An unassuming cafe that can be a good "pitstop" in your Georgetown itinerary. I had their Butter-Kaya Toast with Half-Boiled Eggs and finished with an Affogato. The toast is on the fancier side, as they don't use the typical loaf of bread. Eggs were nice and the affogato finish was just perfect for the weather. If you have a bigger interest in coffee, check out the different beans and roasts that they have.

The drinks from both coffee and non-coffee were so nice. Coffee doesn’t smell too strong and has a fruity scent. Unfortunately on the day we came, they didn’t have many available options for tea. But the rest of the menu was good enough. Their homemade cake tasted wonderful and was really cheap 😂. Service was really quick with friendly staffs, they also know well about coffee beans so as to fulfill any request from coffee-holics. The shop has free water for customers and not very noisy, which makes us feel comfortable not matter how long we stay 🥰.

Amazing experience here and excellent service. The owner spent some time to explain to us the different coffee bean options, and even seperated the latte into two cups brewed at different temperatures to show us how the cooler one brings the fruity notes of the new wave coffee beans out. Excellent service :) The affogato with the artisan coffee beans was what I enjoyed the most, with the slightly sour and aromatic coffee complementing the sweet vanilla ice cream, creating a rich flavour that's impossible to forget.

Been a regular customer to this shop for sometime. Had beans from different roasteries but coffee lane bean is exceptional, so we need to ensure we have the stock regularly to taste their espresso/lattes. As prosumer espresso POV, this is definitely worth checking and one of the gem place you should try. They have variety bean to cater your preference and will educate you in getting bean that you prefer. I myself learn a lot from the staff. Also, you can ask information on brewing reference for you to do. I love their passion and perspective that educate people to understand the know-hows and aroma profiling. Average orange juice at rm10 but a nice place to chill

Visiting this coffee shop twice during our trip in Penang, the coffee was great, the cake was yummy. And the service was super awesome. Worth visiting if you in the area!

Simple decor, friendly staff, and unobtrusive music. Kudos to the staff for reminding a patron to take their charging phone with them as it is clear that the patron would have otherwise. It's a small gesture made more impressive by the fact that the reminder came from behind the counter signaling proactive and attentive attention to detail.

excellent little western coffee shop with way above average latte, RM 10 for small. comfortable, well run, nice music and vibe. beautiful shop. wood seats only so might get a sore bottom if you spend your life there. The owner offers many types and varieties of brew. his Western style expresso drinks tend to the dark roasted side so you should like that style if you come here.

Quaint coffe place that actually opens early! Iced americano woke me up! Choco banana toast was delicioso. Oolong latte had tart aftertaste, not necessarily a bad thing. Hipsters would love this joint for sure.

It was quite ok. I expected a roastery kind of cafe but upon entering there is not much coffee scent, but that is fine. I asked for list of drip coffee but they don't have it. They want to pick the bean for me based on the origin and taste I prefer, which is not the way I want to pick my beans. So I settled for latte instead, which has a tinge of lingering bitter aftertaste. I was billed RM18 for the cup, probably they used peaberry although I intended to have a normal one. Let's assume that as an innocent miscommunication. I hope the cafe should consider people to choose beans for drips just like other places but may be they want to do things differently. The background music does not really fitting for me to stay long. The cake was very nice though.

Surprisingly this was my only 2nd time visiting this place. This time round to buy back a pack of coffee beans since it's still Movement Control Order here in Penang. The classic house blend though i have not brewed any cup yet but i reckon will taste good. Sinsehkai bakery uses this beans for their coffee and I love the coffee over there...then some hainanese coffee aftertaste. The 1st time round i ordered a syphon coffee there....forgot which single origin beans i selected. Was nice to see the boss making me the good cup and he was friendly in sharing his thoughts and tips.

Coffee Lane is a coffee lover's paradise. Tried the Snow Black and Iced Drop Coffee, both boasting amazing taste and gorgeous flavors. Rustic homey feel is what u get when you enter this cafe. They roast their own beans and their selection of Arabica beans are pretty good. Good place to go to if you love a good cuppa espresso.

