    Don't bother to come here. There are plenty of good hospitals, Doctors and nurses in Penang. The process is super slow. Queue up for payment takes 1.5 hours (must make payment first before the nurse will call up/arrange blood test/scan). The whole process is unclear, confusing and a waste of time. Luckily, the staffs are friendly and well manners. I wonder what is the Operation Management doing. A big mess in LGL.

    Love the doctors here but the nurse, the admissions, they really need to take a hospitality class!! They are very rude to a patient especially when you use an insurance!!! Itโ€™s just too bad they have a good doctor but the nurses and the admissions lady are so impolite and harsh!! I mean itโ€™s hospital , itโ€™s a place where a patient can get treated well so they can feel better afterwards but not here, they are just gonna keep mad at the patient!! They really need to improve their customer service or else they will start loosing their customerโ€™s trust. Used to love this hospital a lot but oh man they just keep getting worse and worse each time i came here. If i can give 0 rating i would totally give 0 rating to the admission lady for keep angry at us for using an insurance!

    There is no proper sitting arrangement for person waiting for the out patient... Had to stand all the way till my mom & sis finish the testing & consultation. The staff were so busy with their own work (checking their phone) with no time to answer question to coming clients. There were 2 empty chairs which is being used to keep things but was not offered to waiting people

    Not recommended. The system is super slow, can't make appointment too. The appointment u made is just a reminder for yourself to come to the hospital, u still have to take number and queue for your turn. I spent nearly 3 hours there, for only 15min consultation. Register 30min, queuing to see dr 2 hours and waiting for payment 45min without medication. Pls hire more staff if u are facing low man power issue. And pls consider to change your computer system to a more advance one.

    I live right behind the hospital, facing their morgue and MRI room or whatever. So every morning 7am I wake up to them opening closing the shutter loudly, thatโ€™s fine, Iโ€™m used to that. But tonight, the management decided itโ€™s a good idea to have their staffs move things out of the room from evening till midnight? Itโ€™s almost 1am now, the staffs are making lots of noise and talking loudly as they do their work. How am I gonna sleep, I have work tomorrow ๐Ÿซ

    The worst hospital ever. My father was admitted last week for CT Scan. After discharged, I asked for the CT Scan deposit receipt for insurance claim purposes. The hospital cannot give me. After 1 week, I came back to take the report. Asked the nurse, I want to take the report, she said, โ€œI donโ€™t know. I am not in charge of this.โ€ Asked the nurse inside the doctorโ€™s room, she said, โ€œEveryone has gone home. I am not able to provide you the report.โ€ I have waited for 2hrs for nothing?!!! My father is going for surgery tomorrow. Why Loh Guan Lye cannot give me the report?!!! We have paid for this! Worst hospital ever!!!

    The stars mostly come from the specialists and their room nurses; very thorough and professional, and really show that they know what they do. They are very effective and provides quick solution for your condition. Yet just like many other reviews here, such kind of specialist center could really use system improvements so it can significantly decrease the patients' wasted waiting time. Everything seems to be manual, so do not come when you're in hurry; the system will frustrate you. And as a foreign visitor, I am quite disappointed with the payment system as well which is really discouraging for debit card users; even if it is using internationally recognized gateway such as MasterCard or Visa. Canteen has cheap good food with decent portion; another plus point.

    No complaints about the doctors at LGL, but the appointment system & waiting time at LGL is really bad. Made an appointment 2 weeks prior and was informed that it is based on a first-come-first served basis based on the ticketing system. However, waiting time is too long (it dragged until 1.45pm) and when I approach the nurse for an estimate on when I was able to see the doctor, the nurse was dismissive and shooed me away. I merely wanted to know the estimate time so that I can plan to go for lunch first and come back later to see the doctor. But it seems that the nurse does not care if you starve. There was a TV screen to show the patient queue but it did not move/change at all. It remained the same from morning till afternoon. Since it serves no purpose, I would suggest LGL to off the TV in order to save on electricity charges and develop a proper appointment app like some of the other hospitals in Penang. I also do not understand the point of making an appointment when I see some other patients (seems to be sent from other doctors in LGL) who were not even waiting there from morning could just cut the queue and those who had already taken the ticket was pushed further back into the queue. If LGL wants to compete with other reputable hospitals in Penang island, they really need to work on a better appointment system with a better system/app and hire better nurses with hospitable patient care & caring attitude.

