😠 I travelled from KL just to taste the unhygienic and weirdest soup ever! It taste like overspice with old spices n herbs. I can confidently taste 'hapak' and seems like try to cover with alot cili padi but the 'hapak' taste still there 😭 i order sup ekor and sup ayam. The soup seems generic for all... People often mention soup, Penang, beef, nice, roti, taste, restaurant, nasi, Nasi, Hameed,

Order beef sup, the portion is enough for one person. They put a good amount of beef. The soup is thick and just nice, you can add some seasoning to suits with your preference. The beef is quite tender and easy to chew. After all the food was okay but the ambience of the restaurant was not really great, it was hot and smelly. Hope they can improve with the cleanliness.

This eatery is one of my compulsory visits to dine whenever I get a chance to go to Penang. Despite setting at a quite busy road next to Soho, people still find ways to go to this restaurant. I normally park my car at one of paid parking lots - a bit opposite of this place, so you need to walk a bit (just a few meters). The staff? They understand the flow of the customers and always find ways to get the seat for you. The food? It's definitely the soup that I go back to. If you are fan of chicken soup, do give a try. It's thick and to take it with thick bread, that alone can make you full. You can also try other dishes too. So what are you waiting for?

I recently had the pleasure of eating at Kedai Nasi Kandar Sup Hameed in Jalan Penang, and I must say, it was a culinary experience to remember. From the moment I stepped into this charming shop, the delightful aromas wafting from the kitchen set the stage for a mouthwatering adventure. One of the standout dishes that caught my attention was their goat soup tongue and bone. The rich, tender meat combined with the robust flavors of the soup created a harmonious blend that left my taste buds dancing with joy. Pairing it with freshly baked bread added an extra layer of satisfaction. The nasi lemak offered at this shop was another highlight. The fragrant rice, complemented by a medley of spices and accompanied by an array of side dishes, was a symphony of flavors on the palate. Each bite was a journey through the vibrant culinary heritage of Malaysia. When it came to Nasi Kandar, Sup Hameed did not disappoint. Their mixed curry, brimming with aromatic spices and expertly cooked meat, was a delightful companion to the perfectly cooked lady finger. The combination was nothing short of heavenly, and I found myself savoring every bite. Beyond the delectable dishes, the service at Kedai Nasi Kandar Sup Hameed was warm and welcoming. The staff members were attentive, ensuring that every need was met and providing recommendations with genuine enthusiasm. If you're looking for an authentic and flavorsome meal in Jalan Penang, Kedai Nasi Kandar Sup Hameed is a must-visit shop. Whether you indulge in their goat soup tongue and bone, savor their delightful nasi lemak, or enjoy the flavorsome Nasi Kandar, your taste buds will thank you for the experience.

Soup Kambing is still the best in Penang, eat together with 2 slices of bread. However still need some improvement especially on the drinks.

Sup hameed is a Muslim indian eatery that has been around for some time. Nestled between the town area of Penang, one could visit them after partying at the nearby clubs or pubs or just visit for a late night snack. Ordered the roti canai, nasi kandar and chicken soup. The roti canai was pretty standard fare. What I liked was the nasi kandar. Although there were not as much options, as compared to the other popular nasi kandar places, you could tell this eatery was very down to earth by the way they cooked their dishes. Very homely and not over priced. Soups are aplenty and always kept warm with a fire going. I'd recommend it to anyone staying nearby to come give it a shot.

