We ordered food as per photo, and I must say it was amazing. Food was packed with flavours, and portion wise was more than enough. Everything was up to our expectation. Location wise, not too crowded- it's not on the main road but perhaps getting a parking may be challenging. You may take e-hailing or go on foot instead. Do come early, as you may end up having to queue just to get a table. We arrived at 6.59am and became the 1st customer. (Wanted to avoid the line/waiting). Will definitely come back for the food!

We were early so we’re seated quite fast. The place was filled up fast. Food is good and reasonable price. This restaurant serves all Penang’s famous street food without pork. Make sure the server repeat your orders especially on busy day.

We arrived around 2.30pm. Wasnt really crowd and we managed to get table to dine in. We ordered roti bakar, white curry noodle and char kuey teow. Paired with kopi peng and cham peng. Our reviews on food. Tastefully good was the white curry noodles. The kuey teow and roti bakar was just so so. Kopi peng not really as per my personal expectation and taste bud. However the cham was good, rich with flavours.

Went there for breakfast with colleagues. It is exactly opposite police station n might be hard to find parking space near the shop as limited. The food served was fast and the price was affordable too... quite a crowd even though went there at 7.30am. Love the char kuey teow and noodle soup

This was such a good restaurant! The Iced coffee was amazing 🀀 This place has three flavour options (prawn, chicken and curry) that can be cooked in different ways. We tried the chicken which was a little on the saltier end but still delicious and prawn was great. The noodles were bouncy in texture. Truly a gem in Georgetown! Love their char kuew teow, white curry noodle and prawn me, definitely to die for! Highly recommended! Be prepared for long queue and long waiting time but it's worth all the wait. Come early in order not to be disappointed as some dishes are sold out even during breakfast time.

Im not so called influencer or food reviewer. But i satisfied with the food here. Iced coffee is tasty and different with other coffee. Char koay tiow is so authentic. Mee curry is so delicious. The food here just light and the taste is not over like other place. Recommended place to authentic penang food. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Came for all the food here. Reallg like the simple and light taste of the food here. Like the soup and prawn curry also. Plus I like the fact that their noodles koew teow is small. Recommended for comfort food

Great iced coffee! I ordered iced kopi c and it was the best I've ever tasted so far!!! I loved it. The kuey teow soup was good as well. Ordered the fried rice on the second day but it was just OK. I will definitely visit again the next time I'm in Penang just for the iced coffee. Hot coffee was so-so.

Wahhhh.. really syiok CKT, the wok hey was just nice. Har Mien and White Curry Mee was awesome. For muslims who'd want a taste of authentic chinese makan for breakfast.. head on to this shop. Get there early as the crowd is always big. The host is gracious to inform customers that the food will take time when its peak periods, but in fact, it arrives quite fast...😝😝😝

Visited this shop on Monday morning for breakfast @ 7am+. Unfortunately, soup meals are ready. Prawn noodles soup, and white curry noodles. (After read reviews). Sayang no char keow teow to try 😭 Not to be missed is their kopi πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ We actually stayed at Regal hotel, so we walked. A peaceful morning around the locals. The akak attended us are so sweet with her smile. Probably only 2 pair of customers in shop. So service is swift. The environment is clean and airy. Prawn noodles soup, can taste prawn broth. Curry noodles really good. So famous πŸ˜‚ Good recommendation, will come back again for CKT.

A nice place to enjoy local breakfast in Penang. We had traditional toast, Hokkien mee (prawn mee) and white curry kway teow. The food was good and satisfying! I would say the food represented the local palate. Afterall, it's the place where the locals go for nice local breakfast food. The place is also patronized by Muslims. Recommend to visit early before the breakfast crowd comes in.

Food was great. Has it's old school vibes with your typical neighbourhood friendliness. But finding parking is like a lottery. Recommended.

Muslim friendly Chinese food! Serves really nice CKT, Hokkien Mee and Curry Mee. Have to try to come earlier during weekend cause the queue is long. Since they’re busy and didn’t attend to you, be sure to give them a call!

Came exactly at noon, luckily we were rather early for lunch and all the fried foods i.e char kuay teow and nasi goreng were still available for order,a little later than that we would have been disappointed as they told all the other customers after us that waiting time for ckt and nasi goreng takes more than an hour to prepare as orders were coming in nonstop. We had ckt, nasi goreng penang and clear noodle soup. All in all the foods were tasty and reasonably priced.

For those who want a good breakfast option that is heavier than kaya toast, but a lighter meal than a full-on big portion of rice or noodles, this is for you. The curry mee noodles is a must try, with a medley of proteins that is not too overbearing, in a bowl of delicious gravy, light but flavorful. hokkien noodle is simply awesome too!

Delicious. I would love to say only that... it is a good place for breakfast and lunch. Might have to wait for 10 minutes before you are served and another 10 minutes for your order to arrive. Worth the wait. I wish more resto n food vendors allows the no-pork no-lard in their chinese menus.

Delicious & Satisfying. Good cooking. Hot coffee & hot barley was good. Muslim friendly cafe. The parking was quite difficult to find.

