Fantastic rest point for filter coffee and a tasty sweet treat. Crรจme brรปlรฉe was a hot cold sublime meeting point and the Ethiopian filter on offer hits the mark. The venue channels some great spiritual energy airways and that special Japanese aesthetic. Situated in a beautiful shop where you can grab a few nice items also for your friends and family.

Great ambience and comfy cafe. Onigiri (duck) rice was pretty dry and could use some light sauce. Potato salad waffle portion is good and most flavour comes from sauce. You can have the place to yourselves around 10am

A very nice cafe + bookstore + unique multiple heritage and souvenirs store all located within same building integrated together. The interior design is nice with a Japanese modern cafe style. Insta worthy with Japanese inspired food is healthy, light & filling. Selection food is great with snack, actual meal size and great coffee selection. Love their coffee! Service is friendly and the pace is not bad when not crowded. Itโ€™s understandable when more people are there. Came here 3x in a row to eat, cafe hangout and shop around in one good place. Highly recommend here for its food and unique souvenir store too

I only tried out their soda mixed fruits tea. Taste good. Price is reasonable. The internal design is Japanese Zen Muji style. Fully aircon. Service is fast and staffs are friendly too. There is a hand crafted shop attached tgt with the cafe.

Relaxed ambient. Itโ€™s a souvenir shop with the cafe at the side. Also some Japan imported canned food and snacks as well. Provides Japanese style meals with limited choices but delicious. Suitable for small group like 2-6 person. Center table can accommodate 12 if available. Got 1 high table for 8. Nice coffee and matcha. Coffee is medium roast. Lunch menu starts at 11am.

Take away their coffee. Itโ€™s good, slightly acidic. The cafe part could be quite crowded. Itโ€™s attached to other retails/gift shop so quite nice to look/hang around the gift shop after coffee/food.

Just amazing japanese food, the aesthetic of the place is dope. Small assortment of food choices which is great for those who have a hard time choosing what to eat. Small portion but lets be honest, you need to watch that weight of yours anyway

Environment and food/drinks is simple and yet feels like in Japan. The set back is the frying smell can be smell at the customer dining area. ๐Ÿ˜… Price is average. Portion and taste is good. Staff is friendly.

Nice environment and quiet, not much noise or echo when ppl around you are talking..Not sure how they do it. Food was freshly prepared, chicken just deep fried, and taste was good. Not too salty, doesn't feel thirsty after eating. Shaved ice dessert only with natural sweeteners like mango, grapes and coconut water. Will be back for more.

Ambience: 4.5/5 Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5 I love the setup of this place. The entire ambience is minimalist but it is rather hot and stuffy. Limited seats so make sure to book your place early. Food portion is rather small but it should compensate the amount of money you pay. Service given is reasonable but could be better!

Japanese inspired food. The Japanese curry with fried chicken is good. Ice coffee served in a sake bottle / cup is a nice touch. They also serve meatless food which is great for vegetarian. Most of the food is only available after 11:30 am. Only a small section of the breakfast menu is available before 11:30 am.

Nice area. The cafe is housed within a larger shop selling artistic lifestyle souvenirs and products. The bingsu was quite good! The drink on the other hand, was quite average.

Only had desserts and coffee. Creme brulรฉ was ok and could be smoother. Coffee is not consistent, appears to be brewed by an amateur. Both the pots of supposedly same coffee taste different... One was considerably weaker than the other. Good ambience though.

I ordered latte, matcha cheesecake, creme brulee, and the Snow Ice matcha (I forgot the name). Latte however, is no sugar, they dont provide syrup (we asked for syrup anyway, just fyi if you dont like plain latte) latte is good and creamy. Cheesecake is good also, would reccomend. Creme brulee is the best I tasted here. Snow ice matcha is also good and refreshing. However, they didnt provide tissue ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ I wonder why every restaurant in here never put tissue box on their customer table. And if you go around 3pm it would be busy in the cafee. The cafee is inside the store if youโ€™re missing it.

Spicy goma mazemen were fragrant and it tasted nutty, authentic but slightly bland. It was al dente. Matcha milk kakigori was good but not much of a surprise. Overall a decent experience in this eatery.

Great quiet ambience and lovely steaming plate of Hamburg curry rice. So much better than the overpriced plates of cafe food in KL. Also tried their premium hand drip coffee which bro said was good. Just wish chairs were more comfy, but I've always been super picky with chairs. I will be back to try other items on the menu.

Lovely Japanese themed cafe connected to a lifestyle shop. Lovely interior deco, mesmerising sitting beneath the waving sheets of paper in the ceiling. Food was nice but experience somewhat spoilt by the inexperienced young servers and these terrible cheap utensils with such sharp edges.