Recently I visited Sup Hameed located at Jalan Phee Choon, Georgetown besides Penang Contingent Police HQ. I ordered the mutton soup. The soup served with two slices of "roti benggali". The mutton soup is very tasty and rich with various Indian spices. The soup has a lot of meats and mutton are soft which is really nice to eat. There were also Nasi Dalca, Roti canai, Roti Bakar, fried noodles, fried rice stalls. Overall, highly recommended and the best late-night supper spots in Georgetown

One of the best places to go for your late night hangouts, people generally flock here for the soup, you can have it with rice but i prefer with bread after a long streak of nasi kandar during the day, they have a variety of soup, daging kambing tulang lidah torpedo you name it, they also serve other dishes in case you build up an appetite after having the soup, drink are so so, during rainy season u dine inside, else people usually crowd the tables outside for fresh air, the soup itself is rich in flavour, one bowl usually isn’t enough especially if you’re there with friends chatting

The best sop ekor (ox tail soup) to be had in this place. Service is top notch despite being busy. Staff very attentive. We had mee goreng mamak and roti canai with telur. It’s the best. Highly recommended.

It was raining quite heavily and my stomach start to growl 😅. Look up on Google Maps for Sup and this restaurant came up and it's just in walking distance. Yes, we just walk in the rain for this suggestion. Luckily we're not drench at all🤭. Arrived, look for a place to sit, sit down and the waiter came for our order. The service is stupidly quick. Ordered Hot Nescafe O and Hot Teh O and within minutes it arrived and ordered Sup Kambing with Breads and Mee Goreng. And again it arrived within minutes but sadly the Mee Goreng is a bit cold but Sup Kambing is nice and warm. The Mee Goreng is just so so, no wow factor and the portion is quite small (I do think this is a tactic to maximize profit 😅) and the Sup Kambing is just nice with tender mutton with just a little fat attached to the meat and I've noticed that it's not oily. The sup gravy is lighty spice but have to agree with the missus it needed a bit more salt to bring out the savouriness of the gravy. Overall still a nice meal with very reasonable price (RM16.50 for our meals). It's cheap when compared to other mamaks who serves mutton. Must try?? Dare not to say that, but if you're looking for something quick, quite tasty and cheap, this maybe the place. ✌️

Very good Roti Canai from Sup Hameed. We arrived at 11 AM on a Monday and asked for roti and they said no problem. Spicy curry was delicious. This place looks a bit rough on the outside the the roti was inexpensive and delicious. Would return next time in Penang.

We went there for supper. Order Plain Soup ,mutton soup and chicken soup. The soups tasted really authentic and flavourful. The bread that served with the soup was fresh. But the Maggie goreng was very nice. Mamak mee goreng was average. Service was good, even though it was crowded, but they served the food so fast. 👍

I really don’t like the environment. It’s not so hygiene. I sit at the outside of the restaurant. The food is good but the environment not so satisfying. If you’re looking for a very clean and nice restaurant, I didn’t recommend this restaurant for you. I do understand why the area are not so clean. But pls do something for the future of this restaurant.

We ordered beef and lamb soup with the benggali toast. The beef soup taste better than lamb soup. The soup spices and thickness was so so only.

Best sup I've ever tasted in Penang. This could even be better than my fav place in KL. Not so thick broth yet packed with just nice spiciness and loaded with flavor. And the teh tarik was awesome too

It can get chaotic during long holidays and festive seasons. Does not taste quite the same as it used to be and they better improve on their order taking system.

My recent visit to "Sup Hameed" left me with mixed feelings. While the restaurant had an intriguing menu and friendly staff, I couldn't help but notice some cleanliness issues. The dining area seemed a bit untidy, which detracted from the overall dining experience. I believe that addressing the cleanliness and hygiene aspects of the restaurant could greatly improve the overall impression. With some attention to detail, "Sup Hameed" has the potential to become a more pleasant dining destination.

One of the best soup mamak in town! If you love soup doraisamy in kl this is way better. Parking a little bit problem but infront of their stall have private parking. Price is based on what you get. Portion is just nice. Service is also fast. Do try their beef tongue soup!

I'm very sorry for my honesty in reviewing this food. The food only is "average". Sup kambing - not thick & flavorful Rojak/Pasembur - not good at all Roti Canai/telur - average Car park is opposite but belongs to a hotel. 1 hour = RM4.

