Very thankful for the stay over at this guesthouse, great and friendly staff/owner. EXCELLENT!! 1. The owner/staff are really great. They were very welcoming and introduced us to many places of attraction and places to get good food. 2. The location is really great. It is near a bus stop which is very convenient for us to travel around the city. It is also near places where you can get nice food. e.g the famous penang laksa is just 2 streets away from the guesthouse. The staff really exceed my expectations. On the 2nd night, I wanted to get some fruits and I went to find the staff to ask for directions. However, the fruit stall was far from the guest house. Out of kindness, the staff volunteered to ride his bike and send me over to the fruit stall. As he drove me over to the fruit stall, he also introduce me to some places of attraction that I should visit and told me stories about them. It was really beyond my expectation and I was very thankful to them. EXCELLENT!!!

Very good overall Cheap price, the owner is very friendly. The location is strategic, as you can reach nearby bus stop in less than 1-minute-walk. The rooms with 3 beds are quite big and the rooms with 2 beds aren't that small either. There are lots of toilets and all of them are clean too. You can even take hot shower if you want to. You can use the so-called 'public kitchen' to make simple meal or to save your food in fridge. The WiFi is quick and stable, all AC are functioning properly. Pillow and blanket are good too. The guesthouse still has old Chinese architecture feeling to it.

This is a really great, basic, place to stay in Penang. The rooms don't have tvs or attached bathrooms, but the AC is powerful and the shared bathrooms are plentiful and clean. There's a kitchen and fridge. The staff is attentive and friendly and knows a lot about Penang. It's very convenient, close to the end of Jalan Chulia off Jalan Penang. I've stayed here more than 10 times, never disappointed. Clean, friendly and cheap.

The location is nearby the Chinatown + Little India. The FO guy will tell you some good place to visit & eat. The price is quite cheap for a private room and the room is clean. Recommended if you travel alone or friends.

We were disappointed by this hostel… the room was okay and the location is convenient but the entire place lacks Charme and the shared bathrooms were simply disgusting! The owner is nice and helpful but sits around all day and smokes instead of cleaning the place. We were supposed to stay three nights but left after two because it did not feel nice to come back to this place.

Great place to stay in Georgetown - I love it. It is situated just off Penang Road. This means that it is very accessible by public transport to most places. In addition, there are many good food places around, making this a very convenient place to be staying at while visiting Georgetown. For example there is the chow Rasta market which is a very lively place to visit in the mornings. Then there are a number of good coffee shops around in the day and finally there's also Line Clear Nasir kandar and a couple of night markets nearby in the evening. Despite its accessibility, the place is quiet and safe. Although most rooms have shared bathrooms, this isn't a problem at all because there are more than sufficient number of bathrooms and toilets to use so that you never have to queue. Rooms and facilities are clean and comfortable.the Aircon in my room was definitely powerful. The staff is friendly and helpful esp the owner Jackie. The are able to give helpful tips about the town and where to eat and buses to take. It's a chill place to be. They are so nice that you can leave luggage after check out for the day, and if you ask nicely, they allow you to take a shower before you leave for your night bus.

I went to 5 places in Malaysia. This place was the best. Jackie is very kind and gives me a lot of good information. He took me to a good restaurant, told me local information, and also taught me Malaysian food. The location is also the best and it is the best to enjoy Penang. I can make a lot of friends too. Anyway, it's the best. I extended my stay many times. I really recommend it!

Very clean budget location. Plenty of common bathrooms and toilets. The owner is very friendly and helpful. I totally recommend it if you look for a cheap and clean location to sleep after visiting the town during the day. There are no common spaces, so it is not an option if you plan to hang out all day long at your hotel. + very nice not touristic place for breakfast just over the road.

Friendly and helpful owner, sat us down and talked us through the map when we arrived. Basic kitchen facilities available, clean and plenty of toilets/ showers. The only downside is the front rooms are very noisy with all the street noise being heard through the wooden shutters during the day and all night - a recommendation for any light sleepers to take ear plugs for sure!

Hotel with unbelievably friendly staff and clean facilities. We arrived at 6am after a night Bus ride and could already move into our room with no extra charge. We were very well introduced into Georgetown and nice local restaurants and places to visit. We loved the small Toast with Egg Breakfast around the corner! The showers and toilets are shared but have been in great and perfectly clean condition during our whole stay (5 days). The room is simple with two single beds and no window. Like everywhere in Georgetown it is poorly soundproofed. Ear plugs during sleeping help a lot.

Awesome stay! Very good location right next to the free CAT city bus. Lots of good places to eat nearby. Great staff- very laid-back, helpful, sweet guys working there. They'll give you a map with all the street art locations and suggest a few other places- go to those places- I loved it. My room (single) was simple, clean and just fine- nothing fancy at all- but for the price, that is absolutely ok! It had A/C- yes! Bathrooms/showers were always clean and available- I never had to wait. A bunch of us were given a ride to the pier which was SO nice- I appreciated that-thank you! The pillow was uncomfortable- just a foam square.

Good location. Everything is in walkable 5-10 min distance but you are far away for a nice sleep during the night. Friendly and helpful staff who gave us good and detailed tips. The walls are quite thin and a mosque is nearby so earplugs are highly recommended. It is not a party hostel.
