Really good hostel with a room big enough. 2 problems : the fan (on the roof) is not super powerfull and the room has a little window without mosquito net. The staff is welcoming and friendly, keen to help you during your trip. You can buy some drinks at the reception and the prices are corrects (little cheaper than a 7eleven!). The wifi works well. It s close to Chinatown and little India with restaurants all around.

Fantastic location, very close to the Red Garden food court and in a very nice, kind of hipster area. There is a laundry on the same street and you are in walking distance to lots of cheap street food. We were surprised to pay only 45rm for a double room with a sink and a fan AND access to a hot shower! The reviews saying the staff are very friendly are true- they make you feel very welcome and are helpful as well. If you are thinking of going air con free, it is a very cool building so you will probably find you don’t need the ac anyway. Very clean as well.

In the March of 2014 it was just after refurbishment and it was the cleanest place I had stayed within 9 month of travelling in South-East Asia. The dormitory beds for 15-16 RM is a very good price for this place in this location. The bad thing is that they didn't have lockers and no way to leave valuables at the reception, even for money. :(

Friendly staff and a good location are the ups for this one. Please expect a very basic accommodation in the heart of Chinatown. It is clean, room has a bed and the typical toilet/ shower combo. The free wifi is good and the patio offers some leisure time during the common rainshowers.

room with fan is very hot, Service was very slow as old peopels working there and asked come back hotelbefore 2am (receptionist want to sleep), Also soap not provided in room (so funny), Dorm room also hot and no air conditioning also mosquito ,

Never stayed here but been there a few times just to sit down in peace and quiet and have a big beer at 17myr. Sometimes I got to chat a bit with the caretaker on duty or some of the other guests just kicking back in the evening. Help yourself to the cold ones in the fridge and pay up, then settle back with a book or your handheld device or chit chat with others.

Great place for budget backpackers. Quite environment, very welcoming staff and reasonabke prices. Double rooms where huge and a sink is provided, and for some little extra charge you can get AC which helps you sleep like a baby on hot days. Would. Definitely return. Shared bathrooms are very clean too.

I will Never Never Forget Mr Loh or Mr Arn the owner, It’s me Mark Thomas, from 1999/2004, had the back room last one down stairs last on the right next to wash room, next door too with my Indonesian wife and Baby now 17: Royal stout beer up late sat with Mr Loh ,20 Rm back then own room shared bathroom, great atmosphere good food , When I return I will ask for the managers Job

I arrived Georgetown at 5am. Most places were closed. I arrived at 75 at 6am and the smiling receptionist immediately got me a room. Clean, private toilet, air conditioning and reliable WiFi for RM62. They also helped me out with booking a ferry tix to Langkawi. Definitely coming back.

have been comming here happily for years, totay (saterday) my shoes "DISAPPEARED" (diplomatic word) from the shower door ,staff was informed & reacted rather cool "oh only shoes not expensive" perhaps not his slippers, mine where quite new 56 ringit. I Wasn't happy about that and ask to see the cctv ,answer only the boss can. And is not reachable at the weekend, this was confirmed by the staff from star lodge ( same owner) so the criminals staying at the guesthouse are rewarded. bad luck for me hard working honest succer walking in 15 ringit shoes now.