Tried nasi kandar here and it was tasty. They are famous for Sup but didn't have chance to try. But nasi kandar was nice and reasonable price. Will definitely recommend 👌

Always love sup hameed. This is our compulsory stop while in penang. My toddler can finish 1 bowl of soup with rice. The soup is flavourful with multiple spices. However, we we received a bowl of beef that was still hard. We can't even use fork to take the beef out from the bowl. Ask one of the waiter about it but he did nothing. (I assume he didn't understand). I wasn't sure to complain again or not. I chose to complain again to another waiter. And he took my bowl and changed with a new softer beef. Luckily he gave us a new bowl. So here I am giving a good review to this shop.

Wanted to try it as we saw so many people eating there last night. We tried the lamb soup and roti canti (one with egg, one without). The soup is basically curry soup. We thought the plain roti was better. Worth a try!

Our usual sup Hameed spot is the one next to IPK but choice of food is limited over there. We came here to try out other dishes that weren't available at the IPK branch. Wanted the tandoori chicken but had finished when we came. So, I ordered nasi kandar instead. The last time I had nasi kandar here was back in 2016, it was a while ago so I hardly remember how it fared. Kuah campoq (mixed gravy) didn't jibe with my taste bud, too sour and sweet for me. Would've liked it more if it was savoury-taste. Ayam bawang was decent. Saving grace was the daging kicap which I enjoy. Beef soup with Benggali bread is delicious as usual. Roti canai was decent as well. Parking is hard to come by here unless you park at the private parking lot across the road. We parked some distance at Sri Bahari Road.

Well, i just need a soup that night. I could get a thicker and more umph Sup kambing/ayam in Kl. Everything was so so. Would come again for the soup only. Sup Abu In KL is better. Or even Qbistro in TTDI KL.

Delicious place with tripe and urat soup. Price of these are abit pricey but worth it for me. Only lack sambal kicap for my extra kick.

Super tasty mutton soup, cheap but not big portion. One of the best things to try in Georgetown!

We shared a table outside with a local. It seems like mostly locals come. Outdoor seats were full and no one was sitting inside. I got the mixed beef soup and a plate of curry and rice, and accidentally also a plate of mee goreng. I loved the beef soup. Heartwarming even in this humid hot weather. The mee goreng was cold so that is not recommended. The curry with coconut rice is delicious and flavorful.

Great food, affordable price. The soup was full of spices, the meat was tender. They provide indoor and oudoor seats, so feel free to choose your spot to enjoy their dishes. Parking is a little difficult as this restaurant is by the roadside. Might need to park a little further or at any empty spaces by the roadside (illegal). Otherwise, the dining experience was exquisite! Highly recommended!

Very nice sup kambing, was considering to take out their roti canai but the cleanliness is kinda questionable so just soup is enough to try

Mutton soup is tasted way below my expectation. The meats were tough to eat too. Mapley PJ is way better. I guess people are going there just to hangout at late hours. Nothing much to recommend here

Good Service despite the crowd and small space fr dine in. The soup, the amount of toppings & meat, not really meet the value fr what we pay for. Overall, its onenof the best mamak soup in Penang.

It used to be the best soup in town. But the quality dropped. I don't know why because last time I visited here was in 2010. Overall rate is 3 stars: Roti canai and curry are cold - 1 star Mutton soup is tender and tasty - 4 star Fried mee is ok but soury - 3 star Chicken soup is average - 3 star The glass is cracked..hazardous - 1 star Nasi lemak bungkus is cold and not tasty like common Penang Nasi Lemak. - 1 star

Great place for a stop over for the Sup Kambing. Those who stayed in Malay areas will somehow introduced to this spicy soup and rather meaty dish. Some uses small mutton ribs. The Soup has all the required spices to give out the distinctive aromatics and taste. I appreciate less use of fillers and the soup is clearer and has less suspension

This is among my favorite places while in Penang. Mutton soup and benggali bread are always my choice. Nasi kandar is also superb.