The taste of Japan in Penang is something you don't get everyday. Loved every bite and sip of their food. The environment is calming and detoxing. The price is really reasonable, and the freshness is experienced in each ingredient. The best thing is their drinks that come with a tinge of natural touch. We felt the burst of flavour with each sip. In hot and humid Penang it recharges you with the secrets of nature. The staff are really humble and helpful. Highly recommend.

Entered after lunch hour so the place is rather quiet and relaxing to hangout for a drink. Got a specialty fizz drink for dine in and Japanese iced coffee to go. Was sceptical on the steep Rm20 for the coffee at first although itโ€™s single origin but was worth every sip and noticed that their beans are sourced from a Japan based roaster. Barista there had a strict quality control over their coffee, tasting before serving. They apologise and told me the first cup brewed had some issues and would make a new one. Very professional and dedicated of them to do that. Did not ordered any mains but had a glanced and saw the price for their mains were definitely on the lower end for what theyโ€™re serving, must visit place if you want good coffee and affordable meals

Located in the central district of Georgetown, Penang, this Japanese-themed cafe offers a slice of Japan with down-to-earth mains and desserts well-known of the cuisine. Aside from its mains such as donburis, ramen and udon, the all-rounded menu also features specialised desserts including ๐—š๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ฐ๐—ต๐—ฎ ๐—•๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ป๐˜ ๐—–๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—ธ๐—ฒ and ๐—™๐˜‚๐—ธ๐˜‚ ๐—ฆ๐—ถ๐—ด๐—ป๐—ฎ๐˜๐˜‚๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—–๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—บ๐—ฒ ๐—•๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฒ. The inner texture of the cheesecake is soft and gooey, while its slightly charred exterior gives off a slight smoky flavour that balances with the sweet and salty taste. The creme brulee, freshly baked daily, boasts a slightly torched and carmelised surface, contrasting against the soft and creamy egg pudding and chewy brown sugar pearls. The drinks offerings range from the basics โ€“ lattes, mochas, americanos โ€“ to the specialised including ๐— ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—ผ and ๐—ž๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ท๐˜‚. The former features a lemonade infused with yuzu, peach and chrysanthemum syrup, while the latter puts a milo-dinosaur twist to a mildly sweet uji matcha latte.

+ love the theme + staff are attentive + Location - there are so many artworks, shops, and cafes nearby I really wanted to adore this cafe, but the dish I ordered didn't quite live up to its enticing appearance. While the curry was flavorful, the chicken lacked flavor.

Contacted them thru Whatsapp to reserve a table, fast replies and friendly assist. Came here to find the hamburg omurice freshly made, which tasted amazingly delicious. Plus, their drink is superb. Tried their matcha bingsu, which is otherworldly.

It's a tiny cafe located inside a shop. Not far from Komtar, within walking distance. The interior is calming. Staffs are very nice and attentive. The food taste nice except for the mushroom miso soup, taste a bit salty. The price is affordable and reasonable! I like the menu, small and cute. It's a good place for friends to hang out and chill over cup of coffee~

โš ๏ธ (Pork-Free) . Visit time: Dec 2020 . . It was a rainy night when we visited and not crowded, my partner and I found the atmosphere of the restaurant rather chilling and quaint. A very nice place to go to. The food was also your typical japanese dishes, from Chicken Karaage to Curry Katsu Don. . . We had the partner's usual - Chicken Curry Katsu, while I had a Curry Udon. For drinks a refreshing Mojito and a Hojicha Latte. . . This cafe is inside what looks alike a minimalist lifestyle store. Do remember to check out the store to find alot of locally handmade items, from tea, to notebooks, to games! Overall, this quaint cafe is worth visiting again! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Nice cozy place, the entrance is a little challenge to find for first timer. The food taste good but the portion is a little small (perhaps that's the typical Penang food portion). Price is OK too and serves nice coffee.

Tucked into the Mano Plus Select Store, they offer a pretty decent selection of mixed Asian food, mainly japanese with a lot of influence from other Asian countries. Quite a cozy place, good ambiance and decent food. Coffee was quite good as well.

This place is tucked inside a bookstore cum souvenir shop. So there's more to do than just having a meal. Can shop for trinkets after that. Wife and kids love their bowls, especially the noodles with salmon. I am indifferent to japanese food and ordered their curry katsu rice. Place is packed on weekends and we have a 90 minute window to finish off our food. Ample time considering my son eats slow. I see a few malays eating there in a group, so maybe it's halal

I been here couple of times and never posted it , probably the food is so nice that makes me forget and walk out happily. Saturday morning brunch was my intention but was told lunch menu only 11.30am onwards. I though maybe order a few to keep my stomach quite for a while but never did I know it's enough and no space for lunch menu. Anyway, it's a nice place to drop by for either bfast, lunch or tea time. The curry is a must try ya. Tried the cakes before as well but no pics unfortunately . It's all yummy for what I can say. Must order match based drink too ya. Note : port free , can't confirm halal.
