Chinese Malaysian & Haka food (Non Halal): 🔷 Indian Curry Prawn & Vegetables 🔷 Steamed Grouper with Tuapan (big flat rice noodle) in Soya sauce 🔷 Meicaikourou on Rice (Braised Roast Pork with Preserved Mustard) 🔷 Teow Chiew Sour Soup w/ Grouper 🔷 Scallop & Pork Porridge w/ Pork Floss and Youtiaw 🔷 Seafood Fried Rice with Bilis and Salted Egg 🔷 Tofu with Thai Sauce 🔷 Onion Omelette ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great food, delish gravies, scrumptious too. All dishes are some fusion Chinese Malaysian and tradition Haka. It’s a family business restaurant, owner’s children are the Chef. Large menu, ask for recommendations. Posters of those signature dishes are on the wall. Curry has strong spices so good and plenty of mix vegetables and big prawn. All fresh seafood and meats. Love the yummy porridge n toppings. Invigorating sour soup is so delicious, don’t waste a thing in the bowl. Tofu is homemade, salad is good mix and refreshing taste. Happy with all recommended food as signature dishes. Very friendly owner, Chef and staffs. Simple decor and cozy. Quick serving and very efficient. Highly recommended!

One of the best Chinese restaurants we have been to. Tom Yam was the best ever and you are able to choose which condiments to include in your soup. The curry chicken on rice was also very tasty. Staff are very helpful and friendly too. A delightful lunch overall.

First time visit this restaurant, notice a lot of customer order curry noodle but today I already have something in mind so yet to try curry noodle. We order steam hor fun with fish and 3 taste fish rice. I like their hor fun, the taste is just nice, not too salty, not too oily, however I suspect the fish is steam separately or it put on top of hor fun, so it's just tasteless (but it's fresh). The rice I feel so so only. One thing need to highlight is the staff service are awesome, keep it up the good job. Food : 3.5 stars Environment : 3 stars Value for money : 3.5 stars Worth to try : 4 stars

Came here for lunch and we ordered the grouper fish fillet hor fun, homemade tofu and lemongrass chicken steamed rice. The dishes were tasty and were priced at pretty average prices. They were also very generous with the tofu condiments such as the spring onions and dried shrimp. I also absolutely love the butterfly pea barley drink that tasted like a blue hued barley fuchok. Service was great and the servers were very friendly and attentive.

The foods are delicious. We ordered steamed fish hor fan & Ebiko fried rice. The steamed fish is fresh, & hor fan has absorbed the sweetness of the fish, thumbs up for this dish. The ebiko fried rice is surprisingly big portion and lots of seafoods, it has big prawns, squids beaides ebiko. The coffee is rich taste, slightly too sweet but acceptable to me. The environment is cosy and air-conditioned. The price is reasonable. Closed on Thursday though.

Very delicious food with good price and amazingly big portion. Three of us spent about RM100 for 4 dishes and three drinks. The sauce for the steamed fish was a bit on the sweet side but I find this a common situation in most of the restaurants I have been to in Malaysia. The restaurant is spacious and clean and the service was fine. We did not have to wait for very long to get served and for our food even though it was Valentine's Day.

Really good chinese restaurant in Lebuh Campbell. Reasonable price, big portions, and a satisfied tummy. It seems fish hor fun is the house specialty so make sure to order that. All food came out quick and piping hot. Using Grab is convenient because parking is troublesome.

Tried the Crispy Roasted Pork with chilli padi and home made spicy soy sauce, very good and just enough for those who love spicy food, atmosphere is quite nice, prices are quite okay for this kind of establishment, staffs are friendly as well. Definitely if wish to dine with larger group I do recommend booking ahead of time by a few days or a week

Overall food was delicious. Do come earlier if plan to have a meal there as the place fills up pretty fast after 6pm+. We ordered the Teochew sour spicy noodle, steamed rice with crispy pork and crispy noodles. Food arrived pretty fast. The noodle soup was refreshing with the right amount of spiciness and sourness. Really good to open up your appetite. You do have a selection of noodles/ meats & fish to choose from. Service was good, attentive and efficient. Will surely come back again to try their other dishes.

It was my first try in this Chinese cuisine shop. Had ordered their dragon tiger grouper fish curry and their steamed pickled vege with minced meat. So tasty and the food is very fresh. Service is so fast eventhough is full house. Lots of tables and seats. Fully aircon and internal design with Chinese wooded crafted deco. Good experience. The price is very average. Must try.

Amazing spot for lunch and dinner. Food is delicious and well portioned for small family. More importantly, the boss and wait staff are so friendly it reflects much about our hospitality, the Penangites. Strongly recommended!

