Rooms are HUGE and clean as is the bathroom. The lift is really ridiculously small for such a big hotel. There are food places everywhere around the hotel and so many places to see right there. I loved my two night stay there. Would be nice if there was a kettle in the room though. The wifi works well and there is aircon and a fan.

Be warned there is a local mosque that starts blasting prayers over the loudspeakers at 5am. I didn't get one good night's sleep in a whole week of staying here. The room itself is bare-bones but very livable. Great location in the centre of George Town, with lots of restaurants and nightlife nearby. Wifi is patchy but I was able to productively work here all week.

It's unexpectedly nice and comfy hotel! Although it looks old, but the room is clean and the service are good! The location is very strategic and there's a lot of food along the street. Highly recommended!

Dirtiest hotel I’ve ever stayed in my 10 months of travelling… The room was moldy and wet. We had to change rooms 3 times due to the room being dirty when we checked in. The next room we found a rat nest under the best. The room after that had a cockroach problem. DO NOT STAY AT THIS DUMP

Cheap hotel and OK If you need a place to sleep for one - two nights. The room is small and not very clean, everything here is old (which is fine, but it’s dusty - they should take better care of it), slow wi-fi and no safe. Also the hotel is located on very busy street, so you can hear the music from the bar until late at night.

My favourite hotel when I'm visiting Penang. It's just near all the places we need to see Penang. Just right outside of the hotel , in the evening is your stop for food... Those who loves wantan Mee, pls try ... Delicious... With fresh fruit drinks... Crispy fried spring rolls... Yummy... And also a great place for night time also... With bars with live band ....🥳

Came here just to sleep so I can say it's worth it. Clean room (Extra pillow available in the closet/soap under the drawer), clean bathroom, function water heater, no need to wait for the aircond to turn cold after switched on and there's a ceiling fan too. Just the towel I got, there's this green-ish mucus? Lmao. Overall, the auntie at receptionist was friendly. She asked for our feedback and apologized immediately after I told her bout the towel. Will come here again.

The best thing with this hotel only because the location is near tourism area. Come to check in around 2pm. There’s women inside but not friendly at all. It’s not hard to say “hi” back and just said “wait yaa”. and also no smile at all. But when night come, they have very nice uncle The room is cigarette smell. I know it’s friendly price but not expect this coming 🙏🏻

Room was super spacious and cleanliness not that up to the par. I was almost slipped in the toilet twice. Requested the cleaner to wash but doesn't make any diff. Location wise very strategic and it takes less than 10mins wherever you want go (famous places to visit or eat).

The bedsheet was not change at all.Recycle!I feel not comfortable when i lay down on the bed & the blanket also smelly.it smells like the blanket have been used and not change after people used it!Luckily we just stayed only 2 nights & we rarely in room.Tv not functioning!Please be honest to customers & please change the bedsheet,blanket and all.Do not recycle!We pay for your service not free.!

Very bad customer service..i check at agoda got 1 last room then call the hotel just to make sure its betul2 kosong and available.. then the man shouting at me "u pegi sana check online la!!!" Then end the call what the... then i call again then ask you end my call I just wanna confirm the room "i sangat busy la u sendiri pergi check la haiya" very rude! If you really busy then just tell me that u are busy its ok i will call later.. The reason why i call to confirm because previously i purchase thru agoda but upon check in there's NO AVAILABLE ROOM!!! PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE!!!! ZERO STAR

Very nice budget hotel. Clean rooms, fantastic location, friendly staff. No water boiler in rooms but there is hot and cold filtered water on the ground floor. Great value!

Stumbled upon this hotel at 3am in the morning when I couldn’t get a Grab back to my accommodation. Paid 100RM. Checkout 12 midday. Affordable and clean budget hotel with friendly customer service.

Location is on Chulia street, near love lane where the evening market is. If you want no-frills room where all the basics are functional and clean, this is it for the price. The agoda rooms might be more prone to mosque call to prayer announcements in early morning. There is extra 12RM taxes not included in the agoda price because of the hotel star rating. Hmmmmmmmmmmm...... I gave them the benefit of the doubt, as the hotel is still a decent value for the money.

The location is very strategic along Chulia street. Rockafellas bar and Gravy baby is along the hotel. A walk less than 500m you'll reach the Chulia street food. Variety of local food with good taste and price. Nasi kandar Line Clear is on the next building along this hotel. Hotel is a 3 star hotel standard, decent room and features are old school. A big reception area. Hotel parking is limited, provided on first come first serve basis. You can also opt to park on the street with proper parking boxes. The room price was reasonable for the features and stay. Easy check-in & out. You may need to pay City tax RM2/night during check-in. If you plan to explore by walking around, this is a good place to stay. If you're picky and OCD, DON'T BOOK!!!

Room is comfortable and clean. But, it would be better to have hot water station.

Room is okay, standard and equal to the price, but the customer service, especially the old lady is not very nice when talking. She is the reason why we give 3 star for service.

The hotel is pretty old but the rooms are pretty clean and has good cool air conditioning and stable Wi-Fi. The pillows are rather flat and bathroom/toilet is basic but it serves its purpose but the sheets and towels were clean. The location is amazing as it is close to the clubs and every other part of the town is in walking distance. Food is not a problem at all and the 7E is just a short stroll away. Was attended by a very lovely old lady at the reception who even allowed me to check in early. Extra star points on hospitality and being courteous.

Erm if u don mind , for backpacker is ok . For family not ok.

The check-in staff was friendly and helpful at the evening. The lady staff working in the morning even give us direction on how to get around and give us a name card just in case we got lost.

Because I have to remove the parking sign by myself in order to park our car...it was quit heavy, actually there was 3 man as a worker there but none of them offer to help, just sitting around and observing...at first they gave a used room afterward upon request they change the room but provide only 1 towel..only when we request the extra towel were given..

The room I selected on site was 1 queen size bed, when check in it's 2 single beds, and bath towel only 1 piece, the bed was comfortable, only lack of maintenance upon amenities, there's more to improve.

Overall Good...

Bad reception service. booked a room via agoda. but when time to check-in. room not available. and the reception said room can't be book via agoda. but when i request for refund from agoda. agoda inform that, the hotel already send proof we hv check-in. Really bad service. stimulate other party. its obvious your hotel in agoda app.

In the middle of the city center but No Wi-Fi.

It is an old style hotel.The location of this hotel is stratergic. Lack of accomodation like other hotel. There are no iron in the hotel. The owner is friendly and the price is reasonable too.

Very strategic location for Nasi Kandar lovers. It's a walking distance to Hameediyah, Tajudin Hussin, Line Clear & Kassim Mustafa

Staffs all very nice including the foreigner over there and the room is cosy and with great price. Good for cost saving and is near to the Georgetown street, easier to enjoy Penang cuisine also

clean, tidy, good staff, car park provided, strategic place to stay, there's a rent bike outside - opposite to hotel..really worth for money owing to budget hotel...

Rooms are clean and staff friendly. 4 storey building with lift. Location is excellent and walking distance to most of the heritage site such as clan Jetty, Little India and Armenian sites. The hawker stalls are just outside the hotel and serve good food. In the morning, you walk three blocks to the morning market where there are plenty of stalls selling good food

An old but quite comfortable hotel. The staffs are nice, the room furnished with standard furnitures. The price is good. We can find lots of little shops and restaurants nearby (within walking distance). Also we can go to the beach, some museums, that only cost about 6-8 RM.
