    What service provided by Hospital Lam Wah Ee can be come so famous. Wanted to visit patience who stay in the hospital , need to wait outside the hospital without any proper place area for customers. Felt insulted as street beggar siting on the street.

    Not sure what is the point they launched the online appointments system. I registered online 2 days before the consultation date for doctor at room 15. When I reached the hospital 30 mins earlier than my scheduled time , I still need to register at the counter , wait for them to retrieve my file and waited for more than 1 hour to get my turn to see doctor. Those who came in later than me can see the doctor first. Argued with the malay nurse, she yell at me and said first come first serve . If that is the case, what is the point to have this online appointment system. Mind as well I walk in and register which could be faster for me to see the doctor They should abolish this online appointment system for good as it does not serve any purpose and it caused confusion to patients!

    Clean place with calming environment. There are good doctors such as Dr. Tan Eng Guan and Dr. Shankar but there are also some terrible doctors. The waiting time is unbearable while meeting time with her is too short. LWEH service has gone from good to bad especially this year. Some of their staffs need to go for course on how to be polite and attentive to patients. Parking is spacious but need to pay minimum RM1. Pharmacy is another place with mediocre speed of handling and mediocre attitude.

    We came to Lam wah ee hospital for maternal delivery. Consultation with OnG consultant Dr Quah has been great. He is a knowledgeable and funny person. The delivery was uneventful. After delivery baby was referred to Dr Tan Eng Guan the paediatrician. He is also a nice doctor, full of patience and soft spoken. We had a little dispute over a small matter involving cryocord. Basically the procedure and payment weren't informed to us prior causing some misunderstanding with the billing department. Other than that it was all good. Parking is ample, and the good thing is we get to enjoy rm1 flat rate with parking validation during our outpatient and inpatient stay.

    General Surgeon, Dr E**c Y**g N**i Y*n. Very bad attitude doctor. He wants me to decide whether to allow my elderly mother to do operation in a very short period of time. He said : " You took so long to discuss with your family members, you must be afraid of high medical cost. Then go to general hospital, don't come here. " This is the first time I met a private hospital doctor chased me to go to general hospital . And he thought that we are concern about the money. He is very good at making assumptions. Hahaha. He charged me RM120 consultation fee for talking to him in total with less than 15 minutes. Unreasonable consultation fee. I have seen many doctors at Lam Wah Ee, but they only charged me RM60 of consultation fee. Maybe I went inside his clinic 2 times. So, he charged me 2 times of consultation fee. It's ok. I paid for it. But his reputation has been dropped. At the end, we did not go back to him . Not recommended to consult this type of bad attitude doctor.

    The service is good. But could improve more in speed. We don't pay high to just wait around and waste our precious time. The doctor should be little accurate with his explanation. The nurses could improve their manners and attitude. Overall not that worth for the price paid in cash.

    Lam Wah Ee Hospital is a non profit organisation. This private hospital was build by a group of loving heart local people past century ago. They build this hospital with an objective is let the local poor people could get a better and affordable medical service nearby their home. Logically, Overseas patients should not visit this private hospital was donated by local people money and without overseas patient donations especially for the Indonesian. We never seen Indonesian who worked and doing business here as well as Indonesian rich tourism never listed out in the donation list. It means that overseas patient visit this private hospital already occupied local people medical benefits. Unless those overseas company will donate the new technology medical equipment and capital. ๐Ÿ˜ŠWe will not going to review about the service because we want to let the overseas patient the real history and hope the overseas people could give a hand to this hospital. We also worried that too much overseas patients in this hospital will damage this hospital fist objectives. ๐Ÿ˜”

