Check out the food court here with many popular stalls. Everything is self service so you'll have to carry your bowl of noodles all the way to your own table. I was there on a Sunday morning, but quite a number of stalls were not open. Many kuih stalls near the entrance. Tried the Hokkien Mee which didn't really 'wow' me. The Lum Lai Duck Meat Koay Teow Th'ng stall is popular with the locals. Long queue but clears quickly. The Chulia St Curry Mee also had a long line, but it took too long, so I gave up. Surprising find for me was a nasi lemak sold by a granny at only RM2.50. Comes with fried fish and half an egg! Good sambal too.

Went for early breakfast at 9am, ample parking and seating space. Lots of stalls open and bustling already so early in the morning. Lots of food options in the hawker stall, many different noodles to try. Would recommend the Wantan mee stall nearer to the front, the curry mee, and the duck noodles. For snacks/desserts the appom was great and also the peanut filled toasted crepe (ban chang kuih). The seating is a bit tricky because some stall donโ€™t like you overlapping and ordering other stalls food. Pricing is on the cheaper end with each small noodles at around RM 5.

A wet market and a large Foodcourt selling varieties of poultry, fish, vegetables, dry goods, beancurd, and wet market items at a reasonable price. The large food court serves Pasembur, Koay Teow Soup, Char Koay Teow, Lam Mee, Laksa, Indian Mee, Hockkien Mee, and many more. Our favorite and notable stalls are Pasembur, Pancake (Ban Chang Kuih), Kuihยฒ stall, Duck Koay Teow Soup, Char Koay Teow, Keat Poh and Koko drinks. Great place to have food and do marketing in one go. Wide range and reasonable price of fresh produce.

Food, food and more food. Must visit if youโ€™re in Penang. There is street parking but traffic is very busy. You have to purchase drinks to use the tables. Not an issue since everything was so cheap.

My favourite spot when comes to food. Many underated and locals only priving here vs those overated and expensive in Georgetown. One of my favourite is the ๐Ÿ‘ฃCKT. Have to wait atleast 15-20min here. Others equally popular is the duxk nooe with even longer que and the curry mee. I still prefer the CKT. Yet to try the curry mee

There a lot of stalls here sell different kind of local food. Just you need to queue to order and bring to your one table. Environment is accepted, not hot. Some food I ordered may not taste good but never try never know. Definitely will come back here again to try other foods๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

A great food court to have local food here with reasonable price and lots of options for breakfast or brunch. Must try: Duck Meat Koay Teow Th'ng - difficult to miss it as it has a very long queue but is quite fast! Barefoot CKT and Penang Curry noodles. Pasembur, the ingredients are pretty standard, but the sauce is tasty. The rest of the food is not outstanding but it wasn't bad at all, nothing to shout about. Fried carrot cake can give it a skip.

Still one of the best place to have breakfast. Prices are reasonable and the quality is one of the best. We had the charcoal fried kuih teow. Absolutely hits the spot. Not too oily and with the "wok hei". Just nice. The Hokkien mee/prawn mee was so clear and fresh. There is two stall of local kuih. The one we normally patronise is the sisters stall. Loads of local kuih. You can never get bored as there are so many stalls.

220921 This is a must come if you would like to have what a Penangites had when they are back to Penang. Kuet tiao t'ng ( kueh tiao soup) may it be traditional pork or duck version, both are great. The kopi o or local call it just O or O ping for kopi o ping is good, any drinks stall wont disappoint you. Just look at what we ordered, we = me and my 2 gals. Definitely a MUST go place for breakfast. Will definitely keep coming back for more.

Went to the market twice, had tried the recommend food like the Char Keow Tiao, you can choose Chicken or duck egg. We choose duck as the fragrant is stronger. Tried the pasembur, is nice and refreshing, like the crunchy texture. The wanton mee also nice, but is long Q. The prawn noodles also suprisingly good to me. Lots of choice for the nyonya kuih. Duck keow tiao soup and laksa also nice. My friend prefer this coffee stall.

