Street parking is a big challenge around the city. Just lucky a car drove off opposite the cafe. For lunch we picked the traditional hainan chicken chop, hainan fried noodle and mushroom pie. Also, the cold rozelle beetroot to quench our thirst. The food tasted superb & truly to hainanese cooking. We enjoyed our lunch. Syabas! By the way, the prices on the website are outdated. They are much higher on the menu & above other restaurants. Seniors would be happy to know that the rest room is very clean.

Nice place to eat lunch cooked by an old couple who are good at what they do. We ordered chicken rice, chicken chop and spring roll, all done Hainanese style. πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Simple menu but great food Price is reasonable. Must try is their signature Hainanese noodles is a must so is their pork chop Part of their history is the owner used to OEM for all d bread sold in supermarkets in Penang before retiring 10 years ago and open this restaurant

Food taste and service lived uo to my high expectations as heard so many compliments of this eatery. I enjoyed the oriental chicken chop, drenched with the tasty gravy. My mum has been coming for few years for the hainanese chicken rice. She said it was always difficult to decide what to eat as several of the dishes are so good. The roselle beetroot juice was special n delicious.

Hainanese chicken chop not bad. Simple yet flavoursome. Honorable mention potato wedges. Soft and taste so good with the gravy. Spring roll is big, crunchy and delicious, especially mushroom inside it really elevate the umami of the whole dish. Dipping sauce a bit unnecessary though. Ample seats. Air-conditioned. Serving speed normal. Price slightly high.

I love the Hainanese chicken chop and double cheese Margherita pizza! The Hainanese chicken rice was ok but not the best I have had. Will prolly skip that next time. But I’ll keep coming back for the chicken chop and pizza, and try out other dishes too!

We ordered the chicken chop (hainanese and creamy mushroom), chicken shepherd's pie, mushroom soup, and spring roll. The taste for the chicken chops were nice and not too salty, the gravy consistency was just right. Mushroom soup was a little too salty but the spring roll was lovely!

Great tasting original Hainanese Chicken chop and mutton shepherd pie. Spring roll had a unique tasting dipping sauce.

I love this place, although it's tiny place but they served us very well. I incidently drop by there just to enjoy their homemade cake and sitting few minutes to relax. Next time will try their other food, that looks pretty good, such as chicken shepherd's pie. This place located in George Town, Penang area.

This is the kind of nostalgic place that brings back memories. The food, the decoration of the place, the music, the vibe….. everything feels like I was in 80’s kopitiam. Please come to this cafe if you are in Penang.

I ordered hainanese noodles - fresh from the pan and loaded with flavors - and iced matcha, which is a tad too sweet for my liking but still good.

old style Penang cafe. Homey feeling. Hainanese chicken chop 3.9/5 Not bad. Chicken chop is moist. I expect the skin to be more crispy. Chicken shepherd pie 4/5 Nice Crispy crust. The outer part is the mashed potato and the bottom is mushroom soup.

I am always back for their Hainanese πŸ” chop & also sherperd pie. It's hard to get such authentic taste elsewhere.

This place brought back the good old school western cooking. Love the classic fish and chips with eggs, pepper only on the fish. It's delicious with the homemade tartar sauce.

The food was satisfactory, but the green tea latte did not meet expectations and lacked the authentic taste of a green tea latte. Upon entering, we noticed the owner staring at us, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. There is room for improvement in the overall service, particularly with the owner's communication style, which came across as somewhat arrogant.

DELICIOUS HAINANESE FOOD! Ordered the Hainanese chicken chop, beef Shepard’s pie and fried popiah. Everything was very good! Service is also an experience. The elderly uncle and aunty will come take your order and serve your food, which will shame your Asian self to shut up about any long waiting time, rather than complain to the working elders. Would not recommend their desserts.

Don't expect good service from here. All uncles here just don't care about your request. Can try chicken chop, is nice. The cakes are so so.

While the cakes are dependent on your tastes (they are quite sweet), the pies here are phenomenal, as is the hainanese chicken chop. If you like puff pastry you should definitely stop here; the pastry here is really something amazing! They do an excellent mushroom soup as well, and there is no disappointing, tasteless topping to their sheperds pie. Overall, definitely worth a stop!

very traditional restaurant & bakery, cost slightly higher but acceptable. But money can't buy delicious and traditional food right. Worth to try, nice Hainan chicken chop

Taste authentic Hainan but price will be slightly higher. Once in the blue moon can go eat. Clean environment and got some parking spot but not many. Highly recommended their Hainan Chicken chop one of the best in town.

Best Hainanese chicken chop in town. Sherperd pie and pizza also good but prepare to wait at least 20mins. Overall reasonable price.

Decided to give this shop a try after reading various mixed reviews. Looks cute from the outside and quite cozy for catching up with friends for dinner. The chicken chop was tasty. Restaurant price. Service could be improved further, and staff should be trained to be more welcoming.

😠 Premium price tag but lousy service! There should be no star at all! I bring my family of 5 came for dessert around 8.30pm. 🫀 Overrated. Tried pork leg rice, Penang loh mee and Penang style CCF, all were subpar. Pork leg rice - Quite bland. The egg used was not even a proper lu-dan (soy egg), just a plain hard boiled egg. They did not even serve it with salted vege. Not good and not authentic. Penang loh mee - I'm a...