    A non profit hospital indeed but I paid a lot. I was under insurance when gt admitted and after the covid test and about to enter the ward the staff inform I need to pay rm3k for extra as the insurance doesnt want to cover it. How do u feel when u r sick, fasting, waiting for endo and colonoscope then they are telling u this. I paid it finally and I have no choice. Then after into the ward I was brought to ct scan and chest xray without notify me. They just do what they want and the dr didnt let me know all these. After the scan I was on wheelchair and no one there to brought me up. The staff are so rude no compassion and didnt even greet me for help. I was there for 20 mins after all the painful ct scan. I didnt know what to do and I walked myself to my ward. Again then mg endo was about 1pm and I was there since 7.30 am morning. After the endoscope I went to meet the dr to talk about my insurance coverage as I didnt know earlier about it. The dr herself was so rude. After all the claim and treatment she started to speak so rude and her nurses are even more terrible. The face reaction and body language as we are there for foc. Wth..!! The dr didnt even see my face and told me 'what u want me to do. What help u want? I submitted ur report and just wait for ur insurance to contact u.' And she just keep doing her work. I was just standing there shamelessly. I dont know what to do n I said tq dr before leave and she didnt response back too. I know they won't care this review because they are not like me. They are rich and arrogant. Learn to respect other human being and ur patient.

    That's no point to book on line ahead. The appointment is 11am-1pm. I came early at 10am for registration and start waiting. Until 1pm still not my turn yet. The time management really need to improve to reduce the crowd. Since you have online booking, please fully utilize and control number of patient instead of let the patient wait outside for whole day/half day.

    Admitted because I had fractured my leg. Consult Dr Tan Cheng Aun and operated on next day. Warded for 5 days. Excellent services from doctors, nurses and attendants. The hospital made sure to get the GL from insurance company before admitted patient to ward. The process was smooth. Gym staff also very professional and friendly. For follow up with doctor, the waiting time was very long. Had to wait 1.5 hours to 2.5 hours.

    Hospital LAM WAH EE is a non profit and charitable organization established in 1883. The hospital always crowded with patients and bare in mind that even you have appointment, you still have to wait for more than an hour. Walk in always a lot, the operations staff are overwhelming with the hectic and busy days. You can't blame them with the lack of service in some areas. Overall, they have very good doctors.

    Hospital Lam Wah Ee shouldn't call charitable hospital and helpful in the first place. Completely non negotiable at all. Dr Lam Hoong Yong is the only bypass surgeon in this hospital and talked rude to family members. Worst is when asked about the patient condition why no improvement, he will blame it on the patient. We pay you to do your job!!! U think patient medication are all free??? What kind of doctor is this?? Extremely not professional at all. Secondly, Dr Eric. Talk rude too. Not qualified to be a Doctor at all. Playing people's life like a mice in a lab

    I had HSG test here and everything was smooth. The service is excellent, and the staff is professional and soft-spoken. The result can be collected after 1 hour. Thank you so much ๐Ÿ˜ (Note : Those who want to have female doctor to examine/test, can come on Tuesday)

    BAD EXPERIENCE very disappointed with the out patient calling system. what is the point to make appointment since you still need to wait with other patients. no number showing. if number shown u will know how many patients are in front of you. you can go toilet, have a drink, have a meal and come back later. already 2022, but seem like in 70s or 80s. never improve.

    MRI department time arrangement lousy, ask my dad to come at 4.30pm and then said doctor at OT, need to come again for review, btw just called dotor loke, doctor loke said he all the while schedule afternoon session OT, since this is planned, why the MRI dept still give such planing? they force all the people to come due to wanna earn 2 time registration fees? what a terrible hospital. do you think that your patient family all no need to work can come everyday?

    Unfriendly chinese receptionist at 1st floor outpatient counter and gave wrong info. Doctor are never punctual. Might late 1 to 2 hours. Canteen food quality is based on the chef mood (sometimes the chicken is not cooked properly) and very expensive. Totally not worth the price. Clean hospital with lots of parking space is the only upside. You can do better please. Haha. ๐Ÿคฃ

    Hosopital is good , but Please don't and never look for Orthopaedic & Spine Surgeon Chong Kheng Ling. Very not professional doctor with bad temper. He will not explain clearly and scold patients without any reason. We waited for the x-ray for so long not our fault , but he keep chasing us because he want to go for lunch. Never explain anything just give medicine and ask us come back again. He scold my mom when my mom don't get his explaination. He is not a professional doctor.

    First time met worst doctor here,Dr Low eng joo. Doesn't even want to hear anything you said. Getting angry over some question like we didn't pay anything over consultation. Just write a prescription and doesn't want us to bother him anymore.

