3 stars for this 3-star hotel. Rooms, decently sized with an okay view. Bathroom is good while the beds were a bit too springy for me. You can tell that it is an old building that has been repainted and remodeled, but there is nothing wrong with that. Location is very ideal as it is right in the middle of George Town. Staff are friendly and nice. Facilities here are one of the strengths of this hotel. WOW, there is a jacuzzi hot tub on the rooftop which is accessible from the cafe restaurant (Fly me to). However, the prices are quite pricey. The lobby is very spacious and well equipped with seating and entertainment, there is even a kids playroom. Take note: to access the lobby from the carpark or main entrance, you have to go up by the stairs as there is no lift. Once in the lobby, lift goes from 1st to 5th floor. Grab or other car services will opt to pick up/drop off at main entrance. Overall, I enjoyed my stay at WOW Hotel Penang. Was quite impressed considering the price.

Worst stay experience. Housekeeping was not properly done. Dirty bedsheets, and toilet cleanliness is not well maintained too. AC is very slow, dusty, no maintenance whatsoever and room is warm all day. In addition to that, deposit money was not returned fully as the towels used are not left in clean condition. What do you expect when the towels are intended to be used for self cleaning??? Get your money elsewhere around the area. Very disappointing for a “3-star hotel”.

This hotel sucks. Should be shut down by the authority. . This hotel is a worst hotel i have been and i really dont know why Agoda should deal with this kind of hotels. Let me break down one by one. 1. The enterence for a bike is not really safe and narrow especially for a big bike such as BMW GSA 1250. Referring to picture, the bike enterence is really not safe for a rider to pass through. When i went to the car enterence. The parking crew( Cranky old Man) shouted to me saying the bike enterance is on the other side and should not use the car enterence. His behavior is very rude no respect to others. The old man misbehave and raising his voice up. This created unpleasant situation to me. Fyi, i reach this hotel after riding thousands of kilometers which i was extremely tired. The cranky old man do not have any manners to talk to me. Shouting and screaming in rude way. The small size bike enterence sure one day will cause incident or accident to any big biker in the future. See attached picture. 2. At the enterenace, i walk to the staircase to reach to the reception..but at first place i saw cockroaches at the staircase. Very unhygienic condition and ugly.The staircase edge is all peel off and bad condition. Exposed sharp edges in some locations. See attached picture. 3. At the reception, i can see the plaster ceiling is in bad shape as looks like in repair condition or damaged by water sipping through in various location. Seems like having leaking of plaster ceiling. See attached picture. 4. Customers sitting chair at the reception badly torn. This represent the hotel status as very well. 5. The fabrik on sofa at hotel reception have some unknown dirty stain mark. Very unpleasant view and condition.

The receptionist(friendly) is at level 1 , as I entered from the back (car park) there is a lift. The car park was free , just need to verified with the recptionist each time you going out. Water dispenser is at level 1. I had 2 queen/king bed in a room , which is quite spacious and very living with the led. Had the room is quite clean for me , the air-cond also is quite cold. I do not know if there is an excess from the front? Advised for the hotel , probably need to clean much better especially with the toilet would be best if was clean with proper chemical so the dirty stain will come off. Lack of channel for television , for at least to provide basic channel.

pretty standard for the price. the room is actually big and has a lot of space, but it was not what we expected since you can see water seepage from the walls and the flooring is not even. bed is quite comfy, bathroom is decent but sometimes smelled like sewage. for how big the room is, i wish they give us more table space and storage space. plus it has only 2 electric sockets in the bedroom. location is very strategic tho.

Very disappointed during check in. The room is not ready after 3.30pm arrived. The room is full of moist condition and smell like drain not washed. The toilet bowl cover is dirty with yellow stain. You can imagine of the cleanliness. The wall paint is peeling off with water seepage. See photos for yrself. Be your own judgement. The TV remote control is faulty and the reception cannot be bothered to change for a set upon asking. Send email to confirm but no reply since 1 week before the departure. Look at the conditions and the work they provided.

