👍👍 Had porridge at this cafe. I'm spoilt with choices where there are varieties of stuff that can add to my bowl of porridge. I went for slices of grouper fish, big prawn and minced pork. The porridge was so tasty and yummy. Had some side orders too. A fulfilling dinner to end the day 😋 People often mention soup, fish, good, fried, delicious, restaurant, grouper, noodle, seafood, fresh,

You can choose 2 soup base tomyam/ clear soup, then type of noodle and mains. The seafood are fresh, broth is very delicious, really comfort food. Fried Mantis shrimp fresh and crispy and juicy.

Food: 5/5 Food Taste great, 2 different broth, tried both they’re good! I recommend trying the signature clear soup. Got soup extra seafood options too! Service: 5/5 Quick and fast despite the restaurant is busy! Location: 4/5 Located across Jetty Food Court. Parking is a little difficult, if you’re driving, be prepared to park a little further and walk. Penang is all about walking and eating anyway! Inside the restaurant is little noisy to my liking, kinda need to shout across the table to talk.

All time favorite place for fish head been hoon. If u r lucky, u can get to have the humongous grouper fish freshly caught from sea. Staff and even bosses are very friendly and helpful and their food are well served. It’s quite crowded almost everyday especially during lunch hour. Parking could be found right next to the temple. Suitable for big and small group of ppl. Price are reasonable and worth the money u paid for.

Came here with high expectations for good fish noodle soup on a friend’s recommendation and was dissapointed as the soup did not packed much flavour. Given the fact that each bowl is cooked individually, I thought the taste would be great but it turned out to be so so. Portion is considered small given the price. Service was great by the waitstaff with smiling faces. However parking is very limited and you will need to park further away and walk to Ka Bee. Would I come here again? Not really as there are better fish noodle soup elsewhere with better parking.

Sea food paradise is what I can say about this place !! The food is served fresh - we had crabs which were caught fresh and cooked in front of us. The Tom Yum Soup is good enough for 2-3 people with 200-300 gram !! It costed us two people about 76 RM. I'll revisit this place next time!

Ka Bee offers a variety of delicious seafood noodle dishes with options of clear soup or tomyum. In addition to the main dishes, the restaurant also serves a range of delicious snacks such as fried fish and mantis prawn. Ho Kar Sai was thick and smooth. Absolutely delicious.

Located on the main road after chew jetty. Eatery is air conditioned. Menu is easy to understand, choose the type of noodle, soup, the main ingredient and add on side (optional). Fast service even when its crowded. The soup is rich and the ingredients fresh. Highly recommend. Can pay by credit card. Simply worth it. Preferably come before or after the lunch crowd to secure a seat.

Small restaurant located in the middle of the Georgetown city, serving soup Bee Hoon with different ingredients and soup variants. The deep fried small fish is recommended but other than that, the noodles are OK. Parking is definitely a challenge unless you don't mind paying a hefty fee at the nearby area.

They have 3 types of grouper: 1. Fresh/ fried grouper 2. Fresh/ fried giant grouper 3. Fresh/ fried Leopard coral grouper The last grouper being the most tender and the most expensive out of the 3. The 2&3 grouper has to be eaten with the skin as it’s very silky and tender. Prices start at 16RM and can go up to 25RM. As recommended by the owner. The most popular fish and noodle paring is the thin and thick vermicelli (bee Hoon) and you can pick it depending on your preference. But the popular options may sell out in the day. They also have claypots version of the noodles. Also additional fried seafood options. Water is charged per glass. The place is quite clean and is air conditioned. They don’t provide napkins though and there is no washroom on site. They also don’t charge taxes (5%) and they accept cash only.

Taste: fried fish is a must try to pair with the noodles. Both tomyam soup and clear soup tasted good. Mentis prawn was good as well. Ambiance: air conditioned and clean Service: very fast. Price: reasonable. RM8.50 for noodles with tomyam soup and fried fish.

Great taste 😋 two styles (normal soup or claypot soup) with two choices of soup flavours (clear broth or tom yam), choices of rice or noodles, and a wide selection of pork or fish or prawns or crab; and side dishes which include a local delicacy, the Lor Bak. Reasonably priced, traditional dining atmosphere.

restaurant has a neat setting where food orders are done on your mobile phone through a QR code. expect a certain wait time of at least 10mins especially during lunch hour. we arrived at the cafe for lunch at about 12.15pm on a weekday. there was ample seating. i had the tom yum soup base with thick noodle, fresh fish and minced pork balls. the bowl size was rather intimidating. i did not like my choice of noodles. it was more like ramen, that did not suit the spicy tom yum soup. the fish and minced pork balls were tasty and good though. while the soup was spicy and tasty, it did not have the signature sour-ness likened to tom yum. overall, the tom yum soup was more like a curry soup. finding a parking lot may be challenging. was a good try worth the calories.

Had the best seafood experience in Penang. Host Mei Hwa was super friendly. If you ever want a seafood meal to remember, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Place was packed when we arrived at about 8pm. The porridge you choose what ingredients you want and it tastes good. The tomyum is on the sweet side, if you dont like spicy, this is a good choice. There is parking area opposite the shop.

Absolutely delicious fish based noddles. I had the signature soup, but also tried my wife's Tom Yam soup. I think the Tom yum is definitely the way to go, especially paired with the various side fried dishes - the fried fish meat, fish skin, and dish eggs were definitely fantastic eaten with the Tom yum. The family running it also are super friendly. Really didn't expect this place to be so good - and it's frequented mostly by locals despite being in a "touristy" area - it was recommended by our relative who lived in Penang for 40+ years.

First time visit because of it's high ratings. Sorry to say, another overated ones. Nothing special about the noodle or even the soup broth, maybe we had tried a good ones before at KL, so this might not be a good one for us. Worth visiting? Probably not. Can park your car at the private parking lots available opposite the restaurant, else it is very challenging to get one especially it's located around Chew Jetty.

Rice noodles with a rich seafood broth, the ingredients used is more than noodles, big big portions. Fresh seafoods directly out of the sea. Air-conditioned and clean restaurant next to Chew Jetty.

I've tried out this restaurant many times and I love the tomyum soup with yee mee. Plus the fried "sek ban" is really fresh and delicious. Price is reasonable and the soup is sour not spicy. I prefer this stall compared the other one that nearby because the fish type and spiciness that I can tolerate. No regret after so many times visit, the food is still maintain quality. Always come back whenever I visit penang.

Fresh fish with thick broth. But I think when I compared the long queue I stand compared with the food I got is slightly not up to the expectation. I think they put too much soy sauce into the soup… makes the taste too salty.

Ordered both standard versions of clear and tom yam soup. The fish tasted quite fresh. Overall quite acceptable with the tom yam not over powering or too spicy.

😠 I reached at around 2:30pm and still need to queue till 3:00 pm. Disappointed with the food because the deep fried fish roe and fish are hard rather than crispy. The gravy is also so so only.

👍 Queue seemed quite long when we arrived around 2.30 pm but we only waited about 20 minutes. I think they should have more signage to tell customers what to do so the process can be easier. There was only one waiter upstairs in the seating area so it was quite difficult to get his attention. Food is...
