Their chicken dishes are good. Teriyaki chicken, Tori karaage, teppanyaki chicken are all very delicious. As for the seafood, saba shio and unagi are fresh and tasty, but unagi is a tad too sweet for us. Salmon is too thin. Tempura prawn and squid shio is okay. Fried mixed vegetables are better than fried mixed mushrooms. Two types of fried rice i.e. with salmon / with garlic is okay. Rice is a bit wet and a bit bland in taste. The waitress highly recommended their chawanmushi. And yea, it's quite nice but nothing too special. This is a small shop. Better call to make a reservation.

Good food for value. Friendly lady boss who comes out to serve on weekends and gives good recimmendations if you have no idea what to order. Strict SOP rules makes you feel safe to dine inside because overcrowding is never going to happen here. Limited tables tho hence it is recommended to make a call for reservation especially for big groups. Good to order in advance as certain dishes like sashimi needs time for preparation and book for availability. The squid dish is by far the best in penang.

My go-to place for Japanese meals. Recently, we went there and ordered the grilled calamari, two unagi bento boxes w/ soup and rice), fried salmon skin salad. Green tea was bottomless too.

A very home cooking food kind of restaurant. Won't expect wow factor but everything is balance, taste, portion all work well. The Japanese steam egg - chawanmushi comes with gingko and scallop at the bottom. Miso soup is comforting. The chicken we had not the regular teriyaki chicken comes with mashed potato. I forgotten about the name, it's a bit salty if eat alone but works well with rice. We had two sets cost RM 50.60 including 10%tax. We will be visiting again for other dishes.

One of the most decently priced Japanese restaurants in Penang. Portions are also good compared to the Japanese chain restaurants nearby at Island Plaza and Precinct 10, does not cheap out on the quality of food also. Either come here or to Aji Noren which is just behind this place if you're in the area.

The food is great and price is reasonable. Would be expecting slightly longer waiting time as chef seems to prepare the food after order made but it's worth the wait. Cold noodle is a must have.

The food was ok. But the service was horrendous. We, 2 adults, went in with a baby. We asked whether the tamago is freshly made today or it is an overnight type. I just want to know whether or not I feel comfortable to offer to my little one. One old lady answered me in a very very bad mannered , said “our tamago is is kept inside fridge , we don’t keep for a week” “if you don’t want to give ur baby eat then don’t give, you all eat” ... the way she replied me I already felt a bit offended. I feel she is very impolite. As in a service line, she can always answer in a very polite manner. But the way she answers is so “beh syok”. If I didn’t bring my baby along, she did tht to me, I would have just walk out of the restaurant. Then when she poured the hot green tea, I asked her to pour the hot water beside me as I don’t want her to pour the hot water above or beside my baby. She showed her “beh syok “ face to me and continue to pour the hot water beside and above my baby. Wahlao ... this kind of attitude. Then she went in complained to another Indian waitress . Both of them also show very unkind face. I ordered udon, when my udon was served, my baby said he wants to eat too. So I requested to have another small plastic bowl for my baby. The indian waitress take the bowl with unwilling face and passed it to us. She showed “beh syok beh syok “ face like their bowl is made of gold. Horrible service !!!!!! Will never return for such horrible service restaurant!!!!! What a “beh syok beh syok “ restaurant !!!! In my heart , I feel like telling tht aunty “hey aunty !! Pls be more polite !! Don’t keep showing me your 臭鸡蛋face .... want to eat ur food also no mood!!!!! “

Last 2 visits were horrendous. Had to wait an hour for the food to arrive. Outlet was clearly understaffed. No apology offered. Service was not good either.

The shusui was decent. The fried chicken was very good and juice. The salmon cheek was also very good and tasty. Overall 4.5 star. Service was also very good

Pleasantly surprised with the quality of food served. Our first time since we're on vacation and staying at Fettes Residences. Was disappointed that they didn't have fried rice nor onigiri for dinner. Ordered a few things like Saba Shio (amazing value and taste was really good! - comparing with what we usually get in KL, the price tag here is SO reasonable), Pork Tonkotsu was super moist and that sauce!!! Loved it so much. Tempura Udon had a clean taste to the soup and was refreshing. And my brother's Tori Karaage Jyu was legit better than a lot of big Japanese places in KL. Very excited to come back again before we leave.

Definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants in Penang! Their unagi is a must try! It's so fluffy and fuwa fuwa! All their dishes are supremely good as well! Do call to book earlier for dine in as they are mostly full house. Highly recommended!

This is a small restaurant but I like the food and ambience. The price are reasonable, the food are quite tasty and a lot to choose from. It would be great if they have coffee and dessert and close later

I have known this place for years, but usually no parking. Today we just roam and suddenly we decided to eat there. I ordered my favorite natto, the owner was worried that I can't take it, she added lots of spring onions and even mustard for me 😂 if there is parking space, we will come again.

The food was dope. I enjoyed it alot. But the over enthusiastic service staff aunty was abit annoying. She stood right by the table as soon as we opened the menu and as we flipped through the pages, Continues to tell us this and that is good. Annoying. But food was good. Place was nice and chill.
