Restaurant Cafe Coffee shop Breakfast restaurant

👍 In a photo that’s in this review, the food portion is good and price is right too. Taste good (had a bagel and burrito) and I would come back here again for their sandwich kind of meal. Coffee is quite the same as many other cafes but I like it. Parking is challenging though so alternative taking... People often mention good, coffee, breakfast, cafe, nice, great, friendly, menu, time, delicious,

In a photo that’s in this review, the food portion is good and price is right too. Taste good (had a bagel and burrito) and I would come back here again for their sandwich kind of meal. Coffee is quite the same as many other cafes but I like it. Parking is challenging though so alternative taking a grab would be a good option. Inside ambience is alright, space quite limited as it’s a house. Overall nice place to go for a bite and coffee and to meet with friends.

This is definitely a hidden cafe..... the signage is so tiny 😂. When we entered the place we could smell the aroma of the coffee straight away. The place is very unique. A nice place to chill and relax with friends and family. Not recommended for big group of ppl as this place obeys with the SOP. I tried their americano on the rock...... (4 shots of espresso without water on ices) 😓 it’s recommended if u need to stay awake or to wash some of the fats u just intake away ☺️ Highly recommended. Definitely will come back again 😉

Price : 2/5 Tablet & Chair : 2/5 Foods Generosity : 3/5 Ambience : 3/5 Car park : only 3 car parks available This place is definitely over rated. The food ingredients are mostly hotdog, bacon strips, wedges. Overall, the foods in menu shown are mostly froozen foods. With this price tag, It is lacking creativity in the breakfast. I am big eater in breakfast. I just filled half of my stomach with a set of breakfast. I meant the generosity of the portion. For this price, I will have higher quality breakfast elsewhere.

Love the quiet and peaceful environment! We were there on a weekday morning and easily got a parking lot within the premises though they only have 3 lots. Coffee and food were good! Simple and tasty! Bagel is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Croissant is yummy too!

Environment is cozy, we came in the morning for breakfast and for working session. The staff were very friendly as well. It's a pity some of the great food option in the menu were unavailable. One thing that really disappoint us were the serving speed, hope they could improve that soon. We will be back for another time. 😉

Had the following here : Cheese burger, Zharr Chicken and Avocado toast. All were very good, and generous in portion. The environment was grayish which made it look a bit bleak in my personal opinion, but was clean and tidy. All were good except the pricing, which I'd consider steep.

Chic cafe hidden away from the main streets serving brunch food and snacks. Had the burrito and Atlantic sourdough and both have exceeded my expectations so far. Drink variety is a tad limited but the wide caffeine selection more than made up for it. It offers takeaway and reservation via their Facebook page so that's quite convenient. Place is still fairly empty right now so I would recommend for those looking for a quite place to dine. Edit: Not really empty now and the front seats are not available, so maybe making a reservation is a good idea The Nice Croissant is really nice too. Big breakfast is more of a two person meal but manageable when I'm super hungry. The ice cream is super thick and great value for money.

Food and drinks were great, but there were 2 fundamental problems: the price and the temperature of the food and coffee. I understand the pricing of cafe food but when the price is higher than the more “atas” places in KL like Starhill and The Gardens, isn’t that a little laughable ? I would still be willing to pay if it was RM1-5 cheaper. And secondly, the temperature of the food and coffee. Everything was slightly above room temperature when they were served. When I informed the cashier about the lukewarm coffee, she told me that that was the way their coffee are served here, and that honestly ticked me off. I’m pretty sure coffee in cups are supposed to be hot, not at the boundary of cold and lukewarm.

First and last time here. The fish and chips although portion is big but the sea bass is very smelly and the crust so thick, tartar sauce is too sour. The cheese beef burger is not juicy, very dry. Overall is good place coffee and dessert.

The coffee and food were exceptional. The interior was rustic but clean. The whole place reminds me of the cafes back in Australia. Strangely there was very little signage out the front. Is that due to local regulations?

The atmosphere is kinda cool, feels like a little labyrinth inside a house. Love the matcha latte, its strong and not too milky. And the coffee is just as good too.

With their fully renovated café, it is now much more enticing and appealing. Very satisfied with their environment and theme. There are few different seating themes. Their much improved food selection is more appealing. The scrambled eggs on their Hangover Toast is creamy and smooth with satisfying taste. Their Fried Chicken is enormous if compare to the burger bread. Their staffs are remain friendly.

Astounding and impressive environment with clean, modern and creative interior design. Seats are very hard though as it's made of cement. It's a great place for some great photoshoots and relaxation. I've ordered a chicky salsa wrap which is a special menu item. It tastes very rich, scrumptious and juicy. Kids are enjoying their Gelato ice creams here and Geisha and Wildberry flavours are very unique. Rose latte is also one of the best I've ever tasted The staff is very attentive and friendly and the food preparation time is appropriate. It's definitely well-justified for its high ranking review here, no doubt.

Had chapel big breakfast, chapel salad ... food was yummy. Rated service 4 stars cos there was a unclean plate given but the server was nice and friendly. The sourdough bread was good. Avocado was yum yum yum. i would surely come back again for breakfast. Only setback was pasta was not served even tho it was after 12 noon. We still have to order from the breakfast menu, but i am not complaining tho would have loved to try the pasta. Overall a good experience. Side note parking was difficult.

First try in this cafe. The breakfast they serve are good and fresh. Most important their coffee( i ordered a rose mocha) are excellent. Food served fast. The staffs are friendly and polite. Self order at the counter and payment need to be done first. fully aircon. I love their concept as there are few types of different design at different corner of the shop. You can pick your favourite spots to enjoy the coffee. Parkings are very limited at this area.