    1. When I checked into the hospital on September 27, 2023, I had to head to Loh Guan Lye Hospital because there was no doctor at Gleneagle that night. They explain to me with a higher fee for the visit since it was late, but, honestly, this is pretty common in other hospitals. 2. After they took my blood and ran some test, I found myself twiddling my thumbs for almost two hours without any updates or info. 3. Now about the room. If you come in empty-handed, you're out of luck. No spare clothes, toiletries, or towels. Also, the room's AC is shared, not each room having its own. They charged me RM200 per night for a double room, but that didn't include food and drinks. To be real, it felt like a rip-off for a room that wasn't up to snuff. And the hospital food, which cost RM90 a day, wasn't winning any awards for taste. 4. The nurses, on the whole, were cool. But there were a couple of nurses at the Level 3A counter who sometimes had attitude issues. The nurses who took care of me in my room were nice and attentive, though. 5. Now, the doc I had, Dr. Naa Boon, was a bit of a letdown. He showed up late, and it seemed like he just came whenever he felt like it (nurses there also mentioned the same) He didn't volunteer info about my diagnosis, and I had to ask three times before I got a straight answer. He'd pop in for just a few minutes during his two visits a day, so I barely saw him. What bugged me the most was he wouldn't give me a discharge summary, which I needed for my company to cover my hospital stay. 6. The billing process was a snail's pace, and it cost me an arm and a leg. It felt like they were pros at keeping me there longer than necessary. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SPECIALIST TO ANYONE

    DO NOT EVER DO YOUR RTK TEST at this hospital. Results will take more than an hour for just a number of patients. Please take into consideration that the people that do this test were all patients who is not well and weak immune system. It takes just 1 positive case and I can be very sure that all those seated there will be infected! When asked the staffs they happily replied normally it takes an hour for them to revert the results. Is this the SOP? My company does 300 + RTK test weekly for foreign workers, it takes an hour for full results to be generated. I think they should revamp this whole dept by employing those private clinics outside.

    The old wing registration procedure very confusing. Stand for an hour restlessly. The ultrasound and blood test etc registration counter staffs not friendly at all. They just shout out the patient name but 6 counters staffs won't entertain you till the yellow uniform staff walk to me and give a helping hand. The receptions showing attitude and keep nagging too many patients..A bad experience. Frankly, the staff nurse and doctor are excellent. The hospitality of admission is good as well. The bad experience is when you are an out patient. The staffs no eye contact neither attentive at all. Just leave me wondering around to find out myself what should I do next step. The worst is when stand in front of them by right I should standing the immediate next counter. They dont care neither answering me. Just left me standstill till the yellow uniform come to me. The management should alert about this matter. I have been visiting this hospital since year 1982. A big disappointing.

    This is the worst private hospital I have ever been. Charging higher cost but deliver the most lousy service. It do not deserve any single star and this hospital is not up to standard to serve the public. Firstly, My mom was sent to this hospital for treatment. The administration told us their old wing is full. We need to pay extra to stay in new wing. With own expenses. Because insurance not cover for expensive bed. This is ridiculous. It's your hospital problem for insufficient beded why we need to pay extra for it? You can stop accepting patient at beginning. Their nurses is very very rude and not helpful at all. I need to mentioned is old wing Level 3. Not all nurses but majority. Some is still quite helpful. Etc Chinese nurse. They always listen and help. Those bad nurses, would rather avoid eye contact from us, to avoid any request from us. We need to get hot water by our own and also question by the staff : why you keep taking hot water?! What?! Hospital got restrictions to take water??? My mom stay in old wing. Those bad nurses treat patient very bad, ignore patient request. Pretending not seeing. When my mom request for more blankets because she is too cold. Their air-conditioning cannot be adjusted as well. Those nurses said she already have enough blankets. They don't give her. I paid deposit for RM 500 for early discharge. It's on mid of February. They will return to me once the final bill released. After one month past, in March. They still yet to refund to me. The final bill already released few weeks back. I called them to check, the staff not even know the final bill released or not. Again what is the lousy system can be? And they told they will only refund to me in three weeks time. You took my money immediately but take 3 weeks to Refund. I would say a bad management will allow this kind of rude and bad nurse staying in the hospital. If patient really matter to them, I believe this kind of things wouldn't happen. And those behaviour and attitude is UNACCEPTABLE AND UNBEARABLE! Last by not least, this hospital is tremendous bad. If I could launch a complain to them, definitely I would. Please choose other hospital. There is still plenty of private hospital in penang. Don't come here for bad experience. My sincere advice.