Everything WOW me, almost...spacious waiting area at reception level with corners suit for photo taking, children playroom, smoking area. Spacious car park at the backyard. U have to use the stairs if u using the front door to get to the reception at the first floor. The room i got was spacious but one side of the wall was wet and mouldy, small window (2'x2') and sometimes unpleasant smell came from the sewage system. The bathroom and toilet wall use transparent glass with no lock, only curtain from outside. Location is at walking distance from some of the attractions and eateries.

The room is quite worn - deformed mattress (too soft) and dressing table (bent), mini bar that isn’t really cold. A bit surprised that they don’t even provide facial tissue - found a toilet roll instead in the facial tissue casing. But the worst part about it is the power outage - happened the night before and right now I’m typing in the dark (it’s been 20 minutes since the power went out). Location is great but could have gotten better hotel rooms at similar pricing, chose this hotel cause of the wow factors like bath tub and play room for kids. But with the frequent power outage, don’t think it’s acceptable.

I won't stay in this hotel again - every little details they can do better but they decide to ignore and make it worst 1. Room clean up, never replace toilet paper - it's run out 2. Check in time 2pm - we check in at 4pm (2 extra hour for room cleaning yet haven't done, the reception lady ask us to wait for 15 minutes and she went off. Then the next lady took over her, I wait at the side for 15mins and another 15mins in front of her. She never ask what's my request and how can she help? What's wrong with the service attitude? 3. Only issue 1 access card - if you have more than 1 people, all the people need to follow you because go up the lift is accessible only with access card. Very inconsiderate arrangament. I ask whether can give extra card, another male staff say it is what it is. 4. Parking instruction never take the initiate to send to customer before hand 5. Car park road condition as bad as it's off road like in the forest. Probably forest road condition is better off. 6. Staff timeliness and ready to attend customer request was very bad. All these request and point to note is possible but the service level is severely worst experience I ever had.

The hotel is suck! After I get in to the room, first thing I saw is cockroaches , it’s come out under the bed and from the dustbin! Besides that, the toilet bowl can’t be flush, and the ceiling is leaking! Do not want to refund as ask to contact with agoda customer service, but agoda customer service ask to personal contact to the hotel to get the refund.

The rooms and service is okay. Location Abit of a ghetto place. But alright to stay just one night. Parking is another map location at the back. Need to have rm50 cash for deposit, we didn't have at that time, so they allow bank transfer too. The receptionist is not 24/7. So they close at 11pm and open at 7am. Alot of kids playground below. Good for kids too.

Comfy bed, good location to walk centre of George Town, easy check in, drinking water fountain in lobby, good powerful shower and good aircon. Rooms need a bit more love and care, and a new coat of paint. The bathroom also needs a deep clean, especially the shower. Overall the hotel needs a bit more TLC to make it feel nicer.

Good location with carpark provided. Morden design, game machine free for guest at level 1(lobby). There's a beautiful cafe on rooftop. Room is clean but bed is too soft. Sound proof weak, can easily hear beside room to switch on/off the socket, and even can hear they are talking.

Omg. I warn DO NOT COME HERE. 1) The room i got near the window is SO NOT SOUNDPROOF, I can hear the OUTSIDE NOISE SO LOUDLY EVENTHOUGH THE WINDOWS ARE SEALED SHUT. 2) the air conditioning is the WORST. Came in for almost 1 HOUR and still very HOT. 3) bath tub is very cheap…. Worst. 4)The bed omg. Is so cheap lookinggg. Conclusion: RM150 per night is very very not WORTH THE MONEY.

