Very nice, place. It's hidden. Food are delicious. The owner itself handle the customer and very humble. Definitely will suggest to others

You just order your favorite dish, spy on what your neighbor-table has ordered or just ask the friendly waitress for assistance This is an old restaurant that has stood over time. The food is nice and the price is reasonable for Penang rate. Plenty of free car park lots. Accessible for people for walking disability, but minus the toilets.

Delicious meal. Especially the pig trotters & belacan chicken. All fresh and tasty. Good value.

A Chu Char (Order to cook) set up is an ordinary restaurant with an air-con open section and a non air-con area. We ordered TomYam Seafood Soup, Sambal Potato Leaves, Brinjal Kam Heong, and Sour Steam Clam. The Sambal Potato Leaves looks moist, but when tastes, it is dry and clumpy. The TomYam doesn't taste like any traditional Thai Tom Yam, which is NOT to our liking. The Brinjal Kam Heong is NOT that we have expected the Kam Heong flavour to be. The only satisfaction we had was the Sour Steamed Clam, which had the lemony sourish taste... and the gravy was sweet from the clams.

The steamed garoupa, which cost over RM100, was a huge disappointment - it was hard (loko) & had a muddy taste. Other food items are average in taste. May be a good idea to ask for the food prices before ordering - the menu does not indicate prices. Overall, quite expensive considering it is a coffeeshop style restaurant in a housing area where overhead costs are lower.

I humbly think that they should bring back the taste before . The steam fish we had was not fresh and was just overly soaked with soya sauce . The steam rice itself was a low grade quality of steam rice . My uncle who loves rices commented that he was just hungry otherwise he will not eat the rice due to low quality . The overall experience was not that great but I am very sure they could improve better .

Food is good. Prices have gone up though because of inflation.

One of my favorite classic seafood restaurant equipped with aircond. Foods are decent, price is super reasonable. We ordered steamed fish, pork knuckle, bamboo prawn, chili chicken, vege and tofu for rm260 only. We would definitely revisit this hidden gem in Penang again, highly recommended👍👍👍

A moderate Chinese restaurant opposite of the famous "Ah Leng char koay teow". The setting is unlike the upscale oriental restaurants in town. However, the reasonable prices of its extensive mouth-watering dishes makes up for that. That's why it's also well-loved by my Indian mates. This year, it offers CNY reunion takeaway. In sum, highly recommended for foodies who want to sample authentic Chinese food.

Nice and tasty choo char. Reasonable prices. Spacious seating in the semi open-air area with good ventilation. Loved the bamboo curry prawn.

An old Chinese restaurant which I usually visit since childhood. Served lots of variety of Chinese food, hot pot, seafood, fried rice or even steamed lotus rice. Taste is pretty much quite nice but maybe a bit expensive. They have outdoor and indoor seating with aircon.

For family and friends gathering event, this place can never go wrong. Serving typical Chinese food (stir fry, steam fish etc.) Reasonably priced and delicious. Do note the kitchen closes at 2pm. Reopened on 5pm till night.

The environment is small but clean. The price of the char koay teow is way too high and yet the portion is so small, smh

Loved their Nasi Goreng Siam, spicy & tasty. Also like their Singapore Bihun. Would recommend this place for Chinese cuisines. Suitable for large family too

Food is not bad but pricey. Fish was very fresh. Yee sang was refreshing and not heavy. Nestum butter chicken was dry. Belacan broccoli was lacking flavour.

👍 A friend highly recommended me to visit this restaurant when I travel to Penang. No regrets making my way there as the food is amazing and the pricing is also very reasonable. Don’t mind to visit this place again real soon.

😠 I reached at around 2:30pm and still need to queue till 3:00 pm. Disappointed with the food because the deep fried fish roe and fish are hard rather than crispy. The gravy is also so so only.

👍 Queue seemed quite long when we arrived around 2.30 pm but we only waited about 20 minutes. I think they should have more signage to tell customers what to do so the process can be easier. There was only one waiter upstairs in the seating area so it was quite difficult to get his attention. Food is...