    As a local Penangite who has been visiting this hospital for so many years, it is undeniable that the panel of specialists here are really professional. However, I personally think Loh Guan Lye Specialist Centre needs to improve on various management aspects especially the long wait during registration, making payment and collecting medication. The wait is so long that it can sometimes consume up to 30 minutes or an hour just for simple tasks. The lack of manpower definitely caused these complicated issues, but maybe Loh Guan Lye Specialist Centre should move towards modernisation ; online registration / self-registration kiosk to ease the process (just my two cents).

    Doctor who treated me is good, but the hospital system is bad. One nurse told me to wait for instructions to discharge, but in the end I had to ask only then they said actually I can check out one hour ago. Wasting my time waiting. Then when I went to cashier, ask for bill information, they said they will deal with insurance company directly, refused to give to me. I should have the right to know the cost of my surgery, what kind of nonsense is that. K

I feel compelled to bring to light the interactions I had with two Chinese elderly staff members, as their conduct significantly impacted my overall perception of the hospital. The two elderly staff members at the counter displayed a notable lack of empathy and cordiality. Their interactions were marked by a discernible impatience and a dismissive attitude towards my inquiries and concerns. Their demeanor left me feeling unwelcome and discouraged from seeking assistance. It is essential to highlight that in a healthcare setting, especially within a hospital, providing compassionate and understanding care is paramount. Patients and visitors should feel assured that their needs and concerns are being acknowledged and addressed respectfully. Unfortunately, the conduct of these specific staff members fell significantly short of these expectations. Improving the attitude and behavior of the counter service staff, particularly the two elderly Chinese ladies in question, is essential to fostering a more positive and supportive environment for patients and visitors at Loh Guan Lye Hospital. I hope that the hospital management takes this feedback constructively and implements measures to enhance the overall service quality and customer experience.

    Clean place with calming environment. There are good doctors such as Dr. Tan Eng Guan and Dr. Shankar but there are also some terrible doctors. The waiting time is unbearable while meeting time with her is too short. LWEH service has gone from good to bad especially this year. Some of their staffs need to go for course on how to be polite and attentive to patients. Parking is spacious but need to pay minimum RM1. Pharmacy is another place with mediocre speed of handling and mediocre attitude.

    Hosopital is good , but Please don't and never look for Orthopaedic & Spine Surgeon Chong Kheng Ling. Very not professional doctor with bad temper. He will not explain clearly and scold patients without any reason. We waited for the x-ray for so long not our fault , but he keep chasing us because he want to go for lunch. Never explain anything just give medicine and ask us come back again. He scold my mom when my mom don't get his explaination. He is not a professional doctor.

    Unfriendly chinese receptionist at 1st floor outpatient counter and gave wrong info. Doctor are never punctual. Might late 1 to 2 hours. Canteen food quality is based on the chef mood (sometimes the chicken is not cooked properly) and very expensive. Totally not worth the price. Clean hospital with lots of parking space is the only upside. You can do better please. Haha. ๐Ÿคฃ

    I did full body check-up at here and found something in my blood result, so I took medicine for a month to kill the bacteria. Then came back again to take blood test to see the result, so i waited for 2 hours to see the doctor, doctor told me the result is pretty. Just 1 sentence, around 15 seconds, charged me consultation fee 70+ ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ Vampire or what, he dare to charge without feeling guilty.... I should have just get the report without seeing the doctor.... I think i wont come back anymore, wait too long for real

    sadly 1 is the minimum star. i wanna give 0. For god sake, this hosp make my insurance koyak and never do their job properly. whoever think of coming here, pusing go other hosp. 1 minor surgery here gave me 8 years of fighting the case with insurance company. last investigation proven is the hosp that simply write report.