Booked from agoda for 1 night stay for 44 pax,,, i got a room for a price RM283.50 excluding their taxes,,, ( rm 295 inc taxes),,, The room supposed to come with soundproof but i can hear all the noises in the next room 😭😭😭 The door cannot be locked , there is a weird sound if u locked it It stated it comes with a minibar,,, oh my management where was the minibar man?? I couldnt find any in the room. Room is very dusty too Not recommended at all

It's was our annual Anniversary trip, I was given a choice to pick the best hotel in Georgetown & we picked WOW hotel. Unfortunately, nothing to WoW about it. Was given faulty room No. 205. Nightmares begin. 1st: The room was totally untidy, floors not sweep, bedsheets not properly made, worse still toilet not clean & walls plenty of stains. 2nd: Safebox not working, battery flats, got to call maintenance to unlock it. 3rd: Came back after shopping to open the room door, it not opening censor battery flats too. Again need maintenance guy. 4th: Sleeping for the night, found pillow so flatten it's hurts my neck. 5th: When nightfall, the worse nightmare happened, go toilet to clear my bowel, toilet bowl choked. Besides that, very minimum TV channels some even not showing anything. My wife got an injured knees & we have to walk up the stairs from ground floor to the main lobby located and 1st floor whereby the lift is only servings the rear side of the building from the open carpark. In general it's seems like everything rundown fast. Lastly, honestly to me the Room Service team and Frontdesk is doing alright, fast respond and attentive just that, the Management need to do a lot to improve and maintain the guests comfort. Bosses, Please look into it.

Very bad and disappointed for the wow hotel experience. First Hotel reception is very rude and unfriendly. When asked questions she like impatient. Very trouble for the free parking need to turn one round and chop the free parking on counter when we wanted go out. They not ready all essential. Also in room have find a cockroach. Strongly not recommend.

Location is center, but if drive car is so different to find the enter. And the room got a lot water mark , room and the picture totally big difference. No recommend

The worst hotel in my life!!! First check in there's a cockroach in my bed then i call house keeping. They showed up and give me empty bugs spray!! Then my bathroom sink is broken, water all over the bathroom. They said the maintance is off so I have to wait tomorrow to fix it. Then the day after i call front desk to inform them about the leaking in the bathroom, they said they are going to fix it ASAP. We even have to brush our teeth in the toilet because we can't use the sink. Then i go out for few hours, when I came back, my room still dirty, not cleaned yet and the sink still leaking, water all over the bathroom. I complain to the front desk, and the girl in the front desk was very rude and she said cleaning time is only between 3-6pm!! What kind of hotel does that???!!! The worst hotel ever!! First hotel stay at which is quite a shock when entering the room. The room is very warm, bad watermarks, the gold wall features over the bed is rotten and panels will fall off anytime,thus have to sleep the other way in case the wall features fall onto our face. The toilet roll is not renew, I have use my own tissues. The hotel along the main road means a very noisy room for me. The whole hotel does not seem have Aircon. The walkway to our room has a funny smell. As we only stay for a night therefore we did not bother to ask for a change of room. The only plus thing about this hotel is the location. Within walking distance to a local shopping mall-Gama and few nice eatery. With the same room rate, I'll try another hotel.

The reception here are super friendly. Everyone of them. they pick up the call super fast also. overall the cleanliness here not so 5 star but still acceptable. location is very convenient. I enjoyed the stay.

From outside, the hotel looks like a normal motel type. But you will be surprise when you get inside. The environment is quite nice. The staff was also helpful. Easy access to parking. The room is cheap but huge and clean. Got junk food vending machine, my kids love it. Unfortunately we are too afraid to let them enter the kids playzone. And the rooftop also under maintenance. Will visit again next time.

Room is spacious. Parking lots are plenty and free of charge for Hotel Guest. Can drive your car outside as many times as you want, just make sure you stamped the parking ticket at front desk.

First time here. Experienced a very nice and cozzy hotel. Room condition is Wow as its name and pictured. Conaidering nice view from the room. Located in the heart of Penang Island. Fitted for business person for an easy and quick access appointment. Convenient stores, restaurants, services and tourism attraction nearby with just walking distance.