Overall taste of the CKT is not bad, it's just the prawn super salty. Eventhou it's halal version of CKT, but taste still pretty OK. The owner is pretty generous with the eggs. Every plate came with an additional "mata kerbau" πŸ˜‹. Plenty of seat available when we arrive during lunch hour on weekdays.

  • 5/5 Nurul H. 9 months ago on Google
The nasi goreng and mee kari definitely the best! I tried all including roti bakar. You gonna have to queue but worth it.

Dining experience is good with a typical original kopitiam vibes and seatinga. Had the famous kuehtiau goreng special. Taste was Okay with addition of fresh shrimp. Ice coffee also is a thick and aromath drink. Can try their curry laksa too. Overall Okay experience.

Small local morning cafe near komtar. Recommend white curry mee and hokkien mee, both noodle soup is good.

This is a Muslim friendly shop serving Chinese food. The famous dishes are char koay teow and their hokkien mee. Tried the char koay teow I'm quite impressed that the CKT is nice even without any lard. The smell of wok is excellent. Hokkien mee has strong prawn flavour. It's quite flavourful. Would appreciate more if owner put in chicken slices instead of fish balls and other processed product like the crab stick. The fried rice was not so good. The rice is bland, not enough wok smell. But the sambal really helps. The sambal they gave was really excellent. Freid rice came with 2 prawns and one fried egg. I would say the price is slightly more expensive than the normal fried rice from other coffee shop. Parking spaces on this street are very limited. This shop does not have a halal certification. When I was there, all of the customers are Malay. So I guess this is a Muslim friendly coffee shop.

MUST TRY! The food was excellent. Mee Udang (Hokkein Noodle) was exceptional. Roti bakar was great. Char Kuey Teow was good. Fresh orange and hot honey lemon was also good.

Halal Char Kuey Teow! Gives you a kopitiam feel when you eat here The food was not too bad (i think for halal kuey teow was pretty decent) Drinks were also okay to cool you off on a hot day

One of my favorite Char Kuey Teow in Penang! Their Char Kuey Teow is also probably the cleanest and healthier version. Never had any issue after eating their food. They can get really busy and they will close earlier if food sold out. Suggest go there before 1pm.

I’m not Malaysian. So, I don’t really know the real taste of mee curry. But, this is my favorite mee curry so far. I stay in malaysia for 5years, and this kedai is my fav mee curry. Really delicious~ order 2 bowl for me. Hahaha

Bee Hwa is one of the rare places that serve halal Penang food including CKT and Penang Curry Mee. I really cannot be bothered lining up for over an hour and trekking to the more reputable CKT places in town, so this will have to do. But I'd say that the CKT is quite good even though it's not cooked with the charcoal. The highlight is the curry mee with the paste just dumped on the spoon so you can mix it up and enjoy the visuals of the colour change. I've never been a huge fan of the curry mee, but this one is special. There's nothing fancy about this place, it's a hole in the wall, but some of the best food in the world is served in these kinds of places. Humble, unassuming, but awesome.

Came here for breakfast! The reviews raved mainly about their curry noodles and kway teow soup so I was really looking forward to them πŸ™‚ Penang Char Kway Teow - The wokhey of this wasn’t significant but I quite like the way it was cooked. Have preference for thin kway teow so plus points for that. Penang White Curry Noodles - This was so good, one of our top favourites. Even without chilli, the soup was already flavourful w the rich taste from the coconut milk ☺️ The chilli gave it an extra pop of taste! Penang Hokkien Noodles - My least favourite because I find the soup a bit too lacking in prawn flavour. Kway Teow Soup - This looks damn bland but was actually nicely seasoned! Surprisingly, the rest all enjoyed it and picked it as their favourite. We ordered 2 sets of each item and our total meal came up to approx. RM69 inclusive of 6 drinks! πŸ‘πŸ»

Been here, tried countless numbers of char kuey tiow but nothing beats this shop.. Price of RM8 is definitely worth it with generous portion as well prawn, crab stick as well as fried egg.. PLUS it's halal as well.. No restrictions to try this tasty meal for our Muslim friends as well..

Rhe white vurry mee is so deliciousms with lots of seafood, eggs, sotong basah, fishballs, prawns, cockles and crab meat. The chili paste is tasty with the taste of dried prawns and some secret ingredients. I recommend you to try more dishes here.

Overall clean and classic chinese kopitiam, food consider good, char kuey teow, fried rice, white curry noodle was cooked by an aunty

One of the best halal Char Koay Teow I have ever tasted. Prawn Noodles were delicious too, but curry mee was so-so. Why no 5 star? Customer service needs some improvement.

  • 4/5 Suzalinna S. 2 years ago on Google
White curry mee was delish😍with fresh prawns & silky fish balls..5 stars for the curry broth.. CKT bit overrated .. taste just as nice as any fried kueyteow.

Halal Chinese food, very yummy. Very fast service but not super friendly. There are 2 shop lots. Strict social distancing during RMCO, only 2 pax per table.

  • 4/5 Rita B. 2 years ago on Google
Loves the fried kueyteow kerang. Not too spicy & not too dry.πŸ‘ The nasi goreng and mihun soup are delicious too. Thus, it is so crowded. You have to q and wait for your table, even I came early😱