    The customer service beside entrance really not helpful. Don't posses at least basic medical knowledges, ask her something, she answer nothing lol. Need to improve, at least training about basic medical knowledges. Dr. KHAW KAR TENG nurses really bad, after consulted with the doctor, the two nurses not open the door for us, I pushed wheelchair with my sister on it, really hard to open the big door cause the door is auto close, big and heavy, I even use my leg, and the two nurse just beside not doing anything to help, 2 times! BTW, I am from Indonesian. The nurses just gave bad name for the hospital.

    Lam Wah Ee general hospital is a non profit hospital that had received subsidy form Malaysia government. This is health facilities from government for Malaysia citizens but foreigners also very welcome. Me as foreigner very grateful for this service of hospital, the cleanliness, procedure, treatment and very helpful bill to paid makes this hospital so popular in Malaysia and abroad. So much patients visit every day makes we have to manage time and schedule perfectly if don't want to got number after the others. My suggestion after got queue number don't left registration process if you don't want to replace your waiting for anybody else.

    Worst customer service. Worst experience ever in this hospital. WORST. 1st case, Let my elderly parents wait for 3 looong hours. My dad was in pain for fractured leg. Yet they make him wait and long last get to meet the doctor for a whole 5 minute and only advice was to send us home without fixing his leg even thou x-ray already shown cracked bones. didn't even bother to cement or bandage. Said come back later need to screw. Waited for 2-3 days never followed up. We end up going to another hospital. Oh ya, never even bother to help u push wheel chair. 2nd case, my 2 year old son was in fever and we had to wait for 2 hours and yet to see the doctor so we balik go clinic better.

    Rude and lazy A&E reception staffs. One sleeping on the table since the time we went in 2315pm. Another one super rude and act smart. 2337 waited almost 0000am to do admission infact the counter was empty when we get our queue. She took her own sweet time to do settlement and arranging her table. Here the nightmare has begunโ€ฆ.ask us to pay RM6000 for 2 bed room. I have to explained to her multiple times to accept half payment 1st, my card transaction is fail due to the wee hours. After multiple rejection from her, Finally managed to do online transaction of half payment. Up to room at around 0045am. Good job for triage nurse, super fast and efficient.

    I was admitted last week 10/11/2020. Removed my gallbladder. Treated by two doctors. There were Dr Low and Dr Chin. They are good, nice & experience doctors. At first, many people said the services from Lam Wah Ee hospital is bad but for my 8 days 7 nights stayed was great without any complains. Even most of the nurses are students, but they were good & helpful. Some of them really less experience but they were patient enough. In terms of the foods, itโ€™s ok but sometimes the lunch or dinner just a bit salty. The charges for me seemed OK just the accounts department staffs not so friendly. But, overall everything still fine. Keep going!

    I think LWE's online system is a serious joke. We registered online two weeks ago for an 11.30am appointment to see the Hepatologist (room 111). When we reached and got the registration done (11am), reached to the room, the nurse said "why didn't you come at 7am or earlier to register? We are based on first come first serve basis, so you have 20 patients ahead you, and the doctor will be leaving at 3.30pm daily". If we were told earlier it's base on first come first serve basis, probably we would come on earlier day. If this is the case, why should the online appointment system exists at the first place? Not easy for us to take leave from work and leave the kids behind to come for the visit. Reconsider if you were to visit LWE!!

    I find it cheaper here than other hospital I've ever been in Penang. All staff were so helpful and friendly. Met Dr. Yip for the first time and impressed by the long queue. Excellent service. The cafeteria sell many options of healthy food, drinks and snacks. Clean toilet. Free public wifi. Spacious parking space.

    Overall a pleasant experience. My deepest gratitude for the outstanding care and support by Dr.Yegappan (O&G) provided during the delivery of my baby. The expertise, compassion, and dedication truly made a significant difference in the entire birthing experience. The team in labor room did an outstanding job of "priming" before the arrival of Doctor. The coordinated effort and seamless teamwork did not go unnoticed, and I am thankful for the collective commitment to ensuring a safe and positive delivery. The maternity package is also very reasonable. This hospital and doctor is exemplary which should be emulated by other private hospital that should focus on human first. Probably one area that can use improvement is at the billing, where coordination can be enhanced.

