We had fabulous lunch at E&O last Sunday. It was our first eat out for a long time since pandemic started. Dining room as well as outside terrace were very clean & feels absolutely safe to be there. Staff are attentive and polite yet friendly. My before lunch drinks of Mojito was the best I had ever had. Minty & hint of brown sugar sweetness was perfectly balanced. Roasted bone-in prime rib of beef was massive & everything on plate were tasty including Yorkshire pudding, crisp roasted vegetables, roasted potatoes & onion gravy. It was so massive that we couldn’t finish beef so brought leftovers home & enjoyed sandwiches next day! Our dining experiences at E&O was more than we had expected. We were so glad to be able to go back to dine in E&O. The place is as perfectly heritage as we remember. We will definitely go back again.

Amazing views, nice historical setting, great buffet! Loved our stay and can’t wait to come back again. The breakfast buffet itself was worth it! And easy access to everything else we needed to go to.

The reception staff and room service staff need some training in customer service. And some training in answering phones. Try to treat locals same as how you treat tourist. We pay using money also not leaf picked from a tree. Requested an extra bed for my son during check in nvr arrived at all.. got fed up waiting i cancelled it. Room was nice. View was fantastic. Just improve the staff attitude and every thing will be nice.

My most favourite stay in Penang. The hotel still has the old colonial touch and feeling in it. Always silent and elegant!

Usually Sat buffer lunch is less crowded than weed days, but cost rm20 more per pax.

Recommend the Victory Wing rather than the Heritage Wing. Heritage building is older - the fridge in the suite is noisy, and the walls are not soundproof. Corridor noise and adjacent rooms' noises can be heard easily. The gym, located on the 6th floor of the Victory Wing, is a lengthy walk if you are at the Heritage Wing. The facets are quite silly. You will have to turn several rounds before the water flows! Water pressure, however, is excellent! Great pool service with a nice cool drink supplied.

Amazing hotel and great value for money. Their complimentary buffet breakfast is absolutely amazing, so many choices. The hotel itself is very beautiful - we stayed at the heritage wing and felt like I was back in old times, walking through the halls of this century old hotel.

Thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay in a suite overlooking the pool and sea. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. Like the rest of the hotel, the elegant colonial design aesthetic was very attractive. The staff were without exception friendly and helpful.

I recently visited the E&O Hotel, and it made for a delightful experience. The location is fantastic, offering a captivating view of the ocean. The hotel itself is stunning, and I was fortunate to witness a beautiful wedding there today, which left me truly amazed. It's worth noting that the E&O Hotel could provide a more budget-friendly experience. Nevertheless, it's a place I look forward to revisiting one day, thanks to its charming setting and affordable pricing.

Georgetown is only minutes away. Excellent spot to have business meetings, graduation parties, weddings etc. They have a vast selections of conference halls to choose from. Look no further. Eastern & Oriental hotel is a historical building with vast history of the British colony with lush gardens. Great quiet and peaceful place to relax only hearing the ocean wakes hitting the rocks. The views of the ocean are spectacular. What I love about this place is the quietness, not hearing the bustling noise of traffic. 5 min walk to bars and restaurants.

Remember to check out the old photographs and copies of The Straits Times from 1937 and 1957. Full of history and heritage. Coffee at the lounge is really good too.

Amazing hotel with great view of the Straits of Settlement. If you are getting the room, please get the cocktail hour package to enjoy your evening.

The building is historical and the interior is stunning. You might spend some time visiting every corner of the building and you will be amazed by its interior design and the decorations.

A place with grandeur in all its corners. Established in 1885, this is an epitome of tradition. They kept the old lift (not in use anymore), a passage and its walls are decorated with historical documents, pictures and artifacts. The beautiful view of Penang sea at the back will take your breath away. It's expensive but it's worth it, if you want to travel back in time.

Truly enjoyed the stay in this scenic and marvellous hotel. Our hotel room was spacious, clean and with great seaview. The breakfast offers a wide range of selection. Above all, the hotel offers complimentary cocktail session during the evening. The welcome gift (a bottle of wine) is a pleasant surprise. Will surely recommend this hotel.

A historical hotel with many heritage. Have new wing up to 16th floor. Near the sea facing Andaman sea. Friendly staff. Have two lobby, one at the Heritage block and another one New Wing block. Breakfast E&O have 3 venue, one at Heritage, two at new building, but the variety choices at the Sarkies. Another at the Planter, level 6 with Adam and Seaview.

I stayed here twice and absolutely enjoyed my time here. The rooms are large and the service is impeccable. I really enjoyed the breakfast served here. Also, the location of the hotel is fantastic.. it's in the middle of George Town. An amazing 5 star hotel in Penang.

Spent my CNY holiday at E&O Hotel Heritage Building - 3D2N at Deluxe Suite. This is an amazing hotel! The rooms are very beautiful with colonial touch. The view is to the sea and the pool. The room has a small living room area, a bedroom and a huge bathroom. The bathroom comes with a his and her sink, rainforest shower and a bathtub. There are two pools (one in Heritage Building and another sky pool in the new building). The Heritage building pool is quieter and is great to enjoy the sun in tranquility. The hotel has multiple restaurants so you won’t get hungry. The breakfast is served in two restaurants - Palms Court and Sarkis. For the room that we got, we had a complimentary refillable gin, whiskey and vodka. As well as a complimentary cocktail hour between 6pm-7pm at one of the hotel lounges. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Everyone smiles and greets, even when passing by them. Highly recommended as it’s one of the best holiday places I’ve ever been to!

Love the retro and same time grandiose feel of the hotel. I didnt stay at the hotel but enjoyed just exploring and found so many places of interest and took lots of photos. Everyone I met from doorman to others staff of hotel made feel welcomed with a kid a smile.

3 days well spent with my wife and the 3 kids here. Everyone love this place. It's cosy heritage hotel where you see lots of historical stuffs, strategic location is a plus point and access to all the beautiful grand churches & foods. One thing could do better is to make available nearer parking lots for us staying at Old Wing. The current set up require guests to park our vehicle at New Wing and we need to walk a distance taking 2 separate lifts to reach our vehicle. Anyway, the staffs are all friendly to help and reachable 24/7.

Very well maintained heritage hotel with spectacular Andaman Sea view, carefully selected furniture and merchandise. Food served to rooms round the clock. Wide bath room equipped with all that you need. Dedicated staff with an A for Hospitality. A good place to relax and unwind your busy days.

Again one of the best classical vintage/victoria hotel feel in Penang. We went there for the famous lunch buffet, Nov 21. It was a bit disappointing for few reasons compare to before MCO. Food wise, it is only passable for the price. Services barely pass for a 5star due to their SOP vs manpower ratio. Again out of the food menu, I love the lamb slice.
