From the Hutton Lane back alley to this inconspicuous shop more than 10 years ago, this stall seemed well-known to the locals. Yet it was funny that I never noticed this shop every time I passed by until this morning. I was usually early for breakfast, around 6:30 am, and the stall already had another table of customers. I ordered the standard bowl of Koay Teow Th’ng, without the offal. It came with a lot of meat! The minced meat was flavorful, as was the meatball. There was another piece of fish ball and a generous amount of chicken slices. The broth was slightly oily and murky. It was still a satisfying bowl. I ordered just plain water but observed the next table’s Kopi seemed to be quite well-prepared. I need to try that kopi next time. Uncle Lim (if I am not mistaken) is a friendly old chap with a smiley face. The shop also maintains good hygiene. Koay Teow Th’ng (standard) RM6 Plain Water RM0.50

Came here after randomly searching for koay teow soup in Google map. Operated by a couple, this stall only serve koay teow soup. The dish came with quite a small portion of rice noodles, minced meat, some chicken, fish balls and a meat ball. The taste was okay. No wow factor. The coffee shop is fairly clean. The price is fairly reasonable, similar to most of the koay teow soup price now. Parking is not difficult. Quite ample within walking distance.

One should try the dry type of beehoon mee or koay teow mee. Request without dark soy sauce. Only ask them to put garlic oil & soy sauce. It’s simply a white version of dry type. It’s 5 stars taste, best of the best my all times favourite.

Amazing kuay teow soup, very reasonable prices, owners are very kind and the soup is incredibly fragrant and delicious. Highly recommend. This spot was recommended by the Hong Giap owner next door and is a good local spot.

All the hype and fake reviews. All for nothing! This place is not great at all. Very normal tasting koay teow thng and most disappointingly, very stingy in their portions!!!

Really loved their koay teow th’ng / koay teow soup, it was just simple and was not overwhelming in tastes, just nice. The aunty and uncle was also very friendly. The cafe also sells kaya toast and egg. The drinks was quite okay, normal kopitiam standard. The place also was quite simple, not crowded and somewhat clean.

Very humble husband and wife Penang Kuey Teow Thng stall in town that served to their loyal customers past few decades. The taste never change since my childhood. Only difference is the portion gets smaller due to inflation. A must visit in town if you are craving for a hot noodle soup to start off your day.

Amazing breakfast. Duck meat Koay Teoe Th'ng is a must try. The clear soup has a light taste and is not overpowering, will make you want to order another bowl! Coffee and tea is great as well. Opens early at 7am for those early birds.

Healthy but tasty, soupy koay teow thng... clean clear soup with a mix of pork and chicken... garnished well with fried minced garlic and spring onions... The aunties that run the shop are also very nice and friendly... adding to the quaint old small town vibe... And yes... teh si was awesome... Parking can be challenging... but there’s a multi story parking just across the shop...

Nice koay teow soup, not sweet or salty, means no added artificial seasonings. Coffee also nice. Just park at the multilevel car park opposite it to avoid traffic jam searching for parking lots

Clean, spacious and kway teow soup is best. The towkay was helpful in telling us the chowrasta market is just nearby.

I ordered and sat down. My meal came; I paid someone 7Rm and then was chased for a drink.. I was checking how much cash I had left before ordering a drink. Not enough, so I said no drink. Then the lady claimed I had not paid for my food?!? I just gave someone my last 7Rm and they turn around and say I never paid. Very untrue. I paid. I left. Without eating and after I paid for food. Very very bad service.

😠 I reached at around 2:30pm and still need to queue till 3:00 pm. Disappointed with the food because the deep fried fish roe and fish are hard rather than crispy. The gravy is also so so only.

👍 Queue seemed quite long when we arrived around 2.30 pm but we only waited about 20 minutes. I think they should have more signage to tell customers what to do so the process can be easier. There was only one waiter upstairs in the seating area so it was quite difficult to get his attention. Food is...
