Had another great time with a couple of friends most of them first time. Took moongate entrance going up via trail (not stairs) all the way to station P84 and up to the summit of Penang Hill. Avocado shake is always refreshing and fresh mixed fruits with a default discount if you're a hiker. Going down took the same route going down to the starting point. Total hours 7.5hrs back and fourth with ~1k meters elevation gain and ~17km distance.

I read a review saying that there is a dog that will accompany hikers going back to the start point. Today I saw him. He really exists. He will follow you 2-3 steps from behind, not disturb you and sometimes he will lead in front. If he lead in front, he will turn back and checking, looks like to make sure you are following πŸ˜ƒ At first I thought he want some food. I gave him bread (only food I have) he refuse to accept. Maybe he sense that I am first time hiking and he just want to accompany.

Nice place to hike up to. Beautiful scenery awaits. Multiple ways to come up here. Can ask a few people along the way too. Straightforward hike up. This trail will lead to another station called station 39.

Five stars. Nothing less. The hike is easy, and the view during mid point is pretty good. You can also continue on to get to Penang Hill. What is there not to like? There are also facilities (e.g. exercise machines) such as toilets and drinks (non-alcoholic obviously).

One of the hikers’ favourite rest stations that supplies FREE biscuits and hot drinks on most weekends. Mini gym and small workout corner.

This rest area is beautifully painted and built. Took me about an hour to reach from Moongate entry 1. There's plenty of seats to rest on, there's even some gym and exercise equipments for use free of charge! There's also a clean toilet facility. Fellow hikers should appreciate this place and not vandalized it.

A nice easy hike up to station 5 via route 6. Movement control order is still in place but we are allowed to hike individually. Hiking in groups is not allowed for now. There were fewer people at station 5 today.

Nice hike up to station 5 via the Moongate trail. Not too hot today. Try to hike up a bit early, about 2.45pm - 3.00pm so as to avoid the crowds on the weekends.

Third day of CNY and this place is quiet and empty. Had a good run up here to the rainbow stairs. So pretty. Take a slow walk up. Just be careful of the monkeys. Keep your phones safe ‼️

We’d already seen Penang Hill but my husband enjoys a good, long, sweaty walk up endless stairs so up we went. We had no clue how many stairs this would be (it’s a lot) but they were even and easy to do. Our only issue was that our weather app said a 10% chance of rain hours before we’d arrived but otherwise cloudy skies. Right after we passed this station as we decided to keep walking, a HUGE torrential downpour came and stranded us on some rocks for maybe 30-40 minutes. I wear glasses and couldn’t see anything for awhile, and when it stopped I was worried about slipping in the mud that had slid down. Luckily we were fine (locals seemed very eh about the whole thing) but hoo boy! Don’t get caught in a storm!

πŸ‘πŸ‘ Penangites are well aware of the BJ Hiking Trial. It is my daily trial. Top Hills, Bkt Rimba, and Bkt Kukus were the top peaks. There are many trails to explore the hill along, such as a 500m trail that circles the entire BJ hill. You can watch a lot of videos on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and ot...