To hotel is modern and chick..they have rooftop that oversee Komtar..location is very central with komtar only a walking distance..room is clean and adequate space..not the largest nor smallest room i have stayed in..the only downside is the information given from their website..they offered free breakfast and free room upgrade.. unfortunately that was not the case upon checking in..the staff did not know anything about their own website..this can be considered as misleading the customer..hope they can change the information given on their website if there is no such thing as free breakfast and room upgrade

The only good about this hotel is the location and the receptionist. The room is very dirty, the bathroom cover with mold here and there. What most unacceptable is, a lot of cockroach!! We back to the room after dinner and there are 5-6 cockroach in the room, and when u shower, there will be 1-2 cockroach accompanying 🙄

Decent hotel in a strategic location. Nearby to Prangin Mall. Kids will love this hotel as they have a playground inside 🙂

Will not come here again!. Actual not as imaged. Disappointed on the servis. Book superior room but I think I got the standard room. The bed obviously queen not king. Are they have special definition on the bed size??. 4 times we talk to them but no action was taken. The room also as in the image for standard room. I think this is kind of scam. I want to report this to police. Because they lie our money. Reading so many bad comment here in google.. why I don't saw these comment in the Agoda page. Ughhh. It's kind of gamble when you came here. Only several room are good. And the facilities(trust me you don't have time to use it especially for short stay) kind of unique from others. I think this is why they can hold their rating. But when you're in problematic room/situation then there's no action that will satisfy you.

This hotel is literally 500-600m away from Georgetown's famous cendol, ais tingkap, chowrasta. We walked there and it's easier than finding a park in the mid of the city. This hotel is child-friendly and has many games and activities for kids, as you can see in the picture. Although some of the toys are broken and unable to play with, the kids' gym is still an adventurous place to play at. The interior is simple yet elegant, the staff are friendly, the rooftop is a fun place to hang out at. There's tables and chairs, life-sized chess set, a mini spa/jacuzzi (self-service and on first come first serve basis), a room with foosball, pool and stuff. We can also see The Top's dinosaurs from up here 😂 The room is okay, it's clean and cozy. The air-cond is not that cold, but I don't really mind it because I don't like being cold that much. There's a mini fridge, iron, hair dryer, electric kettle and a safety box in the room. It's worth the money for a night's stay, my kid really had fun 😁

The room is good enough, location is good. However they have in total 4 spare keys available for an estimated 30-40 rooms. Meaning 1 in 10 rooms can request a second key card to enter the building, activate the elevator and open the room. So if you want to go out and your partner wants to stay in, the one inside needs to go without electricity OR the one outside will not be able to come back in again. When asked for a solution at the front desk, the reaction was that all 4 cards are in use...so that's it. Maybe tomorrow other guests that currently posses a spare keycard check out than you can get that one. Terrible service.

Big n cozy room with big n super nice shower. Parking at d back of the building. Location very central just walking distance to Komtar, Hutton Lane roti bakar, pasar Chowrasta etc. The park on the roof top is so great. Recommended.

I stayed here for 2 nights and got my room upgraded to a deluxe upon arrival. The bed was very comfortable and hotel itself is nicely designed. I don't have anything bad to say about this hotel. Definitely recommend it!

I entered a room with a used bedsheet, pillows and blanket. Ask the reception to change but didn’t changed yet mentioned will do the bedsheet replacement the next day, which means I need to sleep on someone else bed. Hair and blood stain from previous guest remained. Toilet is not washed and has previous urine smell from previous guest. External Wall with water stains. Having difficulty and feel disgusting to sleep. Not hygienic at all. Paid RM199 but sleep on a reused bed. TV remote said has lost. Need to press button behind the TV to watch and only one channel available..

Very interesting decor.. Unique experience. Roof top has a glamping area... "Fly me to..." with tents for unique dinner experience.

