Tucked away in between a florist and a child tuition center sits this small restaurant that seems to be an extension of an existing building. There's about enough space for 6 cars right in front of the driveway in front of the shop. Otherwise you can park across the road or nearby. The dining area is a simple layout along this long shoplot. The kitchen is right at the back behind the counter. Tables are spaciously placed along the walls on both sides and you can be sure you're either near a wall fan or an air conditioner. The menu is not extensive, but they do highlight specials on a small blackboard which are not on the menu. The very friendly and helpful boss lady will gladly help explain the dishes and recommend. I ordered the cereal chicken, kung po mantis prawns, kangkong sambal, taufoo with minced pork and marmite chicken. Portions were adequate, and had a home cooked feel to each dish. It made me want to come back again to try the other dishes before actually start recommending which dish to go for. Price wise was really inexpensive. The five dishes I had with 3 rice and drinks came up to around RM90 only. And it fed the 4 of us well. It's not on the radar of outstation visitors and seems to be only known to Penangites. I hope it stays that way, as this local gem is too good to be commercialised!

The place looks nice and clean. The food was delicious (We had the salted egg chicken set) that was 8rm each. Good price and a decent size meal. Very friendly lady serving us too.

Butter prawn was wonderfully presented and cooked. Perfect combination with green. Very addictive. WOW. 5 stars Bittergourd could be perfectly as snack for movie time. Fantastic taste, crunchy and no bitter taste. 4 stars Seaweed soup was delicious, great compliment to all dishes ordered. 4 stars 4 vege almond was special. Stir fried to perfection. At about RM16 was value for money. 4 stars Star of the night was the steam fish with special soy sauce. I had a perception of whole fish steaming gave a perfect taste. Never will i think of fish slices could taste so well. Highly addictive. WOW. 5 stars Total bill with drinks about RM88. Value for money. Ambience also relax and good. Got 4 parking lot in front of the shop so not an issue

It was the first time we went to this restaurant. We heard the head chef is a Michelin star-level chef, so we wanted to try. The food we ordered was perfect. Not too salty or sweet, just very flavourful. We ordered the salted egg prawns, salted egg veggies, Taiwan three pot chicken, soup, veggies and drink. Conclusion: we will be back to try the other delicious dishes we missed this round. Owner is very friendly, by the way.

So glad this jewel of a restaurant is open for sit in dinning again. I ordered their flag ship dish chilli crabs and it blew me away. The taste was super delicious. I also wish to recommend their new dish- Chinese dried reddish fried Hor Fun. It is the best Hor Fun with a slight twist to the regular type. Highly recommended. Not to be missed is their prawn balls too. The bonus is the outstanding food but reasonably price that will not hit your wallet hard. A wow factor! Bon appetit!

Their portions are quite big, and the prices are very reasonable. but taste wise feels a bit lacking. The pai kut ong is dry, and the indonesian prawns were more like regular curry prawns... It's a good place with great service, just that they have tight competition along the road

Friendly staff and well-seasoned seafood just off Burma Road. There's a few parking spaces right in front of the place (a good six or so), which is more than most along this stretch, but you'll have to shift if the inside patrons finish before you. Food is superbly tasty and nicely cooked - the char hor fun is outstanding with just the right amount of char and wok burn and sauce proportion; the yolk fried prawns are tender and crispy; the salt and pepper are overpowering. Oh yeah, it's a little on the salty peppery side, hence well seasoned. To be fair, you're getting a big dose of cholesterol, so what's a little extra salt and pepper right? Perhaps it might be worth exploring balancing the salt and pepper and spice with a little citric tang or something to cut the oil and heavy gravy. Pricing is decent - that massive bowl of Char Hor Fun is less than RM10! Great value, nice service and a hearty warmth.

we ordered 2 dishes and it was already filling. i love how they cooked the string beans. the pork in special sauce was not bad too for the price. it’s good for big families as the place is big , servings are big and affordable. service is fast and good. also, love the longgan. i just don’t like the parking, as less parking spots.

This is definitely an old restaurant, the owner runs it with her family, there is a bit miss understanding on the language when I order beans with garlic, they served me something else but it was very delicious I dont know what it is , also order spareribs with special sauce, it was very good thats how I describe it, service is super fast, a very good experience I will most definitely coming back again in the future

😠 I reached at around 2:30pm and still need to queue till 3:00 pm. Disappointed with the food because the deep fried fish roe and fish are hard rather than crispy. The gravy is also so so only.

👍 Queue seemed quite long when we arrived around 2.30 pm but we only waited about 20 minutes. I think they should have more signage to tell customers what to do so the process can be easier. There was only one waiter upstairs in the seating area so it was quite difficult to get his attention. Food is...
