book too much, I don't know if this is the reason you get botak. Be happy ok aunty? Room without tooth brush, so very cost saving ya, so guys please bring your own buy yourself outside, this is what they mean. Save cost save cost save cost until room no door bell & "do not disturb" signature made no available. haha. And to my surprise one of the day, they forget to clean up my room/house keeping til I need to reach out to the counter for this simple request, what a coincidence right. Haha. Another thing is, I understand the hotel WiFi connection is already super weak (disconnect & reconnect especially at night), hotel policy require guest to keyin new Wifi password everyday, it's good policy to avoid outsider keep login to hotel WiFi else the connection for the guest will weaker but a bit non sense to me. hotel room only one card per room, definitely is to avoid you from contributing to their high electricity bill. Maybe you can help to get their staff active also, leave your room card inside the room and let the staff open the door for you when you are back to hotel. oh ya, there is a phone in the room but wait, there is no call list provided in the room, no wonder receptionist quite free coz no one will call service counter to disturb them haha. Btw room facing wall (deluxe), so couple who like privacy can open your window big big but hor, don't forget the sound proof system here is not good hor, you can easily hear the next door plug in their plug/socket or talking at hallway or door slamming sound, other than this kind of sound, you own selves go listen listen lah. Haha. I still can't accept they spent heavily on the hotel lobby renovation/design but when you enter your room it is two different concept and class. Those with big and many luggages bag do mind that they have few stairs you to need climb before getting into lift. After writing so much, I really hope the hotel management/the boss read my comment and improvement after this. However, must thanks this hotel also for having a strategic location to the place of interest (chew jetty, art wall, eating places, bus terminal just Infront of the hotel). Also thanks them having quite sufficient space for car park. Counter staffs are friendly and helpful too. Room is actually quite spacious. Cleanliness okay*. Walk in price for deluxe/Twin bed is RM190/night.

It was over my expectations . I was told we stay at 2 star hotel but I so surprising when I enter to the room just like 4 star hotel. They provide hair dryer, kettle , iron complete with iron board and safety box. The staffs very friendly. Everything just perfect for me.

Hotel got private parking space. Situated in front of Penang old ferry terminal and is walking distance to many tourist hotspot and local eateries in Georgetown area. Hot shower is only available in morning. Room is clean and have basic amenities. TV chanels are very limited.

This is quite good. Nice room, nice bathroom, clean, quiet, effective aircon. I usually do not find hotels in Malaysia of good value, that one is an exception.

The room was ok (nice, beautifull and clean). Breakfast menu ok. But I felt intimadated when had a breakfast there, because the waitress always keep her eyes on me, like she was very insecure with me. What's wrong with me?? 😒

Went here for two days and one night. Satisfied with the room. Got personal iron board and iron. Got open parking for guests (besides hotel). Got fridge. The wifi is quite poor. Near to tourist spot like Wonderfood Museum, Penang Street Art, Fort Cornwallis and else. Its just I didn't get the sea view πŸ˜‚ Overall is excellent and good.

Stayed in large double room, spacious with small fridge. BBC news channel on tv. I was ready to give this hotel a 5 star rating, but the lack of decent Wifi( this is 2022!)and curious voucher system for said wifi spoilt my stay. If you need to conduct business, find another hotel

Wouldn’t recommend. The rooms are okay and the AC works fine, but those are the only positives. WiFi doesn’t work and the staff isn’t very helpful. Requested a room with double bed and got 2 single beds.

Nice and cozy hotel. Located beside main road and in front of Bus terminal. 10 minutes walk from ferry Jetty. Price higher on public holiday. Friendly and responsive staff.

Low-budget hotel in Penang. Since its location is not in a busy street of Georgetown, it has pros and cons. It is near bus station and traditional Chinese Market. The service is good and the room is decent.

Nice location & good for stay. But 1 of breakfast staff we called aunty is VERY RUDE & keep eyeing us during breakfast. What's wrong with us? No smile, no greetings & no thanks at all. Remember, this will spoil your mood for trip to Penang.

Cheap and good location. But the mattress is hard. The aircon temperature is set by default at 25 deg C. Imagine after a long walk at night, you got wait very long time to cool down.

Large rooms, great value, modern beautiful bathrooms. No breakfast available at this time but there's so many cafe's you won't go hungry
