Hey guys this place doesn't exist anymore haha, save yourself the walk.

The shared areas are really nice. The dorms are OK but very big (24beds). If you don't need the pool lincoln's Backpackers will probably be the better decision.

Cheap and central. They also have swimming pool and a bar outside. No towel included. Free drinks downstair. Quite clean and very organized with strict rules. But the other hostel guests hanged too many clothes in the bathroom area and that made me feel unclean

This is the best hostel imo in Georgetown. I love that they have an old chinese mansion as a hostel. The place is spacious. I was given the 8 bedroom dorm. Comfy bed. Locker is outside the dorm itself so you wont have to deal with someone rummaging through their stuff late at night (free locker btw). Their hall is spacious and gives you a very homely feel. And how many hostel can say they have their own pool. Its the first things you see when you arrive. And for motorcyclist, you can park the bike inside the front porch area ( thumbs up right there ). I Love this place. Good job to all of you at DD Hostel. I will be back again.

I wish I could give 5 stars as it's nice friendly place to stay however bit dated - mattresses should be replaced while ago and extra charges for locker or towel

Very nice place.

Awesome hostel. The people working there are really kind. The owner a great artist. The hostel have a pool that it's excelent for hot days (every day between 2 and 6pm haha) The only thing I would change is that the mattress are a little bit hard, the rest, excelent.

They didn't mention that they turn off the ac in the dorms from noon to five pm. In Malaysia. With no fan. I took a nap and felt like I was going to die from heat exhaustion. Super dirty and sharing a room with 24 people. Do yourself a favor and spend an extra dollar a night on one of the many nice hostels in Georgetown.

Very run down, ramshackle establishment. Lost of very unfriendly signs detailing various ways in which they will keep your deposit (most were reasonable requests but could have been more friendly about it) . Cold and clammy in the AC rooms. Plumbing and water didn't work for one of the days so couldn't brush my teeth, use the toilet etc. Was one of the most uncomfortable sleeps of my life. Avoid at all costs.

It has no flair. You get into a 24 dorm is so crowded. In the room and bathroom smells it weird. Breakfast consists of tost, jam, butter and soluble coffee or tea. The internet is very bad. The common space is not special. there are only 6 chairs at the table or you eat your breakfast on the sofa.

Very cool place! Friendly stuff, swimming pool, yard with fence, clean rooms and anough space for some practice or chilling! Very good location, close to night market, supermarket, Komtar, Love Lane. Good atmosphere & good time! :-)