Disappointing experience (prima saujana, kajang branch)....if you go there dont order the cakes. I try the salted caramel cake but it only taste sweet surgery chocolate (like the cheap kind) the price is expensive like naj n bell but the quality is almost the same as street vendor cake (bigger portion than street vendor). If u have to go there eat their main course and not deserts (I'll gv 4 star for the main course and interior design alone,but I hv to reduce to 2star because my dining experience today. Hv to seat beside the generator). Also,nice ID cafe looks nice and all but suddenly there a sit in the corner, where the sit is beside the cafe generator; I mean, you can decorate the transparent door with seasonal theme, why you leave it bare? It destroyed the dining atmosphere 👎👎

Gave 2 coffee drips to try too Thank you for the kind help. Update: brewed espresso on my machine and got below results. Beans are fresh as evident from crema and taste is as described by shop assistant.

Great place with great coffee. The owner is well versed with the types of beans it can offer to their customers. Nothing fancy about their food menu though. Best place if you just want to chillax with a good cuppa coffee. They also offer tea too.

I’ve tried 4 different coffee shops so far in George Town (not including Starbucks) and this one by far has the best coffee. Make sure to try their specialty coffee, It’s really good. Probably not the best place for getting work done because of how relatively small it is. However, It’s a perfect place for a quick morning or afternoon coffee fix. The staff are super nice as well and will walk you through the different kinds of coffee they have with patience.

The burnt basque cheesecake is to die for. I'm surprised to find such a high-quality cheesecake in this cafe. It's creamy, smooth, rich, but light. I paired it with a glass of iced long black, oh it was heavenly.

My friend and I were searching for a cafe where it serves the sponge cake with ice cream during our visit at Penang (we didn't know the cafe's name as we only saw a photo of it posted in FB). Otw going back to work from lunch, we stumbled this cafe and noticed the background of the cafe is similar to the photo posted in FB. Thus, we went in and ask the cafe's staff. This cafe indeed served sponge cake with ice cream! However, the pandan cake were only available on Friday. We had the orange sponge cake & cempedak cheesecakes. The cakes were delicious and coffee were aromatic. I think they also sell coffee beans as they got roastery inside the cafe. We then went back to this cafe on Friday for the pandan sponge cake + ice cream. Didn't disappoint us! Totally come back for its sponge cake & coffee! Cozy yet chill cafe.

Love this cosy place in Chulia St. They have nice array of coffee and some other drinks. They roast their coffee in the morning before opening. So you get to taste fresh coffee everyday. Here you get siphoned coffee brewed to its freshness of taste. They have some selections of cakes too. You can buy some coffee beans here and get them to grind for you. Overall a nice place to chill and drink.

Looking at the positive reviews, we decided to give this quaint café a go. ☕Coffee Lane is also known for their coffee beans, where the roastery is there within the shop. With multiple types of blends, the barista there takes great pride in their coffee art. Cold brews and drip coffees are served here. 🥣While Harris and Farissa sipped on their coffee, I tried the Original Yoghurt and Muesli (I am not acquainted with coffee as caffeine isn't really my thing). It was a simple classic which was nicely done. 🍵Harris thoroughly enjoyed the strength of the cold brew, while Farissa savoured the Café Latte. A specialty that coffee-lovers would relish is the 'Snow Black', a signature coffee from the barista himself (shown in the pictures). If you're an avid coffee person, coffee lane is a café you should visit. For me, since coffee isn't my thing, I'll stick to my chocolate drinks, muesli and yoghurt. That was already good in itself.

Ordered a cafe latte. Instead of fresh beans from the grinder, the barista made my latte from beans that already been ground and put in a milk jug that no one knows for how long. The taste cannot lie, It tastes bad. When i asked why he did that, he argued about it to say that nothing is wrong with it. Ordered an extra cup and i made sure the barista use the fresh beans from coffee grinder this time. The coffee taste alright. Big different with the first one. I want to hear the sound of the coffee grinder because i want my coffee fresh. And you failed to do it on my first cup.

I strongly recommend Coffee Lovers to try their Aromatic Roasted Long Black coffee. It really give you a mouthful aroma. Their Tee Nya Kuih is really tasty with Gula Melaka syrup which isn't sweet at all. This cafe give you an ambience of relaxing with coffee at lab...as there are apparatus (which is meant for coffee brew)
