This place serve fresh seafood with affordable price. The food quality is very good especially the mantis prawn which is live. The food taste abit salty and strong in flavour but acceptable. Open air restaurant. The price is on the average range compare to others premium restaurant. Overall i personally find it a recommended place for seafood in Penang town area.

Steam Fish salty 5/10. Eggs tasteless 3/10. Serving time not slow. Staff nothing to do standing a group look here look there at people eating, not comfortable with that feeling, talk also no privacy, standing too near. Price average, if order simple dishes, more seafood will cost high. After eating back home keep on drinking water..

It's a seafood restaurant. Made a booking for 20pax for cny but upon arrival was requested to queue. They said it was first come first served. Waited for half and hour and left. Kids were super hungry. The restaurant was packed. There's no sop here. Prices are expensive by penang standards. Besides, it's all frozen food apart from small live mud crabs and a small tank of live mantis and tiger prawns.

Food was served was okay. but portion smaller than expected. No more papadum as entree while wait for food. so may get snacks from hawker across street. Service was good and help took some group photos. They dont seem to accept food booking and only walkin so need to go early as limited parking. price has also increased to inline with Georgetown tourist price

Seafood good and fresh. Crabs were meaty. Reasonably priced. But the tables and the vinyl tablecloth are super smelly and dirty. Seafood experience marred by the smell of the tablecloth.

This was my second visit to the seafood restaurant, and it had been quite some time since my first. The taste has remained consistent, and the prices are still reasonable. All the seafood dishes were notably fresh. I ordered five dishes: steamed grouper, stir-fried dragon vegetable, salt and pepper shrimp, salted egg squid, and golden fragrant clams. •The steamed grouper was incredibly fresh and flavorful without being overly salty. The salt and pepper shrimp were a bit on the dry side, but still tasty. These two, along with the dragon vegetable, were the highlights among the five dishes. •The golden fragrant clams were a letdown; they were underseasoned and had a slightly fishy taste, indicating that the cooking time wasn’t well-calibrated. The salted egg squid was cut into rather large pieces, but its flavor was still on point.

Awesome food, great prices! We went here yesterday with some friends for Chinese New Year dinner. The food was so tasty and the prices were very reasonable. We had Teow Chew style snapper which was just amazingly delicious; fried chicken which was crisp and flavorful; pig foot which was tasty albeit a little on the tough side, but we still loved it. We also had conch which were so good, but a bit of a pain to get out of the shell. The egg plant and the greens we had were both done perfectly and both had amazing flavor. There was also a soup which I did not get the name as my friend ordered it, but had a very tangy flavor and was oh so good. There was also a curry shrimp in a coconut which was tasty, but a little messy to eat as you had to pick off the shell. And last but not least we ordered rice and they brought a huge pot for the eight of us. There was not a single dish in the lot that we did not love. I will certainly go back and would highly recommend this place, but do be aware it can be a bit stifling inside, so I would suggest to sit outside, or in front of the fans.

    1) Mantis prawns were RM28 per 100 grams and 3 prawns (total 500g) cost us RM140. However it tasted like normal prawns to me. 2) Crabs were RM13 per 100 grams and 2 crabs (total 850g) cost us RM110. Cooked in dry chili crab style - pretty decent and crabs were very meaty. 3) Service was quick. 4) Total cost of the whole meal for 3pax was RM304, which is not bad.

Don't forget to try something special they have here - baby octopus!!! It is incredible and all their seafood dishes are incredibly fresh and fast. Their drinks - "tek chiak" (baby bamboo) and chrysanthemum is completely homemade and costs just RM1.50! Only downside is they don't accept phone bookings, just walk in

Ordered a delightful array: 1. 2 Lobsters with Soup, 1 Steamed Lobster 2. 1 Steamed Grouper, Hong Kong Style 3. Coconut Prawns 4. 2 Vegetable Dishes This restaurant specializes in live seafood, and every dish was exceptionally nice and flavorful. The experience cost approximately 150 RM per person. A seafood haven worth indulging in!

