It's a great place to unwind by the strait while enjoying the view in the city. On clear days, one can clearly see Gunung Jerai in Kedah as well as Bukit Mertajam in Mainland Penang (Seberang Perai). There are a lot of hawker stalls here at the Renong Cood Court but can be quite busy on weekends and school holidays. As of August 2023, the esplanade is still under upgrading project, so the parking spots can be quite limited as well as places for visitors to sit and relax.

The Esplanade Walkway is the latest addition to the beautiful waterfront. When walking at this lower terrace, one can feel the tide coming in. Great place to visit...besides Padang Kota, Fort Cornwallis...and the nearby FoodCourt to serve one's thirst or hunger.

Good weather and good views here, they have several benches which allows you to sit and enjoy the great views But little shelter here, nearby thereā€™s some government buildings and also there is the nearby harbour Not a busy place especially on a weekday so itā€™s great for photos

Nice place for a walk. One can do a picnic at the Padang nearby. Few local malay restaurants around.

TheĀ EsplanadeĀ is a waterfront location in the heart ofĀ George Town,Ā Penang,Ā Malaysia. It covers the field adjacent toĀ Fort Cornwallis, known locally as theĀ Padang, and the seaside promenade along the edge of the field. TheĀ Penang City HallĀ faces theĀ PadangĀ and theĀ CenotaphĀ of Penang is also located along the promenade.

You guys should try Link Bike Apps and round the area with the bike. Only RM3 per day and it's free for the first 30 minute! Nice view but it was super hot today. Don't forget to keep hydrated! ā¤ļø

Good view of the sea and skyline. It was breezy and cool which was not the usual balmy weather that greets occasional visitors.

šŸ‘šŸ‘ Beneath the golden hues of twilight's embrace, I wander the Esplanade, a tranquil space. Amidst the laughter of locals and tourists near, Nature's symphony and history's whispers I hear. The gentle breeze dances through ancient trees, Whispering tales carried on the evening breeze. As I stroll past...
