I don't know is it because is holiday and kitchen was rush. Compare with visit on 2019 the taste was loose many ..... really disappointed 😥 😞

Dragon-i restaurant felt like a combination of 3 restaurants serve Ding Tai Fung, Paradise dynasty and Soup restaurant dishes and more. Love their xiao long bao much bigger and pack a punch. The drunken chicken, fried prawn dumpling, sour & spicy sliced fish soup, braised tofu vegetable with muchroom, chicken soup and stir fried garlic spinach all really good. Servers and their manager very attentive. Both our chinese tea were always filled to the brim never empty, without asking for refill-excellent service! The restaurant set up was neat, clean and cosy. The patrons were mainly couple and families, however the restaurant was not noisy. We had a pleasant time dining at the restaurant. Highly recommended to dine here. Will come again when I visit Penang.

We are regular customers and have been served by lady manager who gave a top notch service always. She would recollect all our preferences each time invariably. Today was another extraordinarily day that she managed to search my daughter Invisalign Braces in the midst of her busy tight schedule which really deserved a big credit and great applause 👏👏

We dropped by just to indulge ourselves with their highly popular molten custard salted egg buns and also their small basket buns. We had frequently visited other outlets to have quick bites on these two tantalizing dishes.

Too noisy with disco next door and staff were technically playing an orchestra with the ceramic plates and spoons with the constant banging. Don't understand the 10% service charge when there's no table service at all? Even ordering is self-service online ordering. Cashier did not even greet me when I went to pay at counter and just handed me the receipt. Wait staff literally reached from behind my back to take the soy sauce and vinegar without asking. Food tasted so bad it's a disgrace to Chinese cuisine. No wonder your restaurant has downsized to 1/3 of your glory times. 0 star if I could.

Please improve your inventory management. This is ridiculous that majority of your menu are out of stock in the early morning. Please stated clearly type of menu that you have for the day to enable customers to refer before enter/ dine in your outlet. Wasting time to look at menu & order end up this & that out of stock.

Love this place. We have been here many times. It is a great place for my wife and I as I love spicy and she does not, so they have something for each of us. We always get the 辣子鸡 (spicy sichuan chicken)， 小龙包 （Shanghai style soup dumplings)， and the 干煸四季豆 (dry fried green beans)。 Then we mix up the rest with our taste for the day. Service is always good here, prices are reasonable and the food is awesome. We have only had one dish we were disappointed with and it was some kind of chicken dish one of our Chinese friends ordered there (can not remember the name). We will continue to go back as long as they do not change.

Food was great here! Restaurant's interior was also pretty exquisite. Love the detail they put into their plating too. Must tries: the tofu appetizer shaped in cubes!! Crispy on the outside and soft and melts on the tongue on the inside! The salt that was coated on the tofu skin was also just nice, not too salty and not too bland.

Good dine in environment, follow SOP, limited customer for dine in. Btw, the taste still the same.

Actually all food taste is good and ok. Staff nice and service also ok.

Frankly, the service is quite bad for the price of the food we're paying. Food doesn't get served all at once but came one by one with 15-20 minutes in between, so the first dishes were already cold. Perhaps our table was missed out as the bigger tables around us had almost all their food despite us coming before them. But that just concludes that they were not attentive enough since the waitress/manager did not seem to be sorry in the slightest when they served the last dish. In fact, when our dish was served, some spilled on the table, and not a single apology was given. Unexpected from such an expensive restaurant. I would not recommend this place, despite being a longtime patron of this brand. It is just disappointing. The food still tastes good, but I think there are better places with similar quality and better service. Or perhaps, just avoid this branch at Gurney Plaza.

Xiao long bao: 3/5 Average. Crispy Pork chop la mian: 1/5 Does not taste good. The soup base is too plain and crispy pork chop is not crispy at all. Shrimp Fried rice: 3/5 The taste is good, shrimp is fresh. The only problem and major issue is the fried rice is too greasy.

Come here each time I'm in Penang pretty much. It's always a nice one. The staff are a bit reserved but nothing to really be upset about. The food is nice as usual. I'm usually just coming in for the Xiaolongbao.

Good varieties of Chinese food but the price is on a higher side. Can be crowded during peak hours.

The food is really bad. The fried fish has more batter than meat. And use frozen prawn. Shanghai truffle dumpling has no truffle taste at all. Most of the food unbearable to finish.

Dragon-i.. the famous dining franchise, which serves varieties of Chinese cuisine. Loved the tomato egg noodle, tomato lovers can try. Others noodles was alright. would come back again to try other varieties.

This place is not new to Malaysian. Famous with their 小笼包和拉面.. but quality is getting bad to worst... With the recent experience ordered so called 'recommended' lamian, the lamian was like swimming in a bowl of oils.. Terrible quality... No more next time, DTF is still the best that able to keep up the standard and quality...

Very good food and friendly staff. Will comeback again here.

We relish every meal at Dragon-I Gurney Plaza. Efficient & friendly service, authentic food and charming ambiance. With the recent price rises, hope the portions will not be decreased.

I come back yearly for the seasonal hairy crab. The london duck is also very nice (p.s. its london duck not peking duck so its deep fried) the dumpling skin for wrapping the duck is amazing , had to order more. The xiaolongbao dumplings are amazing as usual. Explosions of soup umami in your mouth. Always my go to branch, service and food always on par👍
