Along Beach Street sits this little cafe that serves pastries and coffee in an air-conditioned environment. The front entrance enables you to take a peek into the shop itself before entering, and vice-versa as well. The shop isn't really large, and there aren't that many tables as well. However, in keeping with the French theme, seating can be really close to one another, as the drinks counter takes up quite a fair bit of space in front, and the bakery at the back as well. The pastries are simply delicious. They are famous for their croissant, pain au chocolat and many other pastries. During my visit there, I decided to give almost every thing on display a try, since I was there with a few friends. The croissant is flaky and buttery, others were also really very good. I tried their ham and cheese pastry which was excellent. Coffee, tea and different other drinks are available too. The bakery at the back can be viewed anytime, and you'll see a never ending flurry of activity as the bakers are busy preparing more of the pastries. A little gem of a place that's about to grow - they are about to expand with the addition of another lot just next door. That should make things more comfortable.

Nice cafe in the Georgetown heritage area. This cafe is near the famous siblings bicycle Street art. There are many cafe nearby. The pastries here is famous. Come early as most of the pastries could be sold out quite quickly. Coffee is okay.

*Street parking here might be a bit challenging as the area has a higher uptick of traffic, so it really depends on your luck. Ambience: Decent place to chill and relax in! It has an old and timeless Western atmosphere, while not being too stifling. You can see many people just chilling here having a chat with each other. Service: Friendly staff who were nicely recommended dishes that we were thinking of trying. Although it did take some time for them to clear the previous table’s dishes during peak period, but this could be down to them not having enough floor staff on hand at the time. Food: Decent coffee and pastries. Coffee was a bit too milky for my liking, but otherwise the croissants were decent enough. Price: Pretty much what you should expect for a café pricing, where it is RM10+ for each of the items you see in the pictures. Not much to comment here as it is reasonably priced. Conclusion: If you are looking for somewhere to get out of the sun and relax for a bit in a cosy environment, this is the place to be. Although this is not somewhere I would specifically come back for, it still is a nice place to relax and have some decent coffee and pastries if I were around the corner.

A few times passed by but never had the fate to dine in this cafe. Either they are closed or I can't find a parking space. Finally today I made it, could be 2023 luck. It's a busy day and not to mention a hot day. Ordered the a hot choc, scone and pistachio tart. Scone is super duper nice and they are known for this pastry. Not hard rock and dry on the Inside. I enjoyed pistachio tart the most. A little sweet but not the extend you go nuts. With the pastries accompanied with hot chocolate, I am happy and smiling all the way. I will come back again for others. Note: halal

Le Petit Four *Food* We ordered pistache tart and black forest dessert (susah nak eja nama dia haha) and i tell you it is HEAVEN when you eat something that is original. The texture of the mousse, namelaka, glaze, compote, sablee are on point! The taste is exactly like what i usually produce. Wthich I don't mind paying extra bucks because the taste is premium. *Cafe* So freaking brilliant. Vibrance and give you the Penang vibe. Plus i like how their washroom smells like freshly baked croissants because the aroma from live kitchen masuk into the washroom so while you're doin your business you can smell nice baked goods 😂😂 10/10

Amazing staffs! Amazing pastries + cakes and coffee. Totally worth the visit and will come back again! The environment is okay, not so loud and not so quiet. We went to upstairs and had a quiet coffee time which we totally loved it. Please please try the strawberry shortcakes, it's was DELICIOUS!

Came here during my visit to Penang at my friend's behest and was throughly enjoying the atmosphere and food. Croissants were amazing, especially the almond flavoured version and I loved the aesthetic of the place. Prices were reasonable too and my friend was telling me that the chefs/pastry chefs (sorry I don't know the exact terms) were also graduates for Le Cordon Blue, a famour culinary school here in Malaysia. So yeah, definitely worth checking out. 5 stars and 10 stars to the croissants.

