This is an absolutely beautiful place. Its peacefull and the hosts are so friendly. The accommodation has everything you need and more. The surroundings and gardens are done wonderfully. The view to the lake with the fish eagles circling all the time is astonishing.

We visited Beside Still Waters in January this year, from 12-15, for a weekend. We are from Holland and we were visiting SA for a few weeks. We were with our family of 8 persons. We booked 2 appartments, the Upper Room and the Cottage. We had such a lovely time. Stefaan and Ronelle let us feel at home with personal attention. They gave us tips for things to do or to see. As a welcome gift we received some homemade rusks. We could use the washing machine (even when Ronelle herself couldn’t use her washing lines during the whole weekend because of our loads of laundry). Stefaan offered us an umbrelle, chairs and a cooler to take to the beach. We had breakfast on Sunday, which was fresh and delicious (Ronelle, can you send me the recepy of the delicious quiches?) and because that day one of us did celebrate her birthday, we were treated with a bottle of champagne. I enjoyed my 5 month stay in the loft at beside still waters. It is a short drive on a gravel road just off the N2. Waking up to the most beautiful sunrises and the call of the fish eagles were a delight. Close to wilderness and sedgefield shops and a 5 min drive to kleinkrantz beach.

Lovely people, lovely view, lovely stay. We stayed in the Loft for ten days and it was wonderful. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, pretty and clean. The sea is a mere 5min drive away.

Beautiful place. Unfortunately we were not able to meet the owners the were very friendly via email. The only problem we experience was that the stove didn't want to work the morning we were about to leave. We were so disappointed yet in a rush we just left without mentioning it.

Wonderful & very comfortable accommodation. Lovely hosts. We enjoyed the view of the lake, garden & birds.

Beautiful, tranquil setting with large garden. Quiet area, short distance on gravel road. Highlight was having morning coffee on the spacious wooden deck. Child friendly and nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. Will definitely return.