So good to find our old friend, brilliant barista Alvin, again. And now in his own place still making great coffee and food to go with it. The coffee is robust, full of flavour, and the temperature is still perfect. I also tried this Aussie Iced Mocha and goodness it was good. There is no signage so you just have to know where to go, but well worth getting acquainted with. AND they are just starting to make their own ice cream, stand by for a report . Wonderful to have found you again Alvin. That’s me, Alison and Alvin.

Very cute cafe that beautifully adapts an old shophouse organically. Comfortable tables and lotsa plug points for work - alas internet was down when I was there. More troubling was the dismissive attitude when I was trying to explain that wifi was not working. Also, there was a lack of pricing transparency: flat white was at RM11 but apparently it was a different blend over CNY and added with switch to oat milk and it was RM16.50 😐

Had the burrito and the staff was thoughtful, and helpful to customize without me asking. It was simple and delicious! Nice and quaint cafe housed within a housing estate. Noise level can be rather loud, they might need to look into fixing some echo dampener on some parts of the cafe. And some attention on the washroom cleanliness (cafe was mostly empty when I visited).

Cakes and coffee are good. Space is divided into different areas that have privacy. A good place to chill down. However, matcha tiramisu and tiramisu are too big and cost RM$33 per piece. I prefer a smaller piece so we could try different flavors.

A hidden cafe with superb services. Amazed by its interior. --Returned to this cafe on 30th Dec 2021 (one year later)-- Still superb service, still the same interior, still the wow factor for me. Ordered for their big breakfast, but the taste is abit off compared to previous. Still good, but previous was better. Anyhow, still 5 stars since their big breakfast is better than most of the cafes out there, even tho the taste is abit off this time

Interior dining design is pretty, came to try for the breakfast. It’s recommended to sit at table seats rather than bar seats (can’t put your legs properly in front 😅). The espresso ice (American on the Rock) is four shots and strongly recommended for coffee lovers. Breakfast tastes delicious also, but the ‘Chapel Breakfast’ is a bit overpriced. Avoca toast is recommended to order (whole avocado served). Overall, having a chill dining experience and the service crew is friendly too.

A very nice place to gather with friends or "me time" to have a cup of drink, a slice of cake or anything.. I tried only 1 dish as was full at that time. I ordered a pistachio sauce pasta and it turned out well for me. Portion was good for 1 person of average eating. Not too creamy nor salty. However the price were on a higher side. The menu selection is huge.

Great little cafe tucked away on a side street. Glad I looked at the photos of the outside before or I would have missed it. So good we came by twice. Very relaxing and modern vibe with several rooms to enjoy. Delicious coffee and tea had both breakfast and lunch and all were delicious. Warm and friendly staff too

I love the food here, delicious, huge portion and premium quality. It is one of the Penang's cafe that I always return for good food. Their brunch items are good, especially the savoury pancake and also they make very delicious portabello mushroom! Chilling ambient and interior, however, we don't really enjoy the "stone" seats which is less comfortable, especially not convenient for elderly.

Ordered cheese platter, tiramisu cake, and a drink — all worth it! Cozy ambiance. Chairs are bit uncomfortable as they are made of stones hope you they’ll put pillows on it 😂

The strengths to this cafe is their heavy breakfast/food items. Their burrito and bagel dish is quite yummy and filling. The coffees are not bad. The decor and ambience inside is quite nice, seems to be more darker and cooler compared to the outside. The cafe might not be obvious from the road as there is no big signage to indicate its location.

Chapel Street Cafe has been around for quite some time and they've had their place renovated. They seem to have changed their menu. Went there on a Saturday afternoon and it was easy to get a spot for brunch. **I've forgotten the name of the foods on the menu. But here's what I ordered: Garlic Sausage, Grilled Corn, Hangover Toast, Honey Bee and Banana Mocha. Garlic Sausage - hard to miss. 4/5 Grilled Corn - hardly taste the char on the corns. Corns were still ''juicy'' and under-seasoned. 2.5/5 (Hangover Toast) Scrambled Egg + Bacon + Toast - eggs were bland, bacon is just bacon. They've added cinnamon to the bread, giving the bread additional taste. However, personally felt that the cinnamon did not went well with egg and bacon. Cinnamon has a sweet ending to it, preferrably matching with something sweet like honey drizzles. 2/5 Honey Bee - americano topped with bubbled honey. Bubbled honey made it special 4.5/5 Banana Mocha - felt like normal mocha, without banana. 2.5/5 Liked the vibe and the service there. Lots of room for improvements.

This hidden cafe located amongst the private estates is highly recommended. We really love the peanut butter cookie! They offer a limited number of cookies so get them while stocks last. Breakfast was quite a spread too.

Touring around Penang island and found this hidden gem near our hotel when we were craving for a hearty western breakfast toast meal. Weekday morning with little crowd, great ambience and perfect selection of music, making it the perfect experience for us. Of course, the bagel and avocado toast are delicious~

Ambience superb. My picture could tell. Coffee suberb. I'm a coffee enthusiast. This place has once of the better coffee I had here. Food... not so. I ordered 3 dishes, every item comes with tonnes of super coarsely grinded black pepper. My big breakfast for example, meatball, scrambled egg, grilled tomatoes, sautéed mushroom all have lots of pepper. See my last photo to see how much pepper I have to take out from my food.

    1. Addon food takes around 40min to serve. 2. No wifi at back area & does not hv signal mesh/extender. 3. Main food takes around 1 hour to serve. 4. Nachos is served with mayonnaise sauce only, instead of salsa & is very dry. 5. Ordered Sandwich, but cashier keyed in Bagel that looks worst off compared to mamak burger.

👍 Queue seemed quite long when we arrived around 2.30 pm but we only waited about 20 minutes. I think they should have more signage to tell customers what to do so the process can be easier.
