Tequila Moon is literally and figuratively heaven! The views of the lake, bird life and mountains are so beautiful. The establishment offers a truly comfortable stay with good beds, good pillows, white crisp linen, good coffee in a jar, variety of teas, lovely wine glasses, microwave, bar fridge and even a little bottle of fresh milk...no hotel goodies which I find very personalised. The bathroom in our unit has a free standing bath and a large rain shower. Personal touches made with handmade bath salt, gorgeous candles and crisp white towels. Tequila Moon B&B overall for me was a disappointment. It is advertised as a romantic place with beautiful views of the lake. I think it is easier to start with the Positives and Negatives. The Positives is that the view is very spectacular. The room was comfortable, with a good bed, a spacious bathroom, and a small catering place. The Negatives were overall do not expect any modern amenities except a microwave, small bar fridge, and Kettle. There is no TV, no Wi-Fi, and no heating either as a heater or an electric blanket. There is also no provision such as a light for when load-shedding begs only candles and matches. The Spectacular view although good attracts many mosquitos, so to really enjoy the view you wave to close the sliding doors and watch through the windows. The toilet is not private it is open in the bathroom and even can be seen from the Kitchenette. For me, toilet privacy is a must. Finally, despite a big shower with a deep basin, you would have thought they would have allowed it to be plugged in to allow a romantic bath, but no sadly it can only be used as a shower. Despite good furnishing with a good view, I would describe it as minimalistic. It is not wheelchair friendly or for the elderly as steep steps need to be climbed up and down to get to the rooms. Note as a closer, this is situated in an area that does not deliver foods like Uber, so you either must eat out or bring your microwaveable food along to eat.

Our stay at Tequila Moon was amazing! My fiancé and I stayed in the king room and the view could not get any better. The doors fully open to give you complete view of mountains and island lake..an not to mention spectacular sunrises! The room is clean and well kept with all the necessities so you can easily enjoy your stay and not have to fret about plates/wine glasses/coffee/blankets etc. The owners were exceptionally friendly and people you want to get to know! It shows that they care about your stay and also care to get to know you! We will definitely return to Tequila Moon for an epic stay with a cozy vibe and great views!

Tequila Moon has the best view over looking beautiful wilderness, the room was decorated and very modern. The place is very comfortable and intimate. The Shower overlooks wilderness. Would recommend Tequila Moon to anybody wanting to have a romantic getaway with a loved one.

Absolutely amazing accomodation. Incredible view and so peaceful. Awesome cosy room. Feels like a luxurious home. Definitely found our stop over place for sure. Will recommend many times over.

Amazing tranquil, and owner very welcoming . Arranged early check-in, and Special arrangements for my daughter to teach her yoga class on line. The view is amazing, the rooms spacious with earthy feeling. Definitely will suggest a longer stay

Very lovely place with a beautiful view in a quiet environment (still close to the shop and restaurants). Owners are very friendly. This was the best place of all the placed were we stayed in our 5 weeks holiday.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tequila Moon. The appartement is beautifully designed with love for detail and very clean. You have a priceless view on the lake from the apartment, the outside sitting area and the pool as well. The location of the guesthouse is quite central at the garden route, so you can visit a lot of surrounding places where a variaty of activities are possible. The owners of the guesthouse are a lovely and very helpful couple I. would absolutely recommend the place!