I’m not often on the island, so when I had the opportunity to try this patisserie… I thought it would be a shame to not try as much as possible! First off, parking was a pain - as expected in this part of Penang. The shop itself was comfortable enough in that it was air conditioned, and the staff were quite attentive. I did find the atmosphere a little cramped and crowded though. A good place for a quick coffee and cake, but not a place I would sit for a long, relaxing coffee. The food was pretty good overall. Nice French pastry of the kind that can be hard to find on the mainland. Everything was well presented and made, but nothing blew me away. I enjoyed the kouign-amann, though it was the first time I’ve had one so don’t have much of a point of reference. A little sweet for some perhaps, but just about right for me. The lemon basil tart had a lovely crisp pastry and a quite strong basil flavour - a bit too strong for me, but it does what it says on the tin so I can hardly complain. It was beautifully made. The Mont Blanc was okay. The almond croissant was nice enough, though I honestly think the ones you can get in Waitrose supermarkets in the UK are better. Finally, the canele. Any shop that sells these gets points in my book. An under-appreciated pastry that is not easy to find in your average bakery. The canele was reasonably well made, though I’ve had better. Unfortunately, they only had the matcha flavour left… I’m sure I would’ve enjoyed original more. All in all, a nice little patisserie. Perhaps 3.5 stars. I don’t think you’ll go too far wrong with anything you choose here, though for my money, I’d rather go to La Vie En Rose on Lebuh Melayu where the food and environment are just that little bit better.

My local friend introduced this cafe and it does not disappoint me. As a French Pastries lover I love their pastries especially the scones, its a boommmm! Almond croissant, enchante cake all light and delicious. I even take away 3 scones before we left.

They deserved a 5 start rating, their bakery is unique and they have an in-house bakery kitchen, we saw at least 3 bakers. Their products is not a commercial standard taste bakery.

This cafe is inside the heritage area, nearby Narrow Marrow. Both of them are very famous ones. After taking a walking art street tour around Armenian Street, you can take a stop in Lepetitfour for a dessert. Overall, the cake is quite good and fancy. The drink is so so.

Managed to squeeze a visit on our final day in Penang! Had the Hazelnut and Enchante, both of which were very good. Price-wise is slightly on the high side but considering the quality and skill, it is acceptable. Cafe itself is very nice - natural sunlight pouring through the glass roof and very beautiful interior. You can even see the pastry chefs at work at the back with the glass window!

Lepetitfour Pâtisserie, Georgetown, Penang - never had so many sweet treats on a holiday before. This time we stopped at this famous patisserie for some cakes and pastry, but the cakes went out faster then we ordered so I settled for the kouign amann. Small, delicious and not overly sweet, perfect for a afternoon tea snack. As for the space, because it so popular it was a little too cramp for my liking.

I came by around 12 and the place was pretty crowded. I had to wait a short while before I got a table. I got the strawberry shortcake (RM 25) which caught my eye because it used vanilla bean cream as compared to the usual cream. This was very good and the cake was well balanced. The vanilla bean cream adds another dimension of flavour while it was nice a surprise to have chopped up strawberries in the cream layer of the cake. Also notable is the pistachio tart (RM 26) where I really appreciated the different layers of pistachio. On the outermost layer you have large pieces of broken pistachio, followed by a cream layer, a layer of crushed pistachio, then a green layer of pistachio ganache. It is really a lot of pistachio, which was great at first, but might be a bit much towards the end. I also got the mushroom danish (RM 16) which served as a good contrast to the sweet stuff I had. The croissant was a little hard. The filling of shiitake and shimeiji was a little salty, so be sure to eat it with the croissant. I also got a TWG Silver Moon Tea (RM 16) which came with the TWG teapot, great for photos! You can also ask for more hot water. I thought the tea cup looked great as well (shop owner if you are reading this, would love to know where you get your tea cups from). Overall a pretty good experience here and I would say it's a good place to visit and have a chill afternoon.

Went there during weekday around 3pm and it is full house. Scone is superb! Coffee is normal. Tables are place too close to each other which make dining a bit awkward as I was there alone and left and rights are seated with couple and family. Will definitely go back and get other pastries to try.

After lunch at a nearby cafe, I stopped into Lepetitfour Pâtisserie for some dessert. The place was completely full! They were supposed to open the second level, but owing to a staff shortage, they were unable to do so. I can only order takeout for those delicious pastries at the counter. The lemon and pistachio tarts were both delicious! While the foret noire was a tad too creamy for my taste.

