Where is management looking after this place, I have seen the decline in the last few months. Poor trained bar staff. Tables don't get cleared and cleaned. Young staff swearing and standing around on the phones instead of serving at the bar. No direction or senior staff to take control. Management get a grip on your staff, train them in customer service and clean this mess up.

If I could give none- I would. My disabled dad and I visited your branch for my 22nd birthday dinner. While my dad was outside, I asked the bar if they accepted cash as it was our preference for the evening and they just looked bewildered. I then mentioned I had a booking and he called someone over to seat us. He walked us over to a table before saying it was reserved for someone else. He changed his mind about moving us and we sat ready to order. There was no menu or sauces on the table so we had to get them ourselves. When we were ready to order we waited for about 10 minutes and no one even looked our way. I asked the bar if we had to order there and he sent someone to us to take it. When we ordered the waiter returned twice saying we had to order something else as they didn’t have it, which was no issue with myself and my dad. It was when he placed our drinks down he asked us to pay for the bill upfront and we both couldn’t help feel judged for being in there. It came across that they felt we couldn’t pay and wanted to ensure we didn’t walk out. When the food arrived after us making payment we barely finished it as we felt so uncomfortable, with no one checking on us the entire time. From the moment we went in to when we left, it was probably one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. Me and my dad felt inadequate and couldn’t wait to leave. As I went to get the car he told me the security guard made a comment about him having dinner with a younger girl- when he then informed him I was his daughter. Very distasteful.

Absolutely disgusting service. Was made to feel like a criminal just because of our skin colour. Went outside to smoke a cigarette on the outside terrace. On coming back in Was told we smelled of weed. This is a disgusting way to be treated. Will never step foot in this horrible place again!!!! 😓

I met up with a friend for lunch. The two members of staff could not do enough for us. Especially as my friend can only drink decaff. I bought a jar and the lady made a special cappuccino for you. Nothing was too much trouble. Service is excellent, food delicious, and prices really fair.

Did a bottomless brunch here. Had to get your drinks from the bar so nowhere where near as good as other brunches. Burgers were good. Pancakes were not. Got a little bit seedy in here after 11pm.

Visited here on a Saturday night, a nice little bar. 2 for 1 drinks only available on certain times so check before you arrive. Customer service was decent but cleanliness was a bit of a issue. The DJ’s selection of music wasn’t that great for a Saturday night.

First time visiting here since the new picky bits were added to the menu. I really enjoyed sharing the small plates and cocktails with my friends - we all loved the deep friend bao buns and the tofu. We were served by Mils throughout - she was fabulous! All the cocktails were served quickly and tasty.

First time visit, very clean, open and tidy. Staff were welcoming and friendly and made a relaxed environment. Ordered the fish and chips and was amazed at how fresh and massive the fish was! All went down a treat. Ciaram and Nick were servers and were very accommodating and professional. Had a great visit and would recommend.

This pub is one of my regular haunts. I like it as the staff are unfailingly friendly and polite. Amelia today was friendly, polite and helpful. it is a large pub with great seating choices. With an outdoors area front and back for added choice. I usually have a pint of Peroni to start followed by a specialised order. Every bar person to date picks up on this and knows my order. This is superb service. The managers and staff always thank me when I leave. This makes you feel valued. The Slug is an excellent all round pub.

First visit to Slug & Lettuce Woodford. Lovely decor inside. Had the cocktails made by Lily , the S&L Sangria was fab definitely recommend.

Leah and Lila have been so lovely and helpful. Me and my mum came in for bottomless brunch and received a lovely service from both ladies. Great food and great drinks. Would definitely recommend and will be back 10/10!

Came into slug and lettuce Saturday night, had something to eat and to drink and really impressed by our server Lily who was polite, consistent and really helpful explaining the menu. She was really welcoming and cannot express enough what a difference she made to my experience.

Amazing service, food and drink was perfect. Lovely evening with friends. Special shout out to lily & joshua who were so accommodating. Top service. We will be back for sure.

