Love the jazz jam night on Thursdays ! Some super musicians and very friendly atmosphere. It’s a shame there isn’t more space for them or the crowd to sit and watch. A gem of an evening otherwise.

First pint since lockdown in March 2020, and it was so good I had to stay for a few more! The George and Dragon has a great little outdoor courtyard for those sunny summer days. The staff are great.

The George & Dragon is a traditional British pub located in Acton, London. It has been serving locals and visitors for over 200 years and is a spot for a drink or something to eat. The pub has a dreary and barren atmosphere, with dark wood paneling, exposed beams, and a fireplace. There are several different areas to sit, including a large bar area, outdoor seating and dining area. There used to be a bar at the front where you could enjoy a good conversation with the locals but this has been replaced with some weird coffee bar setup. The food menu at The George & Dragon is extensive, mainly Thai with British dishes as well. The beer selection is okay with different beers on tap. The bar staff are miserable and unwelcoming. It seems if they smiled their faces would crack. Not even a hello or thank you. Come here if you need to, shame as the history of the place is amazing but the service is appalling. Can get busy when a band is playing but empty most of the time. I took a friend here and she said that she never wanted to come here ever again. Sums it up really.

Had dinner here with a few of my work colleagues and the food was truly delicious. I ordered the prawn Pad Thai. Received a big plate of tasty fried noodles with big, juicy prawns (the photo doesn't do it justice, but I didn't bother retaking it as I couldn't wait to devour it all). Staff was friendly and my colleagues and I had a lovely experience.

One of the most historical pub in London. Very cozy, London style with incredible craft beer and good music played all the time. During the weekend You can attend live music and jam session performed by great musicians. I totally recommend this pub both in winter and in summer when you can stay also in the secret terrace drinking a beer or read a book. Great place outside the busy London center!

Old coaching inn with a lovely atmospheric. Great food (Thai!) - really tasty and well priced. Welcoming staff and frequent live music. Genuinely can't find any fault with this place - it's a class act!

A little hidden gem! Along way from home but stumbled on this beautiful historic pub by chance. Oil paintings, wonky ceilings and floors and a lovely cobblestone garden. There's a new and exciting landlady at the helm, so the only way is up. Thai food and a wide range of craft beer. Do yourself a favor and check it out

One of the best pubs in Acton. Service is always so nice. The Thai food at the pub is absolutely delicious! The drinks are all lovely. The cheesecake was incredible and I think about it all day and want it all the time...

A wonderful local pub with tasty Czech beer , beautiful authentic wood panels and open fire , tasty Thai food and an awesome jukebox with seriously good tunes . An absolute gem.

Food was great. No live band though (on a Friday night) and probably only another 5 people in the pub. Would I come back? For food yes, but then I'd leave. Its not a night out. Also Add ⅓ to the menu shown on google and that'll be about right. Menu is out of date there. The wine in the photo, I had one glass and took the rest home.

Nice thai food. Good pint . Nice atmosphere and good historical interior with the old brewery equipment. Dog friendly pub as well.

Amazing place, live music every Thursday, it became one my favourite places from the first minutes of my visit. Try it a Thursday night after 8pm and you won't regret it for sure.

A beautiful pub with a nice outside area, the selection of beer was good and the staff (we were served by Juliana if I remember well) was lovely. We’ll definitely be back again!

Please update your website. I came out on a cold, dark February Sunday expecting to experience the gripping excitement of an open mic night. When I enquired at the bar, I was given such a look as if I was an escaped mental patient and told that no such night existed at this establishment. The website says different. Interestingly, I am greeted with this look quite often in my daily life.

Moved to the area recently and very quickly fell in love with the George; it's a great little historical pub with a lovely selection of beers and ales, a nice atmosphere and attached to a Thai restaurant However, very recently my friends and I came in for a few drinks and some food, and found the food had dropped significantly in quality. This wasn't a huge issue as we raised this with one of the women at the bar who, upon being told the food didn't taste seasoned, proceeded to tell us "this isn't a restaurant" followed by "that's just how it's made". The same member of staff is also always very standoffish at the bar, seems to always be miserable and makes ordering very awkward, which is a shame because her colleague seems to be super sweet, welcoming and chatty. I understand a workplace environment can R daunting, but this person seems to have no manners at all and is actively off-putting. My friends and I have since decided to move our regular pub and no loner go to the George.

Amazing Thai food and drinks. The pub has a great atmosphere, music is always fantastic and jazz sessions are a delight. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic evening at the George & Dragon and I probably had the best Thai Curry ever. The music was really good, the bartenders very friendly and the place is quirky enough to make it an attraction in itself. Definitely an underrated pub in Acton.

First time in. I hear the pub is under new management. I had some great food, and liked the vibe of the place, despite it being quiet. I wish the pub and landlady well, as I feel it has so much potential (due to the quirky main bar area), it just needs to find its niche. If this pub was in east London, and managed right, I imagine you'd struggle to find a seat... Can it happen in west London?

We got the tofu pad thai and pad see ew, which were both absolutely delicious. For any curious adventurer will be rewarded by looking around the interior.

This place has a vibe that is amazing. Thursday nights is Jamming Jazz evenings and it is very lively. Fridays and Saturdays events vary btwn vintage Rock, Soul and Punk..what a wonderful mix. Love it. Has a great Juke Box and a variety of craft beers and Thai food on the menu. If you've not been here..I urge you to visit!

Old and atmospheric pub with great beers on tap, from breweries like Kernel and Siren. The pub has several rooms plus tables outside. Regular live music.