A bit crowded but for a good reason. Their French bakery and pastry’s technique elevate the standard for Penang’s pastry game. I think they are famous for their buttery and beautifully layered croissant! Tip: try to go there before 2pm as it gets busy and filled up fast. Tip 2: Enchante is pretty yummy and refreshing with lychee pieces

Thats all left for the day. It was all superb. Loved the scone and the eclair tasted very well too! Will definitely come again at earlier time for more choices.

If I go to this cafe, I will be the first to enter the cafe. Well, parking is a little bit difficult to find in this area. My advice - go earlier. The pastries is one of the best in Penang. Just tried Mushroom Danish this time and guess what, it tastes good. Worth to go again and again. For drink, you can choose dairy milk or oat milk (Oatside). Chill. Well, little bit unhappy was a family staring at me when I was sipping my Latte as they wanted the seats so badly. LOL. Just kidding.

Desserts were very nice. My fav is the one with earl grey (I’m sorry I forgot the name 🤣). The lemon tart is abit too sour for my liking. And their canele is a must try! Baked just nice with not too hard outer crust and very soft on the inside 😍

One of my favorites cafes in Penang. The coffee is good. The croissants are consistently excellent -- ,so flaky & buttery. The kouign amman and cinnamon rolls are good too. Parking is always a challenge given that this is George town

  • 5/5 SM C. 4 months ago on Google
All the pastries here are sooooooo good! Managed to snag the last cinnamon roll — loved it because it wasn’t too sweet, wasn’t slathered with tons of cream cheese/frosting, and dough was chewy with the right amount of cinnamon sugar! Ham & cheese pastry was delicious & flakey. Croissant was buttery and fresh. Caneles were crusty on the outside, moist & soft inside. Genmaicha latte & hojicha latte were better than their coffee imo! Will come back for more when I’m in Penang! Gotta come early, I reached 1+ and the cinnamon rolls were almost out!

Really nice long black coffee. Could really taste the cocao notes in my cup, well done 👍 Pastry wasn't warmed enough, but tasted good overall. Not the most comfortable seating in general and can be a little cramped.

Limited seatings but nice environment. The escargot pastries are crispy and flaky. As for the cakes, Hazelnut is good, Tiramisu is not bad too, Caraibe is so so.

  • 4/5 Michelle N. 2 years ago on Google
We had the ENCHANTE which was light and delicious. But the pain au chocolate was sadly disappointing - dense texture and only that very top bit was flaky. But if we discount the texture, taste is not bad. I enjoyed the orange espresso too!

Once you enter you’ll be greet by the big smile of the owner in this cozy ambience cafe. Follow by an indulgent surprise in every bite of their pastries and cakes! Best one in town so far! Definitely will return again.

My family and I had a lovely morning here with yummy pastries and beverages. The raspberry escargot is delicious and it was really tough to only pick one dessert, but I'm glad I went with the caraibe- just the right amount of chocolate decadence. Like my review for the nearby La Vie-I'm so impressed and proud that we have this standard of pastries and desserts in Malaysia! Thumbs up also for the pleasant service and extra thumbs up for the clean restrooms. Will be back on my next visit. Keep up the great work!

This is one of my top lists of cafes to visit in Penang. Last time i visited they were closed. Happy that this time i managed to squeeze in some time and they’re open however no more cakes and pastries. All finished by the time we arrived it was like maybe 4 pm or something. Only macaroons left! Taste good! And we had coffee. Tea would be perfect but we were in the mood for coffee! It was our first coffee of the day. Lovely facade and interior is just average. Could get crowded. I highly recommend this place but make sure to swing by early for more selections. Enjoy!

Lepetitfour is located at Lebuh Pantai. They serve cakes ,tarts and pastry. Plenty of tourist came here to have cup of coffee or tea too. The place is well decorated and make their own cakes and pastries.

Bright cafe with natural light & white painting. Cinnamon & apple pie quite good. Matcha latte & hot chocolate are thick.