Situated near Komtar area and good place for family dinners. Price is reasonably good for its portion. The fish noodles were fresh and had a depth in flavor. The tofu dish is good, too. Go early to find ample parking along the streets. The lady boss is accommodating, and service is efficient.

Found this place via Google Maps and visited on a weekend afternoon. There were several tables occupied but I was able to get a table. I like that the staff leave empty tables between occupied tables, so it feels like there's a lot more space. I got the dried scallop and minced pork porridge with coriander meatballs (RM 15.80). The porridge had a decent consistency and the meatballs were flavourful. I could not see any dried scallop or minced pork in the porridge though. The stir fried spinach with garlic (RM 16) was a pretty large portion. I also enjoyed the steamed dragon tiger grouper fish fillet (RM 45 for small) which had a tasty gravy. The fish was also fresh.

It won't be hard for you to judge the popularity of this place. It is full most of the time. Most of the dishes tasted good. Even the plain bean curd is actually very nice. You may need to go a few times to sample their large selections of menu. Be it lunch or dinner. You're sure to find something that suits your taste.

Visited this restaurant for lunch on a Wednesday 13 Sep 2023. The waiters were very welcoming and helpful, there were many people walk-in from 12 to 1 o'clock during lunch time. We ordered six dishes, all are delicious! Fried rice is a must-try, the rice grains are distinct and the taste is great! If you like spicy food, you can try their Sambal. Will visit again soon.

Our first visit after her shift from down the road. Expanded to two shop lots now with upgraded design & decoration. Also more waitresses to serve you! From the long menu list, we chose the Deep Fried Tilapia Fish Fillet w Crispy Noodle and Dried Scallop & Minced Pork Porridge w "Zha Leong" & Chicken Floss. Roselle Beet Root and Barley w Pumpkin for drinks. The taste is maintained as before, simply delicious!!! The porridge is very fine/smooth contrast by the crispy zha leong & the sweet floss will make you yearn for more. As for the noodle dish, the fish is well fried & noodles very crispy. The egg makes the gravy very smooth. The prices is on the high side as there is a 10% service charge. I suggest you drive straight to the car park at Kampong Malabar then walk through the back lane to L Kitchen. 17 Oct 2023 (3 weeks later) Tried 1. Dried scallop & minced pork porridge with century egg, 2. Mixed mushroom fried rice, 3. Deep fried tilapia fish, fish milk soup, thick Bihun, 4. Thai style salad sauce with homemade bean curd. The porridge had little ingredients but was very fine & soft. My aged brother loved it. The fried rice was oily. Not for me! The milk soup Bihun was very delicious. The bean curd was very soft, blended well with the pickled salad. We loved it.

An extremely busy restaurant on my recent visit as the weekend crowd piles in for dinner and the rainy weather doesn't really stop the crowd. Parking is always scarce as there are a famous muslim restaurant nearby. Food is always great as my family and myself frequents. There arr definitely a lot of tourists too.

Warm rice is the best. Every mouth full of happiness. The saltiness of minced pork blend well with the sourness of pickle, with the spiciness of chili padi ! Thought is a little pricey for a normal meal, good to have retreat once a while

Interesting range of dishes with combination of seafood, noodles and added ingredients. Also variety of rice and rice porridge dishes. Only downside (same issue with many other restaurants, Sept 2022) is that they currently shut quite early, 8.30pm, because of staff shortage.

Price is on the mid to high range. Rice and noodle dishes are around RM13-ish. The food was tasty. While the plate sizes look big, but the food portion is not really large. Place is clean and air conditioned, comfortable. Staff were friendly.

The restaurant was very busy upon arrival but we had no problem finding a table. We were recommended to try their signature noodle bowl the “teow chew styled spicy and sour soup”. Which was in fact quite excellent. The menu offered a various amounts of other dishes from steamed rice platters to crunchy noodle Lo meins. All very tasty and was brought to us almost immediately. Great place for a quick and tasty meal.

Tasty food at reasonable prices. Haven't been for a while, not sure why not really. Family members really like the congee not fond myself so had curry noodles with fried fish. Service pretty quick. As with all places around Campbell St. parking can be difficult at times.

Despite of how busy it is, the food came pretty quick. Got a good recommendation from the staff (even thou he was busy he still make time to help). Big bowl of food, if you come alone like me 1 traditional bowl is way more than enough! 👍🏼

You can get very delicious food at low price here. Not to mention friendly waiters greeting you the moment you entered the restaurant and explaining to you all the way regarding the availability of the food in the menu. The food is fresh and well cooked, not oily even though I ordered curry dishes and punctual in timing. It is just that the payment option is in cash even though they showed that they have e-wallet and card facilities. Overall, will come again and again.
