Amazing food. Classy vibe. Excellent customer service

So there we were trying to decide where to go for dinner. We picked the Hussar because their food is always okay. Boy were we in for a surprise. The steaks were mouthwateringly tender. Cooked to perfection and the Moutarde sauce was amazing. The fish was soo good, the onions were crunchy and not greasy. Definitely a place to go again. The only slight downside was that the service was a bit slow.

Went there on tuesday night for their Date Night Special. Food and atmosphere was out of this world. Service from the waiters was the best trained personnel I had experienced in a long time. Also very friendly and efficient. Lots of seating. Highly recommended.

I recently dined at the Hussar Grill restaurant and overall, it was a delightful experience. The food was lovely, with flavours that were well-balanced and dishes that were beautifully presented. However, I would have preferred if they added a touch more salt to enhance the flavours. On a positive note, the dessert was absolutely delightful, a perfect ending to the meal. The restaurant itself is stunning, with its beautiful decor and inviting ambiance. I would also like to extend my thanks to Encolene for providing excellent service throughout our visit.

Fantastic restaurant. Lovely atmosphere, warm and friendly service. Sharon was very attentive and helpful. Not only steaks on the menu, also other dishes like chicken. Excellent wine list. And our steaks were really awesome. Highly recommend, thanks.

Update to my review. Do understand every 60 days I have visited this amazing restaurant and have had good food. Tonight it started off with a draught that for my first time of my career in drinking beer that it smelt like " fart" and i was told the kegs have been changed. To my surprise I actually googled it and found that there has been complaints from beer smelling due to yeasts settling etc. Beer was exchanged for a glass bottle which was perfect . Then my steak I ordered a T bone medium. I ate into it, to find it too much on the raw side. Taken back to have it done medium but reheating it caused it to be very tough. During all this our waitress was too busy with the amount of tables she had to serve and forgot to bring our plate of olives etc. I decided to call for the bill and avoid the free dessert offered. In less than 1hr I had a fine dining supper ! Not happy at all. The manageress on duty did apologise and addressed the bill accordingly. My complaint here is I have been to this establishment for many occasions which they keep record of. How to keep the recurring client happy.

Very nice experience. We had the kingklip tremedour - very tasty but very rich for a meal. Ostrich fillet - a top choice Lamb shank and mash was a top choice would highly recommend. Had the baked cheese cake also of the best we have had a top choice. Very good choice for meat. Not kids friendly Best for a date night or couples.

We didn't have a reservation, unaware of the restaurant's popularity, but our waiter skillfully accommodated us, fitting us in before a reservation in 2 hours. The classy ambiance and exceptional service surpassed our experiences in Johannesburg. The ribs were delicious, beautifully presented, and accompanied by crispy chips. A memorable holiday experience, prompting us to revisit.

We booked a table on recommendation from a friend and we are so glad we went. The service was good. The atmosphere was pleasant but the star of the show was the food. We had traditional boerewors to start which was delicious. Then for mains we had fillet steak on the bone ( medium rare ) with veg and the game of the day was fillet of kudu (rare) with chips. Both mains were exceptional, infact my husband has stated the kudu is potentially the best cut of meat he has ever had. For us British people the price of the meal plus drinks was incredibly cheap compared to what we would pay back at home ( for 2 starters, 2 mains with extra sides and 4 drinks we paid less than £50 ) We would highly recommend

My experience was beautiful at Hussar Grill. The staff are very knowledgeable and kind, and very respectful too. Our waitress was Sharon and she was an absolute star. The food was delicious. I ordered a steak with garlic sauce and spinach + pumpkin as a side. Absolutely divine. Very grateful I got to celebrate my 21st with my parents at this restaurant.

Friendly staff, good service, very professional. I went for the date night special which is great value for money. Food is delicious, but unfortunately my steak was burned on the outside, almost seemed like it was grilled on direct fire for too long, had a burned taste especially on the edges. I would still recommend Hassar Grill George, as I believe this is not how they normally grill steaks.

Upon arrival we experienced great hospitality, the place was full and we were accomodated without a reservation 👌🏾. Quality service, great food, good wine Compliments to the Chef 👨‍🍳. The steaks were perfect.

We had friendly, competent service. Place is clean with lovely background music that's not too loud. Ntombi was the best ever host/waitress, making sure at all time that we were good and satisfied. She knew the menu well and treated us as if we were the only people in the world. We had an enjoyable time and will definitely return. We can highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to be treated like royalty with the best food. Many thanks😊

An overall good experience. The ambience is great and so is the service. Other people in our group had steaks which were very good. I, on the other hand, had the pork belly which was not that great, the sauce was somewhat overpowering, but that might only be my personal taste.

The food was super delicious also the house wine. Our waitress Eudene was extraordinary friendly and has given us really good advice in terms of wine paring for the food and also answered us all the questions we had about the food (beef). The atmosphere in the restaurant was cosy and classy - perfect for a date night :-)

Fantastic place for great food. The steaks and pork belly were cooked to perfection: succulent and flavourful. The sides are a decent portion and also well cooked. Service is warm and friendly, with attentive staff to your needs. The seats are comfortable and the restaurant has a formal but homely feel. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious food at the Hussar grill. All 5 steaks were done perfectly as we wanted them grilled. The sides were tasty and the desserts were well plated and delicious as well. Our server was very friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. I just thought the atmosphere was lacking a bit.

What an amazing place! Fine-dining, relaxing and super friendly service. Their food is amazing and their service is quick. On tuesdays they have a 'date night' couple's menu. Various options are available on a special. Highly recommend!:)

Good service, a pleasant atmosphere (although all the boxes and empty bottles stacked on top of the shelves is a bit odd) and tasty food on offer. We had a cozy and pleasant experience on a miserable, wet winter's day. This will probably become a regular stop on our Garden Route visits.