The presidential suite was amazingly wow.... And the price is cheap for the hotel experience... Definately will come back...

The room needs some care. After I checked in, noticed that there was very little toilet paper, so when I went to get tissues, there were also barely any left. I noticed when I opened my folded bath towels after a shower, there was a clump of black hair in it which was quite unsightly. The bed is soft and the mattress surface had little uneven clumps. Do note that the tv channels are all local channels, means no English language shows at all. It is a spacious room with a mini fridge, big bath tub, sitting chairs, and an ironing board. For the price, I guess you can't have too high expectations. Good for maybe 1-2 nights as location is central.

First time staying at WOW Hotel. Highly recommended. Staff are friendly and location is great, can walk to the nearby famous food places. Our room was clean. Parking lot is quite big and is free, located behind the hotel. Overall the hotel is good, except that our bathroom was flooded when we took showers😰 Kindly note that the deposit of RM50 needs to be paid in cash. Lobby is nicely decorated and have children playroom.👍

Hotel was nice. especially the bathroom. very ideal for couples. The cons is, not enough cooling due to AC location is further from the bed. other than this, its good.

Good location (near komtar), big big parking, superb air-con, nice view of the Top,famous nyonya is within walking distance Things can improve: 1)more clearer sign to show the entrance of the hotel(easily miss out) 2) longer curtain to cover the bathroom (can avoid the embarrassing moment: especially for the friends who shared the room)

I really love this hotel, one of the best hotel I've ever been. Restroom shower very nice. Also provided coffee and water heater. Suitable for kids too.. there's indoor playground for kids..and games for adults. The hotel decorations is pleased...smoking room provided. Its really good...its has a bigggggg parking lot...overall i love it

Very Dodgy Hotel Situated in Unsafe area. Many homeless ppl loiter right there! There is no lobby or reception n no security of cos!! the entrance like the back door is hard to find n only way in n out. The Reception cannot speak English and the woman on the mobile is a spoilt daughter f or mistress )of boss. Very rude n action like to boast been to 30 countries. Must have cheated with the Reviews!!

Cleanliness overall good. Shower water pressure very good. The room I stayed had 2 issue....... AC not cold and very slow water drainage in shower room. I'll come back again to WOW on next visit to Penang

The hotel is accessible by Bus(2.40 ringgit per person) or taxi ( 50 ringgit) from Airport. It is sorrounded with Malls, restaurants, bars and indoor recreation. If you want to go outside the city you can easily rent a motorcycle just few minutes walk from hotel. The staff are so nice and accommodating. They clean the room everyday and replace bath towels. It only have a really small window but it didn't bother us since we are out all the time.We are satisfied with our stay.

Don't be fooled by the pictures of the lobby, everything, from the staff to the rooms, is really bad. The staff has no willingness to help, and they seem uninterested in customers altogether. The room has a wifi that is not functional, a fridge that doesn't cool, an AC that takes ages to do its job, a shower that soaks the floor, a tiny window that's not enough, and bed bugs.

Not meant for people who are sensitive to the environment, atmosphere, noises and sounds from within and without, hairs on floor, no bathroom mat to dry wet feet after showering, mites or something that bite and itched. Booked for 2 nights, after 1st night, request to change room. The changed room was not better off except for no hair on the floor. Oh yes, the itchiness was worst, became patches of rash. The lobby and front desk staff were great, helpful and nice. Good parking space.

It a good location and free parking provided . Wow hotel didn’t maintain well their facilities. Kids playroom is dirty and smelly . The front office staff also didn’t provide a proper hospitality . For the room , I was very very disappointed that when I check in , the bed was been used by other ! Is a bed after having sex ! Room was smelly and dusty ! Toilet wasn’t clean well , is sticky ! I feel very bad that WOW Hotel has 3-hour room rental service and didn’t manage the room well ! Good location but bad room environment!