    Dr Voon from O&Go I would give more than 5 stars. She is very humble and genuine doctor. Highly recommended. Finance dept needs lots of improvement, making patients wait for RM24.00 after deposits of RM7000.00 don't make sense. Asked if possible to make the balance payment on next appointment. Not possible, reason was given which dept don't forward their charges and what not, it's got nothing to do with patient or client. We don't want to know what goes on within your organisation. Sort out whatever inefficiencies that your management have or the ineffective flow your hospital is facing. COVID 19 RTK Antigen test NEED MAJOR improvement. Priority and needs of I'll patients needs to be given consideration. Not wait for hours for a 15 mins report!!!! Maybe, some money are not worth to be earn, maybe the patient can get their test report from outside clinic before 24hours to get admitted to hospital??? There are many ways to overcome this time wasting procedures. The attitudes of the RTK staffs need major improvement, they said and hour or 2 is like something not be proud of. They have this don't care attitude which is bad for the hospital!!

    i had consultation with urology doctor about my dad prostate cancer, he said my dad kidney is swollen and suggest to do operation to insert tube in my dad body, the operation failed but hospital charge us full amount of operation cost, when i ask about that, the staff said because the operation used many tools. the doctor then suggest us to insert through the back so my dad will have two urine pouch hanging behind his back for months and surely it will interfere with daily activities and when we didnt want to do that and told the doctor honestly that we want to look for another solution the doctor said its okay and my dad kidney still not that bad, so we went to another hospital and the other doctor gave us solution without insert the tube. now im wondering why did we do the operation and waste so much money for ? and im glad we not doing the operation from the back, could u imagine how hard my dad life would be with 2 urine pouches hanging behind his back for something not so urgent n not really necessary. i've been visited many hospital in penang, and i can tell this urology doctor talk less compare to doctor in another hospital, he only give short answer to our questions and never really explained in detail

    Had a bad experience, iโ€™ve waited for two hours to consult the doctor and waited another one hour just to pay my medical bill. The cashier took too long and seems not guilty and comfortable with her working pace. Totally waste of time and ridiculous.

    Worst customer service. Worst experience ever in this hospital. WORST. 1st case, Let my elderly parents wait for 3 looong hours. My dad was in pain for fractured leg. Yet they make him wait and long last get to meet the doctor for a whole 5 minute and only advice was to send us home without fixing his leg even thou x-ray already shown cracked bones. didn't even bother to cement or bandage. Said come back later need to screw. Waited for 2-3 days never followed up. We end up going to another hospital. Oh ya, never even bother to help u push wheel chair. 2nd case, my 2 year old son was in fever and we had to wait for 2 hours and yet to see the doctor so we balik go clinic better.

    New registration took 15mins, queue for visit doctor took 1 hour. Doctor Yeow Toh Peng very professional and patience, she listen to patient and explaint in very details. Give her a LIKE! Environment is clean and staff is helpful however the cafe need to improve for their service and too expensive.

    Doctors:amazing Admission: very slow, admitted my son at 12pm and yet havenโ€™t submitted any details for insurance(already 4pm)โ€ฆvery slow First time experiencing no water jug or hot water flask for second class room(first class room gets it), the room is so small and not worthy at all. Requested to change the room , they said none and when I pointed out the empty room, they said itโ€™s under maintenance ,at 2pm it was equipped with patientโ€ฆwhy need to lie. Regretting for admitting my son here. It will be the first and last in this hospitalโ€ฆ

    Think twice before you visit here for body check up. There is no proper process on how each person is queue up. All very manual so to cut the queue just knock on the door of the doctors or procedure room, high chance they will let you cut the queue. Been with LGL for other things that has nothing to complain but nothing to shout about as well.

    When I asked for a very large deposit and when I wanted to get the deposit back it took a long time, I was very disappointed with the performance of this hospital in terms of admissions, medical services or nurses, there were so many nurses on the 3rd floor, only a few good nurses, the rest were arrogant, especially the Indian nurses. .. When it's time for us to go home and we repeatedly say we've gone home, the deposit is still taken as if we, the Indonesian people, will be a source of money for them, please be careful and think twice if you want to get treatment here, don't let us Indonesians, especially Medan residents, don't go to this hospital. Please, there are still many hospitals in Penang which are still very good, I am very, very disappointed, if I may I will not give any marks, close the ranks, don't go to this hospital again, please inform me of other Indonesian nationalities, I am my husband who wants to be referred to another hospital in Kuala Lumpur because he has an illness.     Be careful if you buy medicine at the pharmacy, Guab Lye. The price is 2x as expensive. Fosamax plus costs 124 but Guan Lye Hospital sells it for 216. Even if we want to buy it outside, it's not allowed. Luckily we only bought one box and bought the others outside. I thought what about poor patients

    My father was admitted at LGL for a month. Despite known that he has zero sensation from abdomen downwards, nursing care was very disappointed at 3A. He was in single room due to infection. That was also where nurses ignored his call button after having passed motion in his diaper. He was left unattended for 4 hours. Even with my presence, similar situation took 45 mins, as they thought I left the hospital (when I was running ard to meet the doctors) after multiple time reminders!!! They told us he has mild bedsore, but when we arrived at GH that it was shown to be bad ones! Spending so much money and now has a free gift from LGL. Only great thanks to Sister Joanne and Sister Mas fr 3A for their assistance in transferring to GH as well as this very caring nurse assistant, Adnan for his great afforts of loving care to patients and caregivers.