    My number is 4291. And the running number is 4295. I went to ask the staff how come the running number like not follow one. He told me WHO COME FIRST THEN WE SERVE FIRST? I have been waiting here and I never walk out from my seat. I saw the patient who came late than me but they serve her first and her number is 4295. Funny Service!!!     Unprofessional, simply amateur! My sister had a skin problem before and she was hospitalized for 4 days before a blood test showed nothing. After that, my mom took my sister to O2 to directly test her skin problem! Later, my mother couldnโ€™t see clearly and went to check whether there was an eye mask. Your doctor said that you can cut the eye mask. My mother was worried and went to the government hospital for a checkup. There was no eye mask. My mother went to a professional eye examination and there was no eye mask๏ผ๏ผ๏ผ Nanhua are unprofessional! !

    Really disappointed with some service of this hospital, very poor service I just do RTK antigens cov-19 test but to get the result I need to wait for 5 hours and some I need to call and asking if itโ€™s ready or not.after I come to 7floor on 15:10 nobody at the desk counter, and after I keep asking only one foreigner cleaner come out and bring me to the office I saw one lady busy talk via phone inside the room not even come and entertain me ask about my doubt waiting in front almost 45 minutes. ..Stupid service

    What I learn during the past 10 months. Be patience! The only thing you need. All hospital same. Pls don't argue or yelling with nurses. They work under pressure all the time. They need to deal with thousands of ppl everyday. My advise, Please go early morning or make appointment to prevent long wait. " There always to have better choice If you willing to pay more " :) I am lucky, meet 2 doctors.They are really good and professional. Price is reasonable compare to the facilities, environment and service. Nothing to complaint about.

    Had a terrible experience when I was admitted for overnight observation. The nurse (in training) kept checking on my temperature while I was trying to sleep. She did this using an ear thermometer and it always woke me up. I told her to cut it out, to which she snapped back at me that it was necessary and she wasn't assigned an infrared thermometer. As I was about to be discharged the next day, I overheard the same nurse chatting with her colleague, lamenting on the high number of patients that were getting discharged. I could hear the disappointment in her raspy voice. Why so glum? No patients to practice your horrible bed side manners?

    First of all the services from registration to visiting the dr is super slow. I think your management really have to improve on your services. One thing why is the imaging department close at 12 and open at 2 ya? You guy have no standby staff ke? You make patient wait for like 2 hours tau. The covid test took almost 2 hours to wait for the result. I have never encounter this kind of procedure an yet you let the patient wait and wait. You really have to improve your staff language some of them cant even speak simple bahasa and when they explain to us we cant really understand. Every department would at least let you wait for 2-3 hours is such a waste of time and plus you make patient wait for you. I am very disappointed with services.

    Very very poor service. Waiting for more than 6 hours for a doctor consultation. GH is a better option. I won't recommend this hospital if you think "private hospital gives the best service". Lam Wah Ee Hospital unfortunately does not meet the requirement.

    BAD MANAGEMENT ๐Ÿ˜  Today evening @ 4+ pm. The management carried by the receptionist @ ground floor really sucks & sangat CARELESS. Im so dissapointed๐Ÿ˜ค The flow proceses from registration and to the billing process regarding insurans really bad. It should be the Hospital management need to handle (all the sending claim sheet & referal letters SHOULD BE MADE BY THE HOSPITAL IT SELF) Right now dah makan masa about 2 hours waiting for nothing from the counter to the pharmacy ulang alik, back and forth. Wasting my time. ๐Ÿ˜ก We gave the Document (the referal letter) to that Receptionist to handle the registration, receptionist itu sendiri hilangkan referal letter. What is this behaviour?? Then i pulak kene print out the referal letter itself onward. Now nak kena tunggu lama kat pharmacy. You all complicated kan this process. Dont expect patients/people to understand the flow the system when you all tak explain how the flow semua. Go check your the receptionist @ ground floor. They are really careless.

