Thirty Three Stewart Houze

Guest house

😠 Got bed bugs from this place and carried them to my next location. Dorm was rundown and full of stuff, seemed like a dumping ground for bits and pieces around the hostel. Location was decent and lockers were provided but would not recommend. Spend a little bit extra and stay somewhere else. People often mention clean, room, nice, location, friendly, stay, guest, owner, great, good,

5-10 minutes walk from main attraction, but still quite place. Bed was comfortable and AC was efficient. Bathroom could be cleaner and there is no soap. Place is filled with some random furniture and random things. Right price for what you are getting.

This capsule hostel really helps you if you want a privacy with a cheap price, 35 MYR per night. The bathrooms are clean, but I found difficult to adjust the right temperature for the hot showers. Breakfast is enough: bread, nice jams, oatmeal, coffee, and tea. The room even have a safe deposit box and lockers. Security is excellent, the guest will have an access card. The location is excellent, very close to CAT (free bus) stop, near to Lebuh Muntri, and I like the quiet surroundings. The owner are very hospitable, I feel very welcomed as a guest here. The only drawback of this hostel is there are too many stuffs at the hotel lobby. I think it's because the family also lives here so they put their stuff publicly.

The owner was very friendly. A really great location and bargain for money. The rooms were small and cluttered as there was only a small walkway which was also where we had to store our bags. There was also a very damp smell in the building which lingered on our clothes. I'd recommend opening up the doors to the dorms on a daily basis to allow for them to air out and freshen up the room. The sheets also did not fit the beds properly which was quite uncomfortable to sleep in and we had to request a cover for our duvet. However the owner did his best to resolve these issues in a very helpful and positive manner when we mentioned them to him. Overall I'd recommend to stay here as it was good value for money and if you're travelling then you won't be spending too long in the room so the smell won't effect you πŸ˜‰

Backpackers spot. Great location for George town and public busses to go all over the island, jetty and airport. Not so great for chilling out.

Overall a decent place to stay for a couple nights. The showers could use a mat outside to wipe your feet off on but otherwise things were fine. It wasn’t a dirty place but it was full of... junk? It would benefit from some decluttering. Managers were nice and I liked that they remembered my name!

Great hostel and very welcoming and helpful staff. The price is very cheap and includes a very modest breakfast. Great for travellers on a budget. The rooms were big, comfy and had Aircon and it was quiet enough at night. It's right in the backpacker district so within walking distance of food and drinks.

You won't regret staying here if you just need a place to chuck your bags and enjoy Georgetown. It's a simple capsule like room which has a curtain for privacy. The aircon is good and there is a plug socket next to the bed. The people who work there were helpful and pleasant to talk to. My only qualm would be that the bed sheets weren't super clean so I don't know if they wash them between each guest.

Great family run guesthouse, clean, comfortable, value for money, safe, centrally located. Close to Chulia Little India without the noise.

Very good accommodation. The capsule bed is perfect to rest. The location is another good point. The owners are so friendly and polite. There is AC all the time working.

Lovely homestay with friendly aunty and uncle, located right in the heart of Georgetown so it's perfect for those who wants to explore the town on foot. The house is Peranakan traditional style, quite narrow but quite long with the signature stair of Peranakan houses. The rooms are a bit small but that's okay for us as we just come back to the room for sleeping

At first I got scared of the place but I should tell you it is really the best location and the AC inside of room works really well! You can also have free drinking water and normal hot water for shower! The door gets locked by a key they give you. The only thing that made me give 4 starts was that there was no person to give me the key or do the checkin; you need to call him and then he tells you how to enter the building ( it's easy, don't worry). About cleanness of room, it's normal good and I didn't get mosquito problems because I quickly closed my door whenever I went outside

A perfect place! The owner is super friendly and helpful. The room (a double bed in the 4-beds room) was convenient. You got an AC, your own vent and your on AC plug (+2 USB). Once you close the curtain you feel really in your own place. The mattress is really great. The showers/toilets are very clean. The breakfast was simple and nice (and if you're vegan just ask for a dark coffee (not the 3-1 that has milk)). The wifi isn't very reliable but other than that 5/5.

Had a great stay here! It was nice to have a bit of privacy in my bed and the owners were very friendly and accommodating. He made sure to explain to me where to go for food and helped me schedule my bus on to my next destination. Also, the location is very convenient and central. It's cool to stay in a restored, historical building! I really recommend staying in this hostel!

The staff is nice and the breakfast is too. Oatmeal and toast with different kinds of jam and coffee/tea. The dorm has clean sheets, no bedbugs and no dust. The toilets are fresh, theshowers are clean and provides hot water. It's comfortable to shower there.

I stayed at dorm for 5 nights, very comfortable. Each cell has its own curtain and is tall enough for me to read a book, play iPad etc. without bending my neck. There are 3 shared bathrooms for dorm, and so there was no stress during my stay. I strongly recommend this guesthouse if you don’t like party very much and don’t smoke.

Best Location to anywhere in Georgetown. Surrounded by Eateries, short walk to famous food streets too. Grab is readily available and buses are just short walk to the main road.

Stayed at single room for 3 nights. The ambience is nice, feeling homey. It is right in the Georgetown itself and you can just walk to most tourist places there. Restaurants around hotel were awesome too.

Very welcoming & friendly uncle who runs the place, i stayed in the single room with private bathroom. Everything was clean and tidy, and because it’s in the middle of the city you have to get used to the noise. Overall a great experience.

Lovely guest house, colonial style. Owners are nice. The rooms are clean, and so are the shared baths Right in the middle of little India and Chinatown

Something supernaturally happened. There is no service there, no water dispenser, no breakfast, no iron, etc. Located strategically to city centre but lack of parking.

Very comfortable rooms. We had a double bed in a 4 doubles dorm and each bed had a privacy curtain that let absolutely no light through. Each bed also had a silent ventilation fan and individual sockets, a very good touch. The room A/C worked very well. Free drinking water available, very likeable staff and tour/travel tickets available from the desk.

The owners are very nice. The rooms are really small, there is no kitchen. 50 MYR per night for double bed in a dorm. For small budget it will do.

Quite convenient for me as a solo traveller. The place is clean but a bit congested.
