This is a small open market where the local community gathers to pass time and enjoy time with friends and family. This place has various food stalls that you can buy snack, drinks and small meals. Very calm and peaceful atmosphere. You can bring your kids as well as pets. If you are looking for souvenirs you can find few people who sell them in this market. People are very friendly. Parking is available and almost every stall accept both cash and card payments. This is open only on Saturday morning.

Very nice place to spend a Saturday morning. The food options are amazing with options for the whole family. The only item missing is some cocktails and craft beers. But overall a good experience. And if you visit the Outeniqua farmers market try the burgers you will not regret it.

What a delightful little museum smack bang on the corners of York street and Courtenay street, in the middle of George. It hosts several themes from wood, dolls, insects, antiques, etc. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It is amazing that such a place operates without charging any fees, but I suppose this approach is also responsible for the decline of the facility, because they aren't receiving any fees from visitors. Visit this gem before it vanishes completely.

Lovely local market to buy some fresh produce and also grab an awesome breakfast from a wide variety of stallls. Beware though - seating is limited and everything is communal seating, so the stalls don't have their own seating. That said it's a great opportunity to chat to random people you share a table with. The food ranges from German to 'Boere' to Indian to fresh pressed veggie juices. There is also a crafts section and some other stalls selling anything from clothes to wooden toys. There is a nice family play area for the kids, and parking is ample out of season. High season can be a bit of a squeeze. The market is open Saturdays from 08h00 to 14h00.

Nice outdoor open market. Lots of food options and non-alcoholic drinks. Parking is free. Can get really crowded since it is only once a week on Saturday. You can find 20+ vendors with variety of products. Live music is nice add on. People are friendly. We were not able to find toilets though.

A wonderful outdoor family market that caters for both young and old, alike. I found the items for sale were highly priced. However, the seating provided allowed an opportunity for the family to enjoy a hot or cold drink and/or a bite to eat.

Has a huge selection of food style stalls and a smaller selection of goods to what I remember pre Covid. It's a winner market for children- great play Area, little go-cart track and the quadbike train , which kiddies love. Good shade and outdoor table board games for free usage. Ample parking

This is a very nice and popular Saturday morning farmers market with a wide variety of produce and eating places. It is quite relaxing to walk around and visiting the stalls. I make a point to visit often to get my fresh fruit and veg there as well as free range chicken.

Great outdoors market. Lots.of stalls selling leather products, art, handmade toys, wooden and wire products and lots of food. Seating is a bit limited, especially when it rains. Highly recommend for a family outing with lots of easy parking. Only open on Saturdays.

On Saturday we decided to take a drive to George whilst visiting family in nearby Oudtshoorn. The @outeniqua_family_market is hard to miss when passing Garden Route Mall. They have plenty of food and craft vendors as well as live music to keep you entertained. Kids loved the chips on a stick and corn dogs. We shared some currywurst which took us right back to our visit to Germany last December. I had a cheesy burger from the Burger Bros vendor which was so good. But the highlight had to be the churros, hands down the best churros I have ever had.

Lovely place to take the family. Just like the traditional markets we had in Cape Town (that changed). I really enjoyed this market and the food was excellent. Play area for the kids is a big bonus to any parent. Payment of some items was our only struggle and we had to pay each time with our card at the information desk, although this is not a train smash at all. Great market.

The scrambled egg with bacon and cheese was barely edible and the hash browns we ordered were the size of a R 5 coin. A cup of decaf Cappuccino was R 38! Christmas time robbery. Good selection of cheeses. The fruit and vegs were of good quality and well priced. Nice fresh bread. The nursery is well stocked and very reasonably priced.

Many stalls with different items to choose from. There is a lot of space to sit and enjoy a meal or watch live entertainment. Some stalls can be a bit pricy for what they are selling but overall it was a fun experience.

The family market is a very good place to bring your family, there are stores that you can purchase gifts for the children and your pets. There are many food stalls so there is no shortage of food options and you can also purchase self defense items such as knives and BB guns. All in all, very good place to bring the family.

Move over Sedgefield Wild Oats market, this is by far the greatest market on the Garden Route. Parking is plentiful, so many more options for food, crafts and more. And great activities for kids! Need a good few hours here.

What an azaming beautiful set up. Ample parking, friendly staff and stall managers. Everything in place with enough for everyone to enjoy. Lay out is unique and finished with style. Plenty to do for the kids and pets are welcome too!!! Great venue for a day out in the countryside just a few minutes away from the hustle and bustle from the normal daily life. Lovely outing for the family when visiting George. Lots of food stalls and craft stalls available. My favourites were the lovely lady selling Freshwater pearl jewellery items at amazing prices and the caramelised nuts sold by another lovely lady. We will definitely visit again during our next holiday to George.

My favorite Saturday morning Market in the Garden Route. Fresh produce great meals for a get together with family and friends and the ONLY PLACE to sell this fres Pomegranate juice. A MUST if you have never tried it before. The dog friendly as well as recycling stations and simple and effective seating make for sharing and conducive to meeting locals and many nice people.

Oh, it's just wonderful. The food stalls are plentiful, full of variety, and delicious. The normal vendors are lovely. We have seen some of them at the Milkwood Market. There's live music too. Plenty of seating. There is a wonderful play area for the kids, and a little train. There's also a nice gaming tables section. It's a lovely morning for the whole family.

(Translated by Google) As already written by others, it is more of a hodgepodge of different things that sometimes have even remotely to do with George. Even if the operators or employees have made a lot of effort here, this is nothing that is really special. A change for 60-90 minutes, as there isn't so much to see in George now.

Very interesting, some nice old world stuff and informative plaques explaining the history of George and the immediate area, all based in the old Drosdty house, which (according to what I read) was the original residence of the governor of George.

The museum is mostly art and a few other things like old typewriters, phones and wood work. I was expecting something more. The staff was very friendly and they told us they will wait till we are done before closing. During covid they close at 3pm

The museum takes you back in time with some really antique exhibits on display. Some of the history of George is wonderfully illustrated and captured in script, paintings and photographs. A nice way to spend an hour or two exploring and learning with an appreciation for history and the artifacts diaplayed. Upkeep and maintenance of this wonderful building can be improved. A very stiff feel created by the staff and some friendlier faces would be a welcome addition.
