Very fun activity to do while waiting for your food and chatting about!🙏🏻 just do not go when it is busy, then the paint may be used up or you wait super long just for 1 milkshake - even though you have asked 4 different waiters🙈. I went 3 weeks later when it was not too busy and they are definitely short staffed. Had to wait a lot for service and for the bill. But the crafting was once again fun and their Avo and Ciabatta is amazing😍

A popular eating place in George, the food is good and freshly made & the waiters are super friendly and very helpful. We like to support this well run business and the setting in the garden is very nice. The entrance to the pottery shop is in the gardens of the restaurant, however there is a door to the shop from the road to.

A very hip, tranquil place with indoor and outdoor seating. You can paint pottery at your table while enjoying great food and beverages. We had the Potters pizza. It came with garlic oil and pepper oil on the side. These and the pizza were delicious. The spiced G&T and the floral G&T were both delicious and refreshing. They were setting up for a local art event while we were there so definitely connected with the community.

LOVE this cafe!! They are helpful, accommodating and best of all have Vegan options and are environmentally conscious !

Love this little escape. Food is awesome, and waiters are friendly. Only place I know of in George with fresh salads 🥗. Can wait a while for service in peak hours, but relax and enjoy, it's worth it. Bonus, there is smoking area!

The chips are really delicious and so moreish 🤩. The Caramel Latte which I had was very tasty 🤩. The Pottery has a very chilled vibe and the staff are friendly 😄. One of my favourite restaurants in George 😎

Absolutely no service. It wasn’t even busy we had to cancel our order because they took longer than 40 minutes to bring out one pizza. I work as waiter and I know the industry. Waiter visited our table 3 times in the 4 hours we were there last night. Very cool place for aesthetics and pink lighting pictures for Instagram. Otherwise. Thumbs down.

Great coffee and they also have an extensive menu. Lovely family venue for kiddies & fur-babies with lotsa activities. Great food and you can get the tastiest pizza in town for a very good price! They have a great vibe and kind, helpful staff!

Best atmosphere of any restaurant in George. Great cosy vibe to get together. We love to come here for their Thursday night pizza special. I just find their service to be bit slower than expected, particularly when they are busy.

Best chicken wrap I’ve ever had. It took a while but was worth the wait, which was maybe on account of there being quite a few families with kids on the last day of the school holidays. The restaurant is clearly popular with parents of kids, there’s a very cool looking, safe play area. But with plenty of more private spaces as well, it appears to be a decent spot to have an excellent coffee and cake or a more substantial meal while working remotely. I’ll definitely return.

Went for first Thursday and what a vibe. Nice garden table. Super friendly staff. Nice music. Opportunities to paint and play with clay while looking at art and listening to a DJ. Only downside is not staying longer. Absolutely recommended for creative souls looking for inspiration and something different

If you painted your cup or plate it takes a week until you get it back but over all it is an amazing place!!!

We hosted my best friend’s kitchen tea here and had the most amazing service. Our waiter, Hugo, went above and beyond to make sure we were very well looked after and even helped get our painted items a bit sooner as many of us came from all around SA and wanted to take them back home with us. The food and drinks were also delicious! Would highly recommend this spot, and Hugo in particular!

Good vibes only! This is a great spot, with amazing staff, super tasty food, and beautiful scenery. Some nights they’ll have live music, and most nights there will be a special of some sort for every kind of visitor’s pleasure. This spot is also very child-friendly, with a safe and well built playing area. Bring your parents for brunch, your kids for lunch, your clients for a coffee, and your friends for drinks. Good vibes, always.

Amazing place if you want to have your kids properly entertained for a few hours. The painting of the pottery is a great way to spend quality time with the kids and the play area is really nice. Good food is obviously a bonus too! Highly recommended

What a unique experience - sitting in the tranquil garden having coffee and painting, the best relaxation after a busy and hectic week. This is one of my favourite activities to do with my sister❤️. If I could add one note - I tried contacting you on multiple platforms as I live outside of South Africa, and wanted to organise a special surprise for my sister during my visit earlier in February. It has been a month and I still haven't received any response which is sad - 😢

We had 2 different types of vegetarian pizzas. They were absolutely delicious. They use free range eggs and chicken in their products and have items that vegetarian people can choose. Will definitely support them in future... can't wait to try their cake.

Do yourself a favor and stop here. This is sooo relaxing just to paint your own design on a mug plate you name it and not expensive at all. The food vibes, and everything is just relaxing. it's something new

I absolutely LOVE the pottery, if not more than my children did. The atmosphere is wonderful with a bohemian themed layout, with hanging plants hanging from the ceilings. The children enjoyed picking out their pottery to paint and they were entertained the entire time painting their piece. I loved the fact that many adults were painting projects too. The pottery has a live band in the evenings- definitely the yummiest pizza's too. I highly recommend the POTTERY!

Such a gem, set in a beautiful garden with ample space for the little ones to run around.

Didn’t even make it in. We had some car guard acting as a doorman who put up his hand for us to wait then disappeared and acted as a car guard walking around the parking. No communication about whether it was full or what to do. We eventually walked in because we were confused but no one helped us or said anything.

Traveling on Valentine's Day and most places near us were booked The wonderful people at The Pottery welcomed us without a reservation. We had some fabulous pizza and they also included us in their Valentine specials. A wonderful dessert which was very yummy and a beautiful piece of pottery that they had for their guests that evening! Best overall customer service I have seen in a long time!

The Pottery has a lovely vibe. It's got a pretty garden and lovely food on the menu. Their vegan range is delicious and their pizzas are great!

The service is non existent, the waiter brought our pizza without side plates and we asked for garlic and chilli. We saw the waiter go in and stand and chat at the bar and I had to go get the condiments and plates myself. Ordered a waffel and after about 25 min we asked the waiter about where it is and he came back and said they just put the waffel in the iron. We had friends join our table and asked the waiter to come and he took about 15 min before he even came to get our orders. We cancelled our orders and won’t be going back. Very sad because it’s an amazing setting and could be great if the waiters were better
