Drink was just ok, I ordered Hojicha. The place add so many points to the review. Nice place to chill. Was there for high tea and ordered cake. Cake portion is quite big and delicious! I remembered I had the Black Sesame Cheesecake.

Overview - There aren't many tables/seating and thus, I would recommend to go with reservation. Their staff service is friendly. However, finding car park spots is a challenge (just on road side and behind Lane). If I were asked for improvement areas where can bring the café experience to next higher level, I would recommend to increase food selection...as currently only have 5-6 different types of spaghetti and 10-15 types of baked cheesecakes. Their long black coffee is rather below average (for those experienced coffee lover). In addition, their one and only one toilet need to be improved as it gave to customer on a "perception" of lower hygiene toilet. Based on their info, they make all their spaghetti noodle which I would give credit for their hard work.. I may not be expert on spaghetti as I couldn't differentiate any speciality on their spaghetti to others. I have tasted other Aqio Olio which is better taste than Syarikat

It's a nice place to visit and have delicious pasta. The design is a little bit bizarre but I like it. Vintage office something between fallout and silent hill...just kidding ) but not really) visit and decide for yourself.

First tried at this shop. The place is a bit old office style with fully air con indoor. The handmade pasta area are opened at the restaurant. I personally think its a bit not hygienic to left the pasta on table openly with so many customers passing by and taking photos. Pesto based spaghetti taste is fine. Aglio olio is nicer. Their signature classic burnt cheese cake [lemon zest flavour with caramel top] is rich in lemon zest flavour, but the cheese softness is still a bit lack. Price is above average for a home based cafe. Parking is difficult.

So glad that my friend introduced us to this cafe. Straight forward, they do what they are great at. Awesome pastas, presentation was perfect, so were the taste. The cheese cake is a must to order too. Remember to make a reservation with them before heading down. 10/10 will return if I’m in Penang.

Nice setup with retro style of office furniture. Your visit will be limited to just 60min as they only have 6 dine in table available at one time. The cheese cake is nice, just the price is on the higher side. The spaghetti is also nice, should try out their black charcoal spaghetti.

Great place to hangout. Love the interior and the vibe of the place. The cake’s taste grows on you with each bite. Coffee is ok but not so strong. Might not be a liking for coffee lovers. i think this place sells the interior for instagrammable picture experience. Definitely try for yourself.

Perfect place to go for Basque burnt cheesecake. They serve layered burnt cheesecake with mix and match flavours. Space is limited. Retro interior design. Menu only cheesecake, spaghetti and drinks. Better make reservation before visiting.

Their basque cheesecake is so so good!! And with their fancy combination 😍👌 The cafe is hidden among the terrace houses and the interior is very retro, vintage vibes. With many typewriters as furnishings

Along a residential area you will find this cafe. Small yellow sign 'Syarikat' is visible at front gate. What you will see on the pics, Nasi Sambal Chicken, clam garlic ramen, fries with sprinkle of parmesan cheese. Not pic taken was super matcha burnt cheesecake, gula Melaka latte and matcha latte.

Never thought I would taste some of the best pasta I’ve had in Malaysia! So good! Reasonably priced for what you get and if the taste/quality of the food wasn’t enough, the decor and vibe of the place is honestly unreal. 10/10

A nice retro feel cafe. Handmade pasta is good, the noodle texture is very nice. The coffee are not bad. The gula melaka latte got some coconut flakes inside it. The cheesecake quite nice. Came at 12pm sharp so many seats still available.

A young and sleek Cafe decorated with old office furniture and type writers. Main food items are cakes and homemade pasta. Cakes are on the rich types and coffee aroma okay. Instagram friendly place.

A time capsule eatery. As the name suggests, you’ll likely start on the main road and see the printed meme on the iron gate before realizing that it is truly “back door”. Walk around to the alleyway and find a black, sliding gate - the faintest hue of neon lighting means “x marks the spot” The decor, lighting, and furnishings are a flashback to the 80s and eye-candy for any customer. Reasonably priced, I ordered the Nasi Syarikat set (RM12.9) and it’s paired with a complimentary drink. The rice was fluffy and especially fragrant, the fried chicken was crunchy, and the sambal was mild - all said, a satisfying meal. It’s a new go-to spot.

