Beautiful but very uncomfortable place. Old Chinese house neatly decorated but the "rooms", which are just a bed guarded by an enormous metal door, are not comfortable neither practical. It was a pain even to put the lights on because they were on the other end of the room. The bathrooms were not very clean and the towels looked like 100 years old and had stains on them. There are only two bathrooms, one for girls and one for boys so expect to wait for a shower.

Quiet and relaxed place. Great location, peaceful area of the old town with just a few minutes walk from the center. The building is old with lots of wood; very comfy. Staff is easy going. Many guests stay long term, feels like one big family. I keep coming back whenever I am in Malaysia. Definitely recommend it!

T!his is a home with so mutch positive feeling and space. Rooms are small but clean. But there is SO many other places to hang out. Roof with sun and tables, garden were u can cook for FREE. 200 years old chinese palace with great design. Surish is the best host ive had. Ppl always come back for a reason. Location is fab

If you want to stay bit longer on Penang, this is your place... 200 years old heritage house, has museum downstairs and place for yoga and relax on top floor. More like community with round table... Have only few rooms, so book early enough. If you stop for a one night, there is other places more suitable for 1 night stay... Cintra is more like community with self-service...

Just fantastic place to stay in the center of Georgetown. Historic place 200 years with a real good atmosphere And the price for a room is amazing with free breakfast and coffee or tea all day and laundry free too THE PLACE TO BE IN GEORGETOWN

Original guesthouse in old traditional house. Clean and confy bed. Loved the wooden furniture and yellow tempered windows. Plenty of restaurants and food stall around as you can expect staying in Chinatown. Perfect for chilling out in your stay in Penang. Kind and helpful staff.

Beautiful house but deteriorated, it has an amazing location, in the center of Georgetown. The staff is really nice. Bad internet connection. The bathroom could be cleaner but the worst thing was finding bed bugs.

Very unique place right in the city. This place has a special interier with a rich history I really enjoyed. Also the staff is awesome.