    Parking fees are too expensive, I park 45 minutes only but charge for RM4.00 per entry. It's not fair for short term parking customer, especially for insurance agent. Some hospital even provide special parking place for agent at FOC. Hope the hospital's management will look into it!

    I was admitted last week 10/11/2020. Removed my gallbladder. Treated by two doctors. There were Dr Low and Dr Chin. They are good, nice & experience doctors. At first, many people said the services from Lam Wah Ee hospital is bad but for my 8 days 7 nights stayed was great without any complains. Even most of the nurses are students, but they were good & helpful. Some of them really less experience but they were patient enough. In terms of the foods, itโ€™s ok but sometimes the lunch or dinner just a bit salty. The charges for me seemed OK just the accounts department staffs not so friendly. But, overall everything still fine. Keep going!

    For profit only hospital. Unfortunately here patient care and health is second to money and profit. Money comes first and their charges are too expensive and overtly high. Furthermore their doctors are not that good or maybe just pushing for procedures and operations to boost their income and make profit for the hospital. Bad experience here...even the medication is overtly charged and can get the same medication for less than half the price at pharmacy. Very bad experience here.

    My grandmother did a hip replacement here by Dr Goh Eng Tat, he did a fantastic job. He cares about the patient genuinely and answer our questions professionally. A fun doctor too. The environment is clean. Food was awful. Repetitive menu and lack of option. 1/5

    5 star only for Dr.Sellapan. Only reason to visit Loh Guan Lye is just because of Dr.Sellapan. Pharmarcy and Cashier have no number system and very slow service. Gleneagles hospital has the best number system where we can scan the qr code and chech which number is going on.This kind of number system can reduce the crowd in the waiting area. I hope loh guan lye can adopt the same system and improve the pharmacy and cashier dept. Open more counters to for the process of payment and medicine collection smooth and fast.

    Poor service and nursing station is just like a night market with loud radio on even at night. I never been to a hospital where the nurses donโ€™t have commonsense where the patients need to rest and recuperate instead of being disturbed by the nurses. Even I have requested the nurses to tone down the noise later they just ignored. I never know a hospital is meant to be like a market. I came in after fainted and with dizziness yet the environment made me even worse. Besides, I noticed there are available room and asked to change room, they just kept saying no room, all full. Liars!!! All the beds are empty in another 4 bedded room when I requested to change to a room where is further from the nurse station. Too noisy!!! I am entitled to single bedded room at the end I was put in a 4 bedded room which close to the nurse station. All rooms are full!!! Just to make convenience to the nurses, what type of hospitality is this?? Hello, as far as I remembered I usually got upgraded to another single room whenever itโ€™s full for the room I am entitled for in other hospitals. Really bad experience.

    Complicated to review loh guan lye. Overall is management problem. They want the less manpower cheap labour to deliver expensively charged service. The nurses quality are very different. Some good nurse then next shift u have the worse then night shift u have the best one. Doctors are good but then the system here very lousy. Some staff very helpful some just keep rolling white eyes. Special experience. Not the one going hospital everyday so no problem to me.

    Go for Premier Health Screening.. It said take around 4hrs to finish.. But at the end took me around 7 to 8hrs..waited 4hrs juat for Echo Cardoiogram and Treadmill stress test. I am on queue number 3 end up all patient behind me all done and left.. I am here at 745am and now 320pm still waiting...โ€‹What kind of arrangements, how can be ppl behind get done first. Wont come back here again and do not recommend

