Bedbugs on the beds.... Customers are not assigned a bed, and are free to sleep in any free bed. All beds are dirty, so who knows how many people have previously slept in it without wash. Even the staff cannot know since they don't assign beds. Avoid. Bedbugs.

BEDBUGS!!! Anything negative, I could say about the place, pales in comparison to how absolutely infested the dorm room was. I was the only person staying there, and right as I was going to sleep, I noticed these enormous bedbugs crawling all over the curtain - right next to where I was drying my towel. Turns out, all my pieces of clothing that were touching the bed got incredibly infested as well, and to make things worse, my backpack on the ground was not spared either. I complained, but got offered to simply switch beds, as if that could help it and after about a half an hour, I got put into a 4 bed (all female) dorm, where, once again, I was the only one in. The next day, I paid 50rgt for a thorough cleaning and washing all of my belongings, which the staff refused to refund at first. I was told that if I was a local, they would have just laughed me out of the building and were only entertaining the conversation since I am a foreigner. After about two hours in total, of demanding a solution (a refund), both in the morning and evening when I had a receipt from the laundry place, I managed to get 40rgt refunded, but payed for the stay itself in full. I did everything I was told by the staff, but they still were trying to make it out as if it was my fault, and that I should be grateful to receive the 40rgt. Also, according to them, it's on me, for choosing affordable accommodation, and bedbugs should be expected. There were other smaller issues, like dust everywhere, unclean lavatories and a young man, who I suppose was in charge of cleaning the rooms, just casually laying on one of the infested beds in the room I was supposed to stay in. Can't recommend. PS: I threatened to ask my friends and other travellers to also write bad reviews if I didn't receive a refund. Only then did I get the 40rgt, in exchange for not doing so, but I have to at least post my own experience.

PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING!! I FOUND BEDBUGS ON MY BED - I have informed the however the mattress has been never checked or cleaned during my stay. The guy at the reception is very rede: Each time you walk across the hall saying “hi” he just look at you ignoring (it happened 3 times whit no one in the room!) The location is great, a few minutes from the pier, and a few minutes waking from the bus station. In a few meters you re in the town centre. There are no lockers. It could be cleaner. Wi-Fi doesn’t work in dorms.

The reception bangla guy was amazing. Very helpful and kind hearted. The room? It's more like an hostel or backpackers place. Room had no TV. WiFi never get to connect. Beds are as hard as rock. Pillows are good to none.. Strategic place. Cheap stay. But experience verdict - not gona stay again.. But a big thank you to the bangla guy at the counter. Mohd juwel

Fine for what it is. We stayed in a private room which was quite basic. Noisy at night as it is on a busy street but the location is good. WiFi available in the communal area but no drinking water. Staff not super helpful.

I am staying in this hotel, people in upper stairs are running and jumping like animals all time (even after midnight) but none could interfere to make us feel confortable. Bad experience in this place in Georgetown 😑

Cheap but you will soon understand why... unless you don't mind cockroaches and bugs in your room, mice grinding in the walls and a leaking AC over your head while laid in bed !!! Of course, no-one cares at the reception. For 2 to 3 euros more you can have so much better a corner away.

A good budget hotel for travellers. Free Has wifi facility, hot and cold shower, Air conditioned rooms as well as Dormitories. The hotel is situated in the Little India area near the Heritage walk of George Town, Penang island. Many Indian, Chinese and Malaysian restaurants are available nearby the hotel where foods are available at a very cheap price. Overall a good budget hotel for backpackers with great location.

The place is far from what I expected. HORRID ROOM AND HOUSEKEEPING - where to start? Stains on the bathroom tiles, bidet and shower hose. Mould is clearly on it! The TV is ridiculously placed high up at the ceiling which strained my neck. No complimentary water bottled and soap. No room service at all. The bathroom is really small for a guy like me. The villa is located near a busy street full with Indian immigrants so I can hear them shouting and cursing early in the morning. The staffs are not really friendly and unable to understand simple English. BEWARE - PLEASE ASK THE PAYMENT RECEIPT ONCE YOU HAVE MADE THE TRANSACTION. ONE OF THE STAFF WILL DELIBERATELY CLAIM YOU HAVEN'T SETTLED THE REMAINING OUTSTANDING FEE. You must stay firm on your ground!!! There is a female quarters available. Not sure about unisex quarters though. The wifi is available only at the lobby and it is a weak connection. The good side, the villa is located in the heart of Georgetown. All scenic and heritage sites are accessible with walking distance. Do not try to drive along the narrow road, it is packed with cars and pedestrians. Walk or rent a bicycle.

It's in a truly awesome location. Close to absolutely everything like Chew Jetty, Upside Down Museum, 1st Avenue mall, phenomenal indian food in little India etc. For the price you pay, it's fine for a few nights. Staff were friendly. Hostel dorm is super basic. I shoved tissue paper dipped in vaseline into my ears to drown out some snore-goblins at bedtime.

The hotel is great for people who want to stay near the great place to visit. Great reception, staff there is very friendly. The only downside is their place is kinda hidden from the main road but overall 9/10.

This place has excellent standard to price ratio!! The rooms are well maintain and include private bathrooms for only 70MYR and the location is right in the centre of the Georgetown. Service is also good both in reception and cleaning, highly recommend for couples and I guess even for families with children.
