😠 Save your money, time and energy for other things. 50 MYR it is too expensive considering that the paths are rusty and falling apart, beaches full of trash and you can even get lost on the way. People often mention boat, Beach, beach, hike, Monkey, entrance, park,

This is the entrance to the National Park. The smallest National Park according to the staff. Entrance is free if you want to hike to Monkey Beach, lighthouse, Keracut Beach or canopy walk. There is an option to hire a boat to those beaches either one way or both. But booking need to be done only at this entrance point. RM100 to Monkey Beach, RM200 to Keracut Beach. They open a canopy and table in front of the office and the staff really helpful in explaining what you can do or see in the park. Highly recommended place.

Conservation fee was implemented since Nov 2023, and pricing for tourists are too steep. 50RM just for entry. Locals pay only 10RM but it’s 5 times for foreigners. Unbelievable. They should reconsider the pricing. It’s too steep for tourists. That’s why there’s nobody coming.

Some nice hiking to be found here. Decide where you want to hike to before registering because you will need to provide this info. Take lots of water. I appreciated the free entry and not being charged a higher rate for being a foreigner.

Not really sure why some people got in for free. Me and the other people (foreigners) had to pay an entrance fee. Path was a bit harder than expected. Had to climb over fallen trees or through some foliage, but I guess that’s part of the fun. Monkey beach was nice overall, but there was a bit of trash. Some girl was stung by a jellyfish lol. There a restaurant by the beach which serves local food. Pretty good, the cold drinks definitely saved me since it was a hot day. I hiked further to the light house. Was expecting the stereotypical light house, but this one was a little guy…

No recommended This place feels like a tourist trap. You have 2 trails “monkey” or “turtle” (around 1h30 each). So part are closed. You have to pay 50RM to enter the parc or any trails. I let you read the review of the place the trails are taking you.

Several boat service stalls are located by the national park entrance. They offer friendly advice and information to guests wanting to hike and boat or take 2-way boat trips. Their options are flexible with tours taking you to either just Monkey Beach or further afield around to Turtle Beach and further. The staff were very friendly and helpful and not pushy. We decided to take a 2-way tour to Turtle Beach (for 45mins) stopping at Monkey beach on the way back (for 90mins). This cost RM200 + RM100 for the national park entrance fee (RM300 total for two people). We were able to pay via GrabPay as we didn’t have cash (the boat operators prefer this over credit card payment due to their fees). The national park entrance fee needs to be paid in cash, however the boat operator very kindly allowed me to pay the extra 100RM via GrabPay and they gave me the cash back, which was very nice! This saved a few mins walk to the nearest ATM. We were taken to the park office to get our tickets and then along a wooden jetty to get into the boat. The jetty is not in great condition, very uneven with many small gaps. Not idea if you don’t like heights or if you have small children or difficulty walking. You also need to climb down many steep steps / a ladder, to get onto the moving boat. Fun for us but could be very challenging for anybody not so mobile. The boat was a covered motorised boat with seating for up to 10 people, but we had it all to ourselves and the boat captain (who was very professional, informative and friendly!) We made several stops along the coast where he pointed out interesting sights and wildlife. After about 20mins we arrived at Turtle Beach where you can freely explore the small turtle sanctuary, deserted beach and the interesting seasonal saltwater / freshwater mix lake (a very rare occurrence in nature) and swing bridge. The boat picked us up after 45mins and took us along to Monkey Beach. Here we had a choice of staying however long we wanted. We arrange a meeting time with the boat captain and he came back to pick us up. Monkey Beach has food and drink stalls, rentable sun beds, ATV rides and toilets (RM1 per use). Be aware that swimming here is not recommended due to the huge number of jelly fish! After an hour relaxing on the beach, a short walk and watching the monkeys we rejoined the boat and journeyed back towards our starting point. On the journey back we were lucky enough to see some wildlife including Pink Dolphins swimming past the boat. An amazing experience! Ensure you are wearing suitable footwear for the boat and beach as getting on and off the boat requires stepping down a small ladder into the water before waking up the beach, so your feet will get wet. We absolutely loved the experience, and although it wasn’t necessary the cheapest half day’s entertainment in Penang, it was great fun to see the Turtles, Dolphins, Birds, Jellyfish, beautiful beaches and rainforest. It is a shame that more information is not available online about these boat tour options.

Took a boat tour to Kerachut Beach. Along the way saw eagles and rock formations of crocodile, turtle and rabbit. Saw baby turtles in sanctuary. Then walked to Meromictic Lake. The view was beautiful! Then to Monkey Beach. Had some good food there. It was a fun boat trip. There is also plenty of hiking trails. Recommended!

Ripping off tourists, we had to pay to park and then just when about to start the hike they wanted to charge us 50rm per person! No thanks!

Good hike to turtle beach. Approx 75 min. Not that difficult of a walk but the humidity makes it tough. We saw 2 monkeys in the wild. Beach was Nice at the end of the hike.

This was a luck find! There’s a wooden jetty that span far far out into the sea and it’s quite an adventure walking in those wobbly planks. Loved it.

Either by boat or walking thru jungle track. By boat need to buy ticket at least 10 passengers in 1 boat to reduce cost

If you like nature and beach you can hike here. The best scenery while hiking.

Drove here to go to monkey beach. They say that the path is closed but it's passable if you are fit enough to climb around some fallen trees. Free entry

I highly recommend you to walk from the visitor center to the Monkey beach so you can meet monkeys on the way and see the rainforest and several beautiful beaches

The hike to turtle beach was about 1.5 hours but well worth it.

👍👍 Beneath the golden hues of twilight's embrace, I wander the Esplanade, a tranquil space. Amidst the laughter of locals and tourists near, Nature's symphony and history's whispers I hear.
