Situated in the heart of George Acorn Guesthouse is one of the best places I’ve stayed at. It is close to all restaurants, shops and clubs. The staff is very professional and friendly and the rooms are clean. It is everything you need. I will definitely stay here again.

You simply dont get better than this Guesthouse anywhere else in George. Will keep coming back. Staff + smiles + rooms + locations!!!

The room was a disappointment. Advertised as a Queen room - was very small and had a double bed (not a queen). In the middle of summer - the room had no air-con or a fan. Very noisy. Room was only cleaned after 2pm. Over priced for what you received.

A beautiful guesthouse in a central location - easy to access most of the central town by foot from there. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is different each morning and delicious. They have a pool that you can cool down in on the hot days. Its located next to a big, historical church and from my room I could hear the church bell every 30 minutes. Its not a terrible distraction, but if you can't sleep for whatever reason, the church bell will be a further distraction :) . This is not a reason to not book with Acorn, as I recommend that you do - perhaps just ask for one of the rooms at the back of the main house.

Beyond great service

Long story short. Very unhelpful staff. Beds weren't made. And wouldn't give us bedding. Not cool. 😂 So it's a no no from me. Won't go back.

I was there for only one night but was very happy with the beautiful and clean room i was booked into. The gueathouse is close to restaurants and shops which are all within walking distance. As i had to leave early the next morning staff was more than willing to pack me a breakfast pack which was also better than a lot of previous guesthouses/hotels' breakfast packs. I would definately stay there again when i go to George in future.

It's always a pleasure staying at Acorn Guest House. Friendly staff and excellent sevice. Visited again after 2years and the welcome back card and Turkish delights was a lovely touch. Will definitely be back!

To date, this is the finest establishment in George that I have had the pleasure of staying at. Situated directly over the road from the Mother Church, and with the bell tolling every 15 minutes, one can only imagine how much sleep I had the first night. Imagine my surprise when I found a set of ear-plugs in a vanity case, along with complimentary essentials. Very impressed with the professional manner in which the establishment is run.

I stayed here twice in the last month and am convinced that this guest house serves the best breakfast in town! The rooms are well appointed and exceptionally clean. This guest house is great for those traveling for work. The staff is super friendly and I just love the decor! 10 out of 10.