    This is a broken hospital without good management system. The online booking system is totally useless. Once you are there, you register with the clerk, you will get a piece of paper with handwritten notes writing doctor's name and room number. Beware, you are not given a clear numbering system to show your sequence, just sit back and wait, trust me it's ridiculous. If you have lots of time, you can attempt to pay a visit to them, try it out, why not. You will experience the service similar to Malaysia Rapid bus.

    Sorry.. I felt so dissappoinment with the only one oncologist doctor.. they was diagnosed my with mom stage multiple IV myeloma.. and the doctor just ask her to when to orthopedic doctor first without said anything else and charge 200 RM.. not worth it at all.. and then we go to other hospital.. the doctor said it was breast cancer stage IV not multiple myeloma from MRI he read from lam hwa ee..how can u a doctor could be like this???? More cheap than others but the quality and service cheap also..

    If you are an Insurance coverage person, please avoid getting treatment from this hospital. You deserve better hospitality and service, however the doctor who treated me (cardiologist) is very good and save my life. AGAIN, IT'S Not suitable for people who having insurance coverage.

    I would like to share a wonderful experience felt by my mother earlier today. She had a foot injury and drove herself to the hospital. Seeing she was alone, limping her way to the registration counter, a staff by the name of Mohd Nasri, attended to her immediately upon seeing her. He brought a wheelchair along and pushed my mom from the start to the end. From going to the clinic, x-ray room, payment and medicine collection. Not only that, he even pushed her all the way to her car and made sure that she is ready to drive off. Only then he made his way back to his work. We would like to thank Encik Nasri for his impressive and tentative service. Terima kasih Encik!

    such a bad hospital. the nurses here are not really responsible. i can see many patients pressing the button calling for the nurse but the response is so slow. what if the patient is in a very urgent condition?

    I was under Dr Yegaโ€™s follow up during my pregnancy and delivered in November. Dr Yegappan is a great, kind and wonderful surgeon. Had a smooth delivery and itโ€™s all because of him.     Absolute joke of a hospital, they accepted my parents payment for a hospital room stay in. But both of my parents had to wait for 4 hours+ because all the rooms are currently occupied. Why do sick patients have to pay to wait for hours for rooms that are not free yet? Why not inform the patients that there are currently no room available to not waste the patients money and time. Very scummy and greedy. Definitely would not recommend despite having good doctors.

    Very bad experience in this hospital. Rude attitude, both front counter and the nurses that help to arrange for appointment. No exact time given for the appointment, long queue with nonsense excuse despite of appointment had been made upfront. Immediately decided to take back MRI and also all the reports and change to another hospital with no hesitation. Strongly recommended if u got whole day to waste or else pls consider other hospital

    Doctors may be great, but some of the staffs (medical and non-medical) really got plenty of rooms for improvement. Medical service line, but so inefficient, unorganised and some unfriendly too. Oh well, my own downside as I am poor to afford better hospital for my father!

    Slow service for issuing GL to insurance company, patient need to waiting long time before can admit. 3.32 pm send form 6.25 pm hospital issue to insurance company then until what time patient need to wait? After 6 pm has no doctor already to verify form

    One of the senior staff was a nightmare. I witnessed her yelling at her staff and not going to lie, I felt as if I was the one that got yelled at. It was unprofessional on her part for not being able to control her emotions in a professional setting and it definitely made me feel uncomfortable to have had witnessed that. I have never seen a more unprofessional setting. Very disappointed with the hospital.

    So I took my mom to the accident and emergency dept at 9pm for a concussion. And we have been waiting till 12.30 am and itโ€™s still going on to wait for a doctor to attend to her. Are there only just 1-2 docs in this department? I understand critical patients will be given priority but this is also not any general department. Itโ€™s an accident and emergency dept. Nobody sitting here should wait for very long than they should otherwise it wouldnโ€™t be an emergency. Funny response towards emergency patients. 3 hours and counting. Seems like this hospital doesnโ€™t really care about patientโ€™s welfare equally. Definitely not worth recommending.

