If you looking for a old pub feel take a visit to The George. There is also a portion of the pub which is fully glass and has an outside bistro feel to it. I tried the turkey and pork Sunday roast which was delicious, especially the roasties, veggies and gravy. Pork was a little dry but turkey and pork stuffing was very flavorful!

No ales or IPA were on offer during my visit. I settled for G&T as an alternative. Quite busy on a Saturday afternoon. A children's party appeared during my visit with toddlers running around banging and screaming. I don't know when it has become acceptable to hold children's parties in pubs but it is not the place when you are trying to enjoy a quiet drink. We ordered food and it took over half an hour to arrive and that was after asking the barmaid. The sausage and mash was stone cold and was sent back. The burger was also cold and nothing but average with a very small portion of chips. Not very good value for money. Very disappointing experience.

Great pub with lots of rooms with plenty of tables, they also have a beer garden with covered areas which gets plenty of sunlight in the summer! Plenty of event being run weekly from sports, pub quizzes and live music. They also have a set lunch menu which is great value and tastes great.

literally the worst Sunday roast I’ve ever had. Beef was incinerated. Ironically before Covid, this place was amazing and they had the best pink beef roast and pork with stuffing and crackling. We asked if they’ve changed the chef - they said the key chef has left 2 weeks ago. RIP George, never again for us (which is really sad). But at least we had closure.

Lovely place. Food is good, but inconsistent, sometimes superb, sometimes good. Service is fine, but they have broken the toilet recently and the cleaner toilet is locked. Overall, it's my go-to place. Will review again in next 3 months

Excellent service, 2 lads behind bar are brilliant! Some of the nicest food I've ever had. Very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely go back and will definitely be recommending to everyone!.

Came for a Sunday roast, service was very slow despite not being particularly busy, and food was underwhelming & overcooked. Decor was nice enough, but wouldn't go unless it's your local.

Great old school pub, located about two mins walk from Crossharbour DLR Station offering a great selection of beers and gins - there's a monthly special including non-alcoholic gins (though I didn't try that one)! Also does food, the burgers are very good - The George is definitely worth a visit if you're that way. Staff are also very friendly :)

We came here for Sunday lunch as a family after visiting here previously for a lovely meal. We encountered incompetent service. Over an hour wait for food. The order was completely wrong and we were so hungry that we had to wait and eat the awful roasts. The only positive was that the manager took the roast dinners off of our bill as an apology. We sadly won’t be returning as the other meals were not very nice either.

PLEASE, Please sort and TRAIN your staff for Gods sake !!! People behind bar is talking in their own language, restaurant is out of Merlot wine, out of Ribeye stake - not sure where is the problem to have these items in stock on SATURDAY night. Very untrained, absolutely unprofessional staff and waiters - and it’s not even their fault - because your restaurant/bar didn’t give them enough training

Nice beers, but the best part about this pub is the beer garden tucked away at the back. Great place to relax and enjoy your pint amongst the surrounding high-rise buildings.

We ordered 4 sunday roasts: two arrived after 40 minutes and were cold, the other two never arrived. When we asked for an update regarding the food we were told by the staff that we should go to the bar and request a refund as they could not be certain when the food would be served. Unfortunately the food was cold and terrible quality. The staff was extremely rude. Absolutely abysmal.

Absolutely love this pub. Carly and the team are so lovely and welcoming, super friendly and nothing is ever too much. The food is also absolutely AMAZING - and there's plenty of it! If I could give this place 10 stars I would.

Great pub, perfect for a relaxing catch up. I had cauliflower cheese & sweet potato fries and both were excellent, much better than expected. The falafel was a bit of a let-down in comparison, small portion for the high(er) price. But the cauliflower cheese was more than good enough to make up for it.

Never been here. Visiting from Canada. Lovely beer garden. Thank you Kit for your kindness. Honestly I rated this place 4 stars because the people who sat down beside were so loud and playing music on their phones and totally ruined the ambience of this place.

Food is amazing, atmosphere and people are so kind and welcoming. Big shout out to Mandy, the most welcoming and lovely person I have ever met. Eniln takes so much pride in what she does, Joe is also so welcoming and attentive. Will always come back to this pub :)

Came in here over the weekend and was greeted by a very helpful gentleman named Shane. Really made my time there feel important and was very attentive and always made sure me and my party were enjoying ourselves! Since this place has changed hands it’s gone uphill fast! Will definitely be coming back!

On arrival the staff were very welcoming. A tall lady called Gemma helped to seat me and my three boys. Food was lovely, very kind friendly. Whilst there was told they had entertainment on the Friday night so went back with my partner and had one of the best nights in long while, highly recommend this pub.

Traditional local pub in nice location near DLR station and ASDA JUST 2mins away. Weekends buzzing with pint and sports. All good

Amazing!!!! Food delightful, you will wait a while for the goodness to arrive at the table but my gosh the wait is worth it for the finese and indepth flavours of fresh produce. The shepherds pie 😍😍 Staff are friendly & approachable. The manager is great, she personally came over to ensure we were having the best experience. Honestly can not fault it! Can't wait to go back!

I ate here many times but the last time I didn't have a good experience. The food became quite pricey, and this is a local pub so it was a big surprise. I ordered something with an extra topping for £4.50. It turned out that the topping was not available. I had to ask for a refund because the waitress was not aware of it. I got the refund in cash, instead of my bank card. They apologised though. Then I got a small salad instead of the one I ordered for £14. I had to ask for the original one. In the end I got the salad, and it was good. I appreciate the waitress was new but the experience was not that pleasant that I got used to in this place. It was just too much hassle. I appreciate the goodwill still it was a disappointment overall.

Wonderful place with quality food and great choice of beers. The staff were attentive and professional ensuring that our Test and Trace check-ins were successful. It took a little while to get the food but the quality and taste more than made up for it. We tried to get a small portion of sweet potatoes for a baby but were told to order the full adult size salad instead. Given the crisis in the industry I guess that is understandable. Will definitely go back. Recommended!

Brilliant pub with great tasting food. We went with the classics and we were not disappointed. They have a lovely beer garden as well as a covered terrace with some lovely decorated tables and chairs. Prices are also decent so we will surely come back.

Good local hangout pub. I went there for Sunday roast, as one does whilst in London.

Great family pub with a bit laid back but friendly service. This time round the outside terrace was turfed with good quality artificial grass a lovely sight after mostly brown parks everywhere... Plenty of eating and really great for children and pets alike.. A real family pub. The place is tastefully decorated with photos.. Also on the ceiling so look around... Up....and down! The prices are friendly too.

Top-notch place. Lovely, friendly staff. Great mix of people from locals to visitors, all happily relaxing over a drink. Perfect balance of contemporary décor, but retaining its cozy traditional feel.. What a pub should be. Oh and the Sunday roasts are 10/10!

I haven’t got a bad word to say about this establishment. The food is great, staff amazing especially Gemma who has always made me feel so welcome. On cold nights the fire places are on for comfort and also have heaters outside. I highly recommended anyone to visit The George

We love the pub. Carly has really made the place feel welcoming. Its dog friendly which is great and the food is really good. One small gripe is the sunday lucnhes were better before. Sorry guys but we are not fans of the root veggie mash! But otherwise, Perfect!