As you walk in from the other end where the wet market is, there's 1 nice roast pork store but only available in the evening. We tried the one that opens during the daytime. Other than that, we, of course, got ourselves with passembur (rojak) - really nice you got to take your own from the store & start eating or else it turns watery; walk slightly further down after the rojak store you will see a store selling local kuih and do pick anything you want to eat. They all taste really authentic. It makes me feel like home, not too sweet. This place is apparently also famous for assam laksa but I missed it ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

Having breakfast here, unlucky alot stalls close due to jiu huang ye etc, and the bad thing, limited space and messy of arrangement. Need to order only can sit the table infront, the food ordered not bad.

Loved this place!! Everything was delicious and super affordable. A bit of a struggle to find seats but the taste of the food made for it. Perfectly cooked and well seasoned, all made fresh to order RM 5.50 for won ton noodles minus the won ton and char siu RM 4.50 for char koay kak RM 2.20 for the sugar cane

Tried 4 dishes at this food market. Duck meat koay teow th'ng by ๅ—ไพ† - Absolutely delicious. The broth was smooth and savoury, while the meat is generous, lean and thin. (RM6.50) Parsembur ้ฎฎ้ญš - Another top notched dish, it's sort of like a salad, with a mixed of fresh radish (i think) and fried fritters with a generous amount of the house gravy. Amazing combination. (RM 6) Ah Kent Char Kway Teow - The wait was rather long for this, but definitely worth it. With the uncle intensively stir frying the noodles over charcoal fire, the result was a perfect combination of charred noodles with 2 fresh prawns, 2 thin slices of lup cheong, eggs and a couple of golden lard cubes. Absolutely sedap with just the right level of saltiness and sweetness. (RM 7) Jawa Noodles - Disappointing for the price point. The seller was hard selling ingredients and the end result was a mediocre dish. Honestly, nothing special. (RM 12 - with prawns and charsiu)

Went on a Saturday morning, gotten a table for 4 fairly quickly. Plenty of food to choose from. Go for the usual suspect, the popular ones to be safe. Had the duck kway tiao soup, had the lor bak, fried kway tiao. Can try the CCF with the prawn paste sauce, something interesting Can probably skip the popiah and overly fried you tiao. Prices are on the affordable side as it serves the local more.

The famous barefoot kuey teow not yummy, roasted pork rate 1 star, queue up for long but food not even up to min standard. For the duck noodle soup and the herbal tea, must try totally worth to wait. So good! Rojak for me is a fair rate. Not so bad but donโ€™t have the wow effects.

The local food here are superb with a special shout out to the lady in red who runs one of the 2 nonya kueh stalls there. As I approached the stall, she was serving an old lady who chose 3 pieces of cakes. Old lady asked in hokkien, how much? Lady boss, replied, โ€œๅ…้’ฑ, ๆˆ‘่ฏทไฝ ๅƒ๏ผŒๅฅฝๅ—๏ผŸโ€œ (donโ€™t need money, my treat, ok?) in hokkien, and gave it to her. I was likeโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ This place is filled w loveโ€ฆ Bought quite a few kueh from her but only managed to take 2 pics. That said, the kueh are superb with traditional taste.

located at Weld Quay, George Town, Penang and is 21 kilometres away from Lexis Suites Penang. It is the biggest of the waterfront settlements in Georgetown and was part of the Clan Jetties Penang settling at the southern section of Weld Quay. Things to do: โœ… Buy affordable souvenirs โœ… Take photo with street art paintings โœ… Take a rest and buy the famous mango snow ice โœ… See the shuttle and cargo services

Was recommended to come here for breakfast by our hotel concierge for a good variety of Penang hawker fare. Amongst the dishes that we enjoyed were the duck kway teow soup, char kway teow, roast pork (from the market) and the chee cheong fan. Unfortunately the nonya kueh we bought (stall on the right when facing the market) wasnโ€™t really nice and we didnโ€™t end up eating much of it. Likewise, the youtiao and ham chim peng was too oily and cold so Iโ€™d skip that too

Went for the Koay Teow Thng. The Koay Teow is thin and nice. Delicious. Also had nice Pasembur. Place is not crowded at that time so nice. Did not like the coffee though.