A hidden gem in the taman where everyone can relax and enjoy their delicious handmade pasta and cake. Their cake was full of flovour and their pasta was delicious. They got the rule mentioned everyone must order minimum one meal.

They only sell homemade pasta and basque burn cheese cake. But that's good enough to attract so many customer come for these 2 item. Ordered their signature Pomodoro with lamb meatball pasta, and a piece of classic brulee. Both taste good. Very Instagrammable interior. The only weakness is too hard to find parking space as this is a housing area.

Great food, affordable price, great to take pictures. For first timer, it will be confusing to seadch the place, but once you get inside, all the confusions are really worth it. The chicken chop is also the best I ever had in Penang, try their Asian Garlic Butter (??) Chicken chop! Delish!

‘Syarikat’, fit the theme of refurbished office to become a cafe. Main course menu limited to pasta. Generally taste good. Noticed from some of the review that the pasta is homemade. Various types of baked cheese cake. Coffee taste normal. Price slightly on higher side. #syarikat #cafe #penang #georgetown #pasta #cake #coffee

"A diskette is now a coaster." A retro-office-themed cafe. Coffee is nice. It's residential area so parking are quite limited. Came here at 12pm sharp, a lot of seats. ☕Food: Good coffee, but not the best. Spaghetti are salty in my opinion. Cheesecake is great. 🧑🏻‍🍳Service: Staffs are friendly and patient. 🎶Atmosphere: Full with retro office stationeries and typewriters. Good music too. Have fun looking for this place if you are first-timer. I like the retro office ambience. Happy hour promo for nasi syarikat set with nanyang milk coffee for RM10.90. Rice is fluffy. Other recommendations are cheesy kappa ramen and Africa cocoa. Limited seating though.

Super recommended if you need to chill out with a small group of friends! I personally really love their Kimchi kappa ramen, Nasi Syarikat, Cham Peng and Iced Matcha!! 😍 - Better make reservations with the cafe one day before to make sure you'll get a seat >< - As this is a hidden cafe, might be a bit hard to find for first timer tho 😂 Well anyways I still visit there quite often, it's a 9/10 for me!

Had pasta, latte and cakes. The pasta was average. Requested no mushrooms for the pasta but it came with mushrooms anyway... The cheesecakes tasted great! Worth a visit for the cakes but not for the food.

This new place is awesome! My son has food allergies and the owner took the time to handmade eggless & non-dairy pasta. I made reservations two days in advance and was told he will make the arrangements for my son due to his allergens. Totally recommended 👍👍

Quite unique design with the interior. Exterior do not look like a cafe. Luckily others had post up outlook photo for reference. Foods & Drinks are nice. Cake price is slightly high.

Had lunch on a slow Tuesday afternoon. Food in general was excellent however options were few, wish they had more options other than just pasta. Was excited for the cheesecake however, it wasn’t a style of cheesecake that I liked. Deco was interesting and brought back memories for my parents who seen and used it all. Would personally come back again if they expand the menu.

  • 5/5 Olivia T. 1 year ago on Google
Pricing is slightly higher but its considered reasonable as they serve handmade pasta, its really good and worth the price, had their signature pomodoro, served with handmade lamb meatballs, love that they stuffed the cheese inside! Abit down with the limited cake flavours because we came quite late and a lot of popular flavours already sold out, we had the hojicha matcha which they said its one of their signature as well, its was surprisingly a very good combination, taste very premium and rich, the sweetness is just perfect, matcha lover will definitely love it, overall I would say they serve quality food, and worth to visit again.

I like how unique this place is. Originally an office, it has been converted into a café. The decor is a mix of retro and contemporary styles. The pasta is delicious, and the owner gave us some great suggestions for places to visit and things to try in Penang. It was an extremely pleasant experience! I will gladly return:)

  • 4/5 Harith J. 3 years ago on Google
The menu is limited, which meant that greater care is taken for each order. Everything about the decor is a bit whimsical but I love it!!! There are limited seatings though. And this place offers a wide range of intagrammable spots while waiting for the food to come to the table. When it said "back lane", yes you have to enter through the back lane!!!

👍 Queue seemed quite long when we arrived around 2.30 pm but we only waited about 20 minutes. I think they should have more signage to tell customers what to do so the process can be easier. There was only one waiter upstairs in the seating area so it was quite difficult to get his attention. Food is...