Had coconut shrimp, rice, and a fresh coconut. The coconut shrimp was delicious! It was only a bit messy. I wish I knew how to peel a shrimp without getting my hands dirty. All together was 42RM. Nice ambiance and friendly service.

Go early for sittings. Crowded on weekends and public holidays. Good price for the portion and food tasted very savoury. Good and friendly service. Would go back again.

Great selection of seafood here. Ordered 4 dishes which consist of squid, prawn, vegetable and omelette which cost RM 94. Great taste and definitely a good place to have your seafood. Crab is around RM 120 per kg.

Tasty seafood with reasonable price. It's better to book before going there for dinner as normally the restaurant is quite full with tourist.

Coconut prawn curry (10 good sized ones), 2 slipper lobsters, clams and veggie, a beer and 2 drinks for 160 ringgit. Not too bad value for money. Clams were gritty though. Taste wise pretty good no MSG dry mouth aftertaste. Very busy and chaotic at peak hours, not much difference made that I made a booking as people cutting the queue got a better table than us. 🤷‍♀️

Being in Penang for so many years, haven't tried the restaurant. Interesting selection of seafood. The flavors were good while seafood was extremely fresh. Only downside is when it rains some seating areas could be challenging.

Seafood restaurant middle of town! It’s been here since the 90’s or even before that. Food was tasty and reasonable pricing..

Very friendly staff, situated in the heart of George Town. Just walking distance from the street art. We ordered steam fish, steam eggs, fried veggie, and salted eggs mantis prawn. All are good except the steam eggs a little bit on the hard side. Price wise is reasonable too. However, those comments online are true also. Their drink is quite "watery". Too diluted and hardly feel the taste. Better go for beers or soft drink here.

Good seafood, fresh seafood bar to choose and order the cooking way. Tasty clay pot tofu, dragon vegetables with mushroom, spicy lemony clams and first attempt on Thorn conch. Also tried prawn Asam curry and chilli crab. Quick serving on food and drinks. Located in touristy spot near Armenian street, private parking near by is available. Recommended this shop👍

We came for dinner last night (Thursday) around 7pm and it’s a week day, no crowd. Not sure what is the specialty here. The taste of the dishes seem very mediocre. We ordered the following items: 1) Steam fish and we chose a rather small one but didn’t expect it to be this expensive (RM45). From the pic, you can see that the meat is very little. 2) Kam heong style lala but not sure why it came out as stir fried ginger style (RM12). Reasonably priced. 3) the famous coconut prawns (RM41) but I personally feel there’s nothing to shout about. Thick spicy coconut gravy, doesn’t taste like tomyam. Taste is alright. 4) Steam plain egg (RM10) - this is expensive and ridiculous. The egg is OVER steamed and not to mention OVERpriced. The amount of egg used is just 1! Look at how thinly layered the plate was. Very pathetic. 5) Lastly is the garlic stir fried sweet potato vegetable (RM10). This is the best dish out of all the dishes we ordered. I forgot to snap a pic of it. With 2 bowls of rice, the bill came up to RM120. Not really worth it.

Great food and great taste. We liked all ordered except the coconut shrimp it's a slightly disappointing when comparing the others. The apply juice is fantastic! We came here two consecutive nights, very satisfying dinner. Service is fast, and good enough.

Recommended by a friend to try out the seafood and did not disappoint. You can choose all the seafood fresh for yourself, and the service is quite quick to cook it and bring the food out. The fish was great as was the prawn curry.

Fast delivery. Seafood price is acceptable since dining in Penang island. We ordered with 7 adults and 1 kid cost us RM 346 (exclude drinks). Parking on the other end was terrible as traffic is really packed since near Armenian Street...

We came here for a seafood dinner, price is slightly above average. Serving is ample and fast. There’re enough tables, hence you need not to queue to have a table. There’s live seafood and you can choose your picks and the way to cook them. We tried the Mantis Pawns, they were huge and really good. I love recommend it if you come to have your meal.

👍 Queue seemed quite long when we arrived around 2.30 pm but we only waited about 20 minutes. I think they should have more signage to tell customers what to do so the process can be easier. There was only one waiter upstairs in the seating area so it was quite difficult to get his attention. Food is...