    Our Doctor & Nurses: (5/5 stars) The very good thing about this Hospital is our great Doctor we've just visited (Dr. Soon Hock Chye) and his super helpful nurses. ----------------- But as for our repeated experiences with the other hospital's staffs, well they're the very textbook definition of trolls (0 / 5 stars). No other places we've visited ever topped these kind of behavior and it's truly unacceptable for any hospital to carry these sort of attitude problems. But here are some of the worst offenders: Phone receptions: Huge attitude & listening problems. Took us repeated attempts every single time just to make a simple appointment, as we were cut off so many times (is a less than 5 seconds sentence too long for all of you)? Please learn to fully listen to others before replying, use proper English, do not cut people off as it'll lead to fatal misinformations and even longer conversations, use professional tone because all of you sounded like karens, and please do not rush to hand over the phone to another departments (listen fully beforehand). Lobby receptions: Attitude & listening problems as well. Always spoke & replied in kids' English with "lor mah lah leh" etc. Even gave us wrong directions before, but shrug it off as if we heard it mistakenly. Please just learn proper English skills too and be more courteous in communicating as all of you have a very rude attitude & body language.

    Dear LGL, I'm not giving a star but since Google need Atleast a star rating to give review and there it is. If u care ur staff so much (or maybe not), the authority should check the food in the cafeteria (both of them in old and new wing). Most ppl sharing (complaining) tht the food is oily and when work or reach home, they feel uncomfortable. No one dare to say it out cuz afraid there might be a snitch(rat) would spill the beans about someone good deeds. I hope that u guys take precaution, if ur staff is not feeling good(healthy) from the food. I think u knw how COVID would attack those who are weaker. The service is something, nothing to say. Keep up cuz i knw its busy since each ward have more patient than the nurses. I knw tht, i muself experience this as well. Ppl can ve selfish but who cares.... But all we ask if u could provide food tht is not oily... Or maybe not reusing the oil for life sake.....     Expats Please dont waste your time coming here. I arrived at 830am registered and it is now 1120 and I am still waiting on the Dr. ! This is not the nicest hospital and the lack of service is unacceptable. I have experienced better service and amenities at other hospitals in Penang. I only came here as they advertised 3D mammogram! I would wait until I visit the USA before I would ever set foot back into this place. Total Waste!!!!!!!

    I went to consult a doctor about a specific set of symptoms, and my entire experience was positive. The doctor was knowledgeable, of course, but she was also very helpful in explaining things to me. The entire staff, from registration to lab technicians to radiologists was kind, helpful, and efficient.

    I really donโ€™t like the nurses barging in my ward in the middle of the night or while I am changing clothes. The nurses sometimes open the door for no reason and close it back. And one time I remembered during my appointment with my doctor, he straight up insulted me without even realizing it and also looked so disappointed in me when I told him what was wrong me.

    Wasn't pleased with the doc and and also the senior nurses are not that friendly and bad attitude too. Was admitted in the afternoon and until 9 pm, no food was served so I have to press the button and the nurse informed the food was already served, if I want must order A'la Carte which is my own bill, I asked so my insurance doesn't cover meals, she said yes but time was over. No one asked if I need drinks or meals, can imagine the service. The nurse said was her fault and she wants to pay for my meal, I refused but when discharged I did not pay anything..poor nurse has to pay I guessed. The doctor in charged of me was like very busy and has no patience to explain my conditions, felt this hospital is more on $$$.

    Had a terrible experience when I was admitted for overnight observation. The nurse (in training) kept checking on my temperature while I was trying to sleep. She did this using an ear thermometer and it always woke me up. I told her to cut it out, to which she snapped back at me that it was necessary and she wasn't assigned an infrared thermometer. As I was about to be discharged the next day, I overheard the same nurse chatting with her colleague, lamenting on the high number of patients that were getting discharged. I could hear the disappointment in her raspy voice. Why so glum? No patients to practice your horrible bed side manners?

    What I learn during the past 10 months. Be patience! The only thing you need. All hospital same. Pls don't argue or yelling with nurses. They work under pressure all the time. They need to deal with thousands of ppl everyday. My advise, Please go early morning or make appointment to prevent long wait. " There always to have better choice If you willing to pay more " :) I am lucky, meet 2 doctors.They are really good and professional. Price is reasonable compare to the facilities, environment and service. Nothing to complaint about.

    If you are an Insurance coverage person, please avoid getting treatment from this hospital. You deserve better hospitality and service, however the doctor who treated me (cardiologist) is very good and save my life. AGAIN, IT'S Not suitable for people who having insurance coverage.