I visited Slug and Lettuce in South Woodford with a few of my friends on Easter Sunday. It was a girls night out and we were having a great time as they had 2-4-1 cocktails and a live DJ. Unfortunately, a fight broke out towards the end of the evening and we were shocked to discover that the manager didn’t know how to handle a situation of this magnitude as we witnessed her crying and not taking control in any aspect. We felt very scared and there was no reassurance by management at all. However, a young lady approached us and stated that she worked for a sister site as a manager and escorted us to a safe place. Not only did she reassure us as customers within this establishment (in which she doesn’t work at), she also attended to other customers and provided first aid duties to security who had been injured in the fight. In my opinion, I felt as if she was the manager of the site as she handled the situation so professionally. I wish I knew her so I could thank her personally for her attentiveness and safety during such a frightening situation.

Fantastic atmosphere! Brilliant music selection and wonderful seating, enough for a big group of myself and my friends. The 2-for-1 cocktail menu is extensive and the small plate selection is nice and filling.

New years Eve, and they had barely any food in stock. They had actually run out of burger buns halfway through our order, so those that did get burger buns, they were crusty and falling apart as they were being eaten. The staff offered nothing to compensate and just looked at us blankly while we tried to come up with solutions/alternatives.. absolutely useless

I visited for the first time recently, and it's safe to say I'll be back! The atmosphere and decor were 10/10, there was good music, and the place was kept very clean and tidy. When I arrived, the bartender who was serving me, Selin, was amazing. Her customer service was immaculate, and her drink recommendations were excellent. She was a star!

Nice place to hangout. I had the cheese & bacon beef burger and was great portion size and quality. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the outdoor area perfect to enjoy the 2x1 amazing cocktails they have!

Had a lovely Friday lunch here, hoping this won't ruin things, not that busy at lunchtime a fantastic place to cone and eat and converse with friends. Lots of indoor/outdoor seating and a lovely area at the back for kids (I hardly noticed them). Staff were friendly and attentive. A great Friday brunch, I'll be back

Slug & Lettuce South Woodford…. This place is so FAKE and unprofessional… most of the positive comments I see are not legitimate… this place was a 2.5 stars a week ago and for a good reason. The manager was rude and the food was just dry… drinks were mainly filled with ice. Please Please Please for the love of god DO NOT GO HERE! Things like this don’t change in a week time unless Gordon Ramsay would come fix this place up… even then I don’t think I would go again until the manager of the establishment changed.

Had an amazing time. The staff was lovely, they were all dressed up as they was doing a Alice in Wonderland night. All the little extras they did was so much fun! Will definitely be back again

I often go to Slug and Lettuce during the day as I work from home I would bring my laptop and have a coffee and bite to eat for lunch (great food, Love the sweet potato chips and steamed Veg) Hats off to the Chef . I also meet up some weekends with the girls for a quick end of week drink 😜 ... such a lovely calming environment and the staff are outstanding, always Greet you with a smile and care about the customers Gemma is Lovely and kind and I think her name is Danny is also very nice and Destiny is the one to make you giggle with a smile. All round a fun and calm place to be. I Highly recommend a visit. Weldone Management.

Covid secure. Have to fill in a form for each person. A bit much for me. Staff are nice and friendly. But I wasn't a fan of the food. Gave 3 stars for the staff and nice surroundings. Each area has its own little theme. They also do a quiz on Thursdays.

A nice venue, but check your bill as my mate got double charged. They did refund it as she had a receipt, but I may have been double charged but I did not ask for a receipt. A lesson here is to always ask fir a receipt.

had afternoon tea for mothers day and it was lovely. so so many sandwiches and cakes to choose from and they came out with vegan options for me too. super friendly service and nice atmosphere

The slug has great atmosphere and staff are very friendly and helpful. They have a great cocktail selection and would recommend to anyone that likes cocktails

How can you take bookings for Valentines evening and have no steaks or Fish… unbelievable beyond words. You are extremely lucky you have such good staff, but really shocking.. won’t be booking here next year, maybe that’s why the place isn’t heaving…

Really good service. The food was great value for money. The manger and Lilly the barmaid was so lovely.
