*****EDIT ****.....absolutely shocking!!!! The manager Rodger is so unhelpful, after being in contact with Trevor and being offered a grand total of R100 off my next order I get kept waiting 3weeks for it to be loaded on the system, this place is absolutely pathetic they can keep their discount!! Word of mouth is an amazing thing.......They keep messing up the orders, it's a pity this is the only Steers in Knysna. I wont go back in a hurry. They give so few chips in a large order of chips, the chips look like they are a few days old.....not good at all.

Shocking service. And gross incompetence. Waited over 45 min for some chips. While I was ordering and paying (card machine failed 5 times) I noticed no chips in the warmer. So I asked if someone was going to get started on the chips so long. The cashier just laughed at me! Only after they had my money did they put in a batch of chips. When I mentioned this to the very uninterested manager all I got was, aggh sorry man. Pathetic, I would be embarrassed if any of my establishments where run like this.

No gloves when preparing the food. The lady taking the orders claimed that she has been working there for many years and do not wear gloves. I complained about the staff preparing the food wearing no gloves. After touching her face and then wanting to prepare a meal. I can cancelled my order & walked out. This is the worst steers experience. The attitude and service! Also masks were not worn over nose and some had no masks at all. I’ll never go there. Sad as this is the only steers in Knysna! Update: No reply & no call back after I left my details.

Waited for 45 minutes for two burgers. The cashier did not seem to be interested as she was just busy on the phone for take away orders ignoring all the customers patiently waiting in line in front of her. Steers Knysna.... Could you please let me know if there is a manager managing anything in this restaurant? Your staff need a proper customer service training. I will never spend my money again in steers Knysna. Please respect your customers if you want to repeat business. Which is not the case at the moment.... unfortunately.

Very upset and disappointed . We were there on Sunday, 18 Dec, to buy burgers for the family, paid by debit card for R553. Although the funds went off my account, on their system it reflected as declined. They insisted that I should pay again and that the 1st transaction will be reversed within a few hours. I went back the following day and they said it will take 24 hours, but it has been 2 days and it has not been refunded. They are also not returning my calls. This is now costing me more money on fuel and phone calls to sort out. Not happy at all!

Absolutely ridiculous, waited over an hour and 30 minutes for my order and still haven’t received it. Calling the store doesn’t even help because no can help you and they just keep making excuses. Store closes at 8 and I haven’t recipes my order.

One would think that if you order online you would get quicker service. The fact that I have to pay a R15 delivery fee to start off with ... I placed my order 50 minutes ago and it is still not here. When I place an order at the venue I have never waited for longer than 20 minutes. Makes me wonder if my food will still be hot and my drink still cold by the time it gets here. I must add that last year when I used the service my order would arrive within 30 minutes of placing. When being charged extra for a service one expects the service to be great. And what do you know my order has still not arrived. Going on an hour now and I still do not have my food.

I'm absolutely over the service of steers in Knysna. Orders taking 1.5-2hrs for delivery and when you call they say it's on the way... 30min later still no food delivered. No where in Knysna takes 30min to deliver. Tell the truth and give us the option to cancel Esther than saying it's on the way and it's not.

Great food and service, definitely one of the nicer Steers. Highly recommend the Get Real Cheese Burger.

Ordered a mighty steers burger and a king steers burger yesterday. Each came with one burger patty short. Today ordered the same after making a complaint. Got all my patties this time only to find I never received my jalapeños!

Honestly the worst, go into the branch not busy. Leave get home and 1 of 2 burgers not supplied ...gosh big order. No remorse and to make it worse food cold. Shocking . I'm done with this steers

(Before reading this, after writing this review I went back 3 times to see if this was a one time thing. All three times both the food and service has been absolutely disgusting. The first time I waited another hour, the offod was cold. The second time I found a hair in my food, and the third they got the order completely wrong! The manager is pathetic. If this is the quality steers is happy with, I won't be surprised if they dissappear soon. Expect a visit from the health inspector soon.) An absolute joke. I ordered 2 burgers. After an hour of waiting I enquired what the delay was. After about 10 minutes of trying to locate my order on the system, and consulting with a second employee, the teller printed the slip (from an hour ago) and handed the slip to the kitchen. When speaking to the manager, the response I got was "This is normal"!? I understand if the wait is long, but the order was not even sent through to the kitchen until an hour after the order was place. The staff were not apologetic in any way and basically laughed when I asked to cancel the order. No professionalism, orginazation or accountability whatsoever, and this seems to be a pattern based on other reviews.

Incredibly frustrated. I had to wait 2 hours for my delivery! And then, not only was it cold I was also missing items from my delivery. I called 3 seperate times, each time they assure me it's coming and then it's not. I am so utterly disappointed. Update: A wonderful woman (Tamara) who works at the steers contacted me and has helped get to the bottom of the situation and helped remedy it. I was very impressed with how quickly they handled the situation.

The service at Knysna Steers is shocking. Last 4 orders delivery has taken between 1 and a half hours to 2 hours. Food arrives cold. You get lied to that the delivery is on its way and 50 mins later it is still on its way, which is only a 10min drive. The manager does not even have the courtesy to call you back after 5 calls to find out where the order is. Very disappointing service

Customer service sucks and they need to work on their attitude.

Great place, good food. Chips are great. Average price on all items. Great milkshakes.

Today we had the worst experience at Steers Knysna. First we were help by staff wearing her mask on her neck. Very load cashier with no mask talking over food, making milkshakes no mask in sight. Non of the staff member wear gloves touching all over there body the without washing hands touch the food you order. The manager sitting outside in the sun shouting and screaming at people walking around the building. The burger we order was dunck with sauce the milkshake was like water. The owner can be pleased people still buy from them maybe because it's the only Steers in town. Most definitely I will never visit Steers again. Compliance certificate display so big but no covid protocol is followed only the customer's do. One positive thing the ladies at Debonairs on point. The manager wears her uniform with pride and the rest of her team aswell. Just show if the person in charge take pride in what she does the staff working under her will also do.

Disgustingly slow service, 1 1/2 hrs for 1 x Wacky Wednesday and 1 x small chips. No organisation at all, absolute chaos. People shouting at staff for the poor service. This Steers needs urgent intervention 🤬🤬🤬

The service is not great. Sylvia and Ronald will give you the best service but if they don't help you you might not enjoy it. Remember to check the food before you leave. Don't go on a Wednesday if you are very hungry, waiting period can take up to a hour sometimes, especially when half the town wants wacky Wednesday. **update.. Still don't get it right to deliver an complete order, I have given up. hour later cold chips are delivered.

45 minutes to get a burger & chips - totally slammed, staff seamed overwhelmed - during this one staff member went outside to take a call - not only me, there were numerous unhappy customers