    Sorry.. I felt so dissappoinment with the only one oncologist doctor.. they was diagnosed my with mom stage multiple IV myeloma.. and the doctor just ask her to when to orthopedic doctor first without said anything else and charge 200 RM.. not worth it at all.. and then we go to other hospital.. the doctor said it was breast cancer stage IV not multiple myeloma from MRI he read from lam hwa ee..how can u a doctor could be like this???? More cheap than others but the quality and service cheap also..

    Doing ultrasound takes forever. When they say wait for awhile for ultrasound, feel free to go for a swim, take your lunch, have a sip of coffee, take a flight to Paris and come back. You will still have to wait for an hour.

    Do not recommend for their physiotheraphy department especially the oldest auntie on the floor name Siew. Speak rudely and keep walk in and out when u r under treatment with your pant off. Went for few treatments but end up wasted my money and no improvements at all for my slipped dics issue and said may take long time to recover. Try to earn money and easy work. The "most experienced" (oldest) physiotherapist doesn't mean she is expert or kindful. Also my husband went there for dr. soon under sport injury case, when we consult for dr advise it is all replied by "up to you", first say no nd physio, then change to up to u, then last say better to go physio... If we know we become the doctor, whats for we paid for consultation fee where all is up to ourselves. Professional doctor?? Welll, there are still something to compliment though, the malay staff who handling insurance claim is very helpful and efficient, medicine collection is quick too.

    The hospital that make ppl wait. You have to wait for 2hrs for rtk result which other place can get it done for 15mins. Make u wait 3hrs even with appointment. Charge your hefty sum when u present your medical card. Charge u unessary - equiptment usage!??? I've already being charge for xray.

    this is not a hospital, this is a 5 star hotel! I am lucky that I ended up in a wonderful center. To the gynecologist Dr.Low Kah Pin. He performed a laparoscopic cystectomy on me. He is a very professional doctor and I am lucky that I found him on google maps! ๐Ÿ˜ amazing 6th floor nurses! so much care, love, support, understanding! delicious food many times a day! This is my first operation in my life and I am happy that I ended up in the reliable hands of the center of specialists!

    Make an appointment but still need to wait for 1 hour+, then the specialist at the end just tells you "Do nothing", with pricey consultation fee, I agree with some of the review comment that this is merely a hotel but not a good place to help the patient & the family members, just a money sucking place for those suffering in disease & looking for cure. In addition, while waiting long time, since parking in quite pricey as well, they will suck more of your money from the car park fee charges, comparing with KL branded private Hospital, its price can fight with them!

    I would rate it ZERO if I am able too. Sedating my son TWICE leading him to hunger as he can't eat due to sedation. and best of all, putting a healthy kid in a room WITH 3 SICK KIDS who are coughing so badly which eventually infected my son. so BRAVO for this kind of service but charging exorbitant prices.

    On 5/12/2019, at about 8 pm there wasn't any hospital medical attendant at the emergency!!!! Ridiculous, i was sending my father as he was unconscious but have to wait for assistance. Just imagine that! I hope your management should look into this issue!!!

    Bring my wife to do follow up as usual. Dr and nurse all very attentive as usual. The worst department that didnโ€™t improve is the account department which always take very long time to processed the bill, even though is out patient. Please improved, we are experiencing this for almost 4 years.

    I like the A n E department. Efficient staff. Didn't wait long. Things were done efficiently n fluidly. MY BUTTERWORTH friend recommended him to me . Said he was good. V calm , patient n professional. However staff at the ward have an attitude problem. and they are slothful. Someone beside was coughing so badly n nobody checked on her. I had to ring for a nurse n when she came, she had a deadpan expression. I know it's the fasting month. When I asked her if nurses do their rounds, she said yes.which was a lie. I cd hear animated conversation outside n nobody came to attend to the old lady from the scale of 1 to 10, I wd give a 2.

    This hospital is well known for their great Doctors and nurses. However, as for the rest of all the other staffs... they had the legendary status for attitude problems, rudeness, and being drama kings/queens. But obviously the biggest problem area are their customer service staffs (especially the incredibly useless whatsapp cs). Who the heck employ these cs anyway, and did anyone ever record & replayed their rude phone conversations, or even read their very unhelpful & super lazy replies over whatsapp?

    I been using this hospital since 1995. The service is excellent. Price is affordable. I personally recommend Dr Kelvin Loh and Dr Nicholas Loh for obstetrician, Dr Noel Yeoh surgery and Dr Sellapan for Peads. Very dedicated management and staff.