    I'm Indonesian and this is my very first time medical check up in here and everything goes smooth. The Doctor gives a lot of information about our body, and how to prevent sick. Nurses very fast in everything, not let me wait too long ๐Ÿค— they also make sure we already take a breakfast or not, and let us eat peacefully (no rush when eating or drinking something).

    I am a "fan" of HLWE- ever since I know that the founder built this hospital for the sake of general community out of generosity and compassion. I stick with HLWE even though my insurance can cover me enough in other hospitals. However, I am quite disappointed with the 2 female doctors whom I have recently gone for my 2 medical procedures. Nevertheless my stay in the hospital was a pleasant one. The nurses and hospital staff are well trained and gentle. They attended to our needs with kindness and patience. I wish HLWE every success in moving towards Excellency.

    Last year 30 November 2019,I visited General Surgeon MR.OsmanYahya,needed consultation more about hydrocele or prostate cancer or inguinalhernia.At last I am very satisfied with the logic diagnosis is Bilateral hydrocele and suggested to have invasive called aspiration,I believe and very sure that I get the right doctor with the right answer and really help me to drain the fluid out that I suffered more than 5years.thanks a lot to doctor MR .Osman Yahya and Lam Wah Ea hospital

    Accident & Emergency unit very slow. Doctors came late, all patients wating for almost 1 hour for their turn to be callled-up. At 10.30am. supposedly the doctor must arrived early or hospital must standby Medical Officer. I wonder how this hospital have ISO??? A&E Entrance no proper in and out, all mixed around no social distance practice

    Went there to look for gastroenterologist for my mother's illness, but the counter referred me to another kind of physician without giving any heads up (found out after discharged from hospital) . Admitted to hospital for 4 days, discharged and there's no major improvement in her condition. Not to mention that before we get to br admitted to hospital, it took us half a day for the covid & xray test result, then only found out that we actually were able to go back home to wait for the result. EFFICIENCY AT ITS FINEST!

    A hospital that is not worthy of receiving any star at all!!! Super slow services!!! What a sloth!!! Disorganized management! Lots of wasting time with problematic communication with each other! Rude and very unethical doctors! Insulting the patient's family as well as threatening the patient's family with medical results that make less sense compared to the patient's physical condition! What a horrible experience! Coming here is like giving up your life to die faster! You will go through the worst experiences as well as endless regrets!     Although not perfect, LWEH is still a very good hospital, very clean and well set up ( a vast improvement from the past decade)Doctors and nurses are patient and professional. I have been treated at a hospital in a third world country, therefore being treated at Lam Wah Ee Hospital is a luxury for me.     Old private hospital but can say all ok. I've gone thru eye injection with Dr yew yen hern. Experience Dr and willing to share his knowledge. I ve done 4th time injection already and getting better . Staff also ok may be few staff spoil the soup but we can't say their bad .

    Very super bad service, 11pm go through the hospitalization procedures, waiting covid result more than 4hr! But there just have two patient in emergency. After that, When I want to see doctor ask about my grandmother information about her, they say doctor busy need to wait, but don't know need waiting until what time. So I want waiting until 1 day or 1 week??Why I can't ask doctor about my family information?? I have paid money. So my mother call again, than we came back home 1st. When we on the way go home, doctor assistant call us.so I ask doctor what time I can bring my grandmum go back, he say all things already ok, I can bring my grandmother go back anytime, so I go back to the hospital bring my grandmother, but there say have many things not ready can't bring my grandmum now. So stupid, what service?????? Everyone say different things, u all don't do a same hospital???

    My mother was admitted to Lam Wah Ee for 18 days to treat her pneumonia. She has been receiving her treatment in CCU ward since she has heart issue as well. I need to give a thumb up to all the CCU nurses as they are well trained, humble, attending and very caring indeed. They are little giant regardless of their petit size. I think all the nurses deserve a good appraisal as they are so professional in their job scope. Good job !

    LWEH has been our favourite family hospital. My baby is under Paediatric Dr Lim Ai Teng, my baby admitted 2 x to the Paediatric ward, I'm very satisfied with the services from the Top, Head Paediatric Dr Cheang, Paediatric ward Sister Tan to the bottom, the attendant even the cleaner, all has been very courteous.
