This is a city-girl’s field day. Never have I see such a flat open space filled with rice. Makes me think twice about wasting rice ever again!

Highly recommended to visit, enjoy fresh air and take photos. A beautiful and scenic destination with a nice cool weather. It was rainy evening with fog around every corner covering hills and forests. The best place to spend a weekend in a peaceful atmosphere from the tense city life. The beautiful rural aspect of the surrounding greenery and rice fields conquer our eyes. Shops are just less but within a few kilometers we can get close to the shops and restaurants on the hillside. Buses are available to this beautiful place. From Balik Pulau Bus Station 403 and 502 buses go to rice field but we have to get off exactly stop and take a nature walk to reach this place.

We used to draw paddy field with sun, cloud and mountain in the background, birds flying and coconut trees when we were kid. Well this the place that we imagine that day.

This place is GOLD ! I skipped the city centre and bet my money to go to this secluded area , and man it was 1000% worth it. Though i arrived at near noon and the sun was blazing down on me , yet the area + surrounding was so clearly beautiful. Just find a good spot to sit for a while and took some nice picture. The paddy field stretch until the horizon..was suprised we can find this beauty in Penang. My advice , skip the city centre and come here

Good for the kids to go outdoor and see how padi planted. Is nice place to hang out and enjoy the scenery during evening. You will able to see all kind of birds in nature and you could rent a bicycle to ride along the padi field.

Worth a visit to the paddy field as there is a big mural wall for photo snapping. Early morning will find people ride bicycle around the field

Took a Grab from Georgetown (45rm) visited on a Monday and there was no one around. Great for pictures, bring your tripod! Sun is merciless. Pls bring an umbrella or day jacket. Very peaceful and pretty (fields of green!) but nothing much to do. No stalls that sell food or drinks nearby so pls have your meal before that or bring your own food. I heard that you can rent bicycles but we didn’t see any bike rental shops around. There is a seafood restaurant (Jia Siang Cafe) about 3km away but there was no Grab to drive us there so we WALKED FOR AN HOUR UNDER THE SUN. Very painful walk as it was very very very hot but the food was great! We saw some goats, cows, cats on the one hour journey πŸ˜‚

Only one way to go if opposite side of the car comes then will be a big problem πŸ˜‚ However, the view of the paddy field is really pretty as it welcomes me back to home 🏑

In search of a slower pace of life and to get closer to untouched nature we explored today β€œthe back” of the Penang - Balik Pulau, a southwest part of the island. The land is predominantly blanketed by lush greenery of the dense jungles, sheaths of paddy fields and rolling emerald hills, it’s the home to the orchards of delectable durians and the pristine water of the tranquil ocean.

Nice cycling trail. Too bad, we went at a time when the paddy has not been planted yet. The main attraction would be the artificially erected container art.

stop by to see up close the mural paintings in kg.terang balik pulau, suitable for bringing children to feel the atmosphere of the village surrounded by green plants. aggrieved not to be able to see the greenery of the paddy fields, already harvested.

Rustic kampung (countryside) tuckaway at the west side of Penang. Makes a great photoshoots backdrop. But be prepared to get sunburnt esp during the mid day of a sunny day.

Really love this place. Beautiful paddy field and friendly villagers. Parked the car near the car workshop and walk along single lane road.
