This Neighbour good coffee shop has quite a few stalls serving really good Penang staples and is a hot favourite amongst locals. Hokkien mee, char koay teow, Hokkien char, Sar hor fun, wantan mee aster some of the favourites to be had here. Is located right next to NS Nasi Kandar along Burmah road and opens from morning till slightly after lunch time. It’s good that this place has not blown up on social media as it would be ver inconvenient to jostle for a place to sit. Park along Tavoy Lane, just next to the coffee shop.

Excellent kopi tiam compared to the one at Pulau Tikus with Kopi O (RM1.60) with interesting sour acidic note . Hokkien prawn Mee (RM5) is sought after but fails to reach the level served at Chew Jetty. The hidden gem is the Curry Mee(RM5), though initially disappointing without cockles, was a tasty light bowl of santan curry.

Ambience: 3/5 Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Typical old style chinese kopitiam serving a few types of local delicacies. The char hor fun and char koay teow stalls are outside of the coffee shop. Both the stalls serve really tasty food. Don’t forget to try the curry mee too. It is equally good. A little face-lifting of the coffeeshop would be good.

Good hawker with a variety of good penang hawker food. The white curry , hokkien mee and wanton mee is recommended. Unfortunately the Char Keow Teow stall was not opened on the day we were there. The cha kueh kak was disappointing, too mushy and salty. Too much soya sauce.

Love the environment of the old style coffee shop. Ordered Hokkien Loh but the taste is not what I expected.

Still a great place for a quick breakfast. Everytime we are there in Penang, we are there. Hokkien mee was good. Basically value for your dollars. The operators are friendly.

Actually the curry mee here is not too bad, and not too spicy when you dnt mix all the chilli paste. Give it a try if you’re nearby

Local style kopitiam or coffeeshop conned with many food stalls. The hokian mee is good but the coffee is too sweet for me

One of the better char koay teow in town. Lesser known but patronised by locals. The stall is been there for more than 30 yrs old. Must try. It opens only in the afternoon session until 3.30pm.

So many good food in this coffee shop and within 1 minutes walk. In this coffee shop, yee mee, shang mee, wan tan mee, prawn mee is delicious. Curry mee, okay teow tng and fried koay teow so so only. Fried bee hoon stall ok only. The roti canai next door is very good. Another must try is a roadside stall selling apom.

Truly a local eatery. Not tourist pricing, still can get the Penang feel curry mee and char kuey teow here (with Penang price & Penang small portion). Curry Mee was rm6 and Char Kuey Teow was rm5.5 with egg. Golden rule, always be there before 9am before everyone else come. Was there on 8.30am on a public holiday and plenty of tables available. Was suggested to try the curry mee and hokkien mee (prawn noodle, that's how they called it here). Curry Mee was superb. Unfortunately hokkien mee wasn't available. Checked with the shop, the hokkien mee stall only open from Monday to Friday, and close on public holiday. The shop itself open from Monday to Saturday. Will be going to try it on my coming visit which is in very near future. Char Kuey Teow is above average, yes it deserved to carry the title of Penang Char Kuey Teow.

🫤 Overrated. Tried pork leg rice, Penang loh mee and Penang style CCF, all were subpar. Pork leg rice - Quite bland. The egg used was not even a proper lu-dan (soy egg), just a plain hard boiled egg. They did not even serve it with salted vege. Not good and not authentic. Penang loh mee - I'm a...