    Visiting procedure can be simplified easily with a scanning app. Requiring visitors to pass the visiting cards to one another is impractical for relatives from different geographical areas & varying visiting days.     LGL lab test center need to be improved, how come didnt call number 6002 to go in after number 6001 was done?? seems other patient(s) been asked to go inside lab test center 1st? the cashier made a mistake for undercharging for the medicine cost, and kept calling the patient to make undercharging payment soon. Why not cashier bear the cost since this is her (Cashier) mistakes instead of asking patient to make payment for the sake of cashier mistakes.

    I am a "fan" of HLWE- ever since I know that the founder built this hospital for the sake of general community out of generosity and compassion. I stick with HLWE even though my insurance can cover me enough in other hospitals. However, I am quite disappointed with the 2 female doctors whom I have recently gone for my 2 medical procedures. Nevertheless my stay in the hospital was a pleasant one. The nurses and hospital staff are well trained and gentle. They attended to our needs with kindness and patience. I wish HLWE every success in moving towards Excellency.

    Last year 30 November 2019,I visited General Surgeon MR.OsmanYahya,needed consultation more about hydrocele or prostate cancer or inguinalhernia.At last I am very satisfied with the logic diagnosis is Bilateral hydrocele and suggested to have invasive called aspiration,I believe and very sure that I get the right doctor with the right answer and really help me to drain the fluid out that I suffered more than 5years.thanks a lot to doctor MR .Osman Yahya and Lam Wah Ea hospital

    I've read a number of reviews here and I'm left wondering if some of these people went to the same hospital I visited. 2 1/2 months ago I had total knee replacement surgery performed by Dr. Goh Eng Tet. I am a citizen of the USA and I can honestly say the care I received at Loh Guan Lye was the best I have ever received. Dr. Goh exudes confidence and capability. I felt fortunate to have found him and have him perform the surgery. I was so impressed by the cleanliness and efficiency of the hospital. The same morning I had my initial consultation with Dr. Goh I was immediately scheduled for all the pre-surgery tests. X-rays, ECG, blood test and ultrasound were all performed in approximately 2 hours and results were ready for review the same day. This is unheard of in the USA. This process alone takes weeks or months to complete. I met with Dr. Goh the following day as I needed an additional test as a result of the previous day tests. When that was completed we reviewed all the tests results and I was cleared for surgery. He said he could perform the surgery on Friday, 5 days after the initial consultation. In the US this process would take 6 months to finally be scheduled for surgery. Du to my own situation, I needed to delay until the following Monday. Everything about my experience with Loh Guan Lye exceeded my expectations. Of the many things that impressed me with the hospital and the skill of Dr. Goh were the staff at the hospital. Every person I encountered was friendly, helpful and professional. From Dr Goh and his assistant, the receptionists, the lab technicians, the nurses who cared for me after surgery, my physical therapist and even those who served my meals and cleaned my hospital room, they all seemed to share one common characteristic. They all seemed to genuinely care about ME and my health. Even the young men that meet you at the entrance with a wheelchair and assist you getting to your appointments shared this same concern. They came to recognize me and were always there with a smile and a wheelchair to help me. I will never forget the day I exited the car while they brought me a wheelchair and told them I didn't need one anymore, I could walk. They all gave me big smiles and a thumbs up at my recovery. It was really a special moment for me. Thanks to my physical therapist and the skills of Dr. Goh my recovery has been very fast. I was able to walk without the need for a walker in just 5 days. My physical therapist didn't like that and urged me to continue to using the walker for an additional week or two. Now, 2 1/2 months later i am walking and climbing stairs at ease. I'm still strengthen the muscles in my legs that had not been used much in the prior 3 years, but I am well on my way to full and complete recovery. I simply cannot express in words my thanks to everyone who attended to me. Customer Service even assisted in getting my Visa extended so I could complete my recovery. At some point in the future I will surgery on my other need. I have already decided, no matter where in the world I may be when that time comes, I will be returning to Loh Guan Lye and Dr, Goh to have that surgery. I wouldn't even considered having it performed somewhere else. To all of you at Loh Quan Lye, I send you a heartfelt THANK YOU!!! You gave me the rest of my life back! Gene

    My recent experience as an outpatient was amazing. Mr Wong Thai ER plastic surgeon operated/removed a 3mm basal cell carcinoma on my nose. I can't praise him enough and would highly recommend him for any facial surgery. The scar is almost invisible after only 4 weeks.
