To be honest this place is absolutely not worth the hype. They told me that the food will take not less than 20 minutes, but in reality it took near 1 hour. Once the food arrived, I was so disappointed. The red red tastes horrible and it is so dry. The gari had hard pieces and the plantain was not even salted. As for the portion size.... let's not even talk about it. Bad

It could have been better. The kebabs were really hard, and the tilapia I ordered was so dry. It seemed like it had been reheated so many times. Same for the fried yams. I did enjoy the red and black pepper sauce with the pork.

My family and I thought it would be nice to go to the restaurant to celebrate Ghana's 65th Independence anniversary. Unfortunately, this experience was a great disappointment considering the importance of the occasion. Starter took 50 minutes; main meal was the same. When the food eventually arrived, the meat was rock hard and would have required a hacksaw to saw through the meat. Presentation was terrible as the food was just slapped on the plate with no thought or care for presentation. When we complained to one of the managers (who is supposed to be the "face" of the company) he was quite surly in his attitude towards us. He then proceeded to give us a "lecture" in business management. The irony of it is that he was the one who needed a course in business management and effective customer service! To cap it off, a fight broke out a between staff member and a customer...Even Gordon Ramsay's "Hells Kitchen" couldn't have saved them on the night. Not good; could do better-must do better!

Food over priced, poor service, Quality of food was a Nightmare, fish smelling of fuel and very hard, jollof rice burnt, plantain over ripe! My money is crying! Wont recommend this restaurant , but if you want to waste your money then fine. Had to try and force myself to eat after a long drive coming to this restaurant.

Easy 10/10 for the goat meat stew and overall good service but that’s where it ends for me. The Kelewele was a let down as I desired something more authentic. Depends on what you want but this is not the place I’d go if i badly craved a taste from home. My friend visits specifically for the lamb chops and I’d do it again for the goat stew, so there’s that. Compared to the reviews prior my visit, food came out relatively fast.

Some things are ridiculously overpriced on their menu. Paid Β£11.50 for red red - black eyed beans stew and its half way in container. The food was nice enough. 3 stars because of the wait time and customer service. The female staff member, gave us a 25 min wait time; in reality it was 45 mins, no apology or anything.

My guess is as soon as word spreads worldwide about The Gold Coast Bar & Restaurant, bookings will be at a premium so treat yourself as soon as possible to this amazing and fun entertainment experience... The menu is extraordinary and the food we had was like we've never had before... We hope we will be able to visit again one day... The Gold Coast Bar & Restaurant was amazing!!

Waiting 2hrs to eat main meal... many things missing from the menu. This use to be such a great place to eat. What happend? We were also charged for items they actually didn't give us in the end. How can you not have one of the main the dishes available? It was not even busy for this delay, only 3 tables had guests... very disappointed. No kid friendly options available. I didn't took pictures, food was just not worth it.

Came here for dinner with my partner on saturday. We ordered jollof rice with fish and I had chicken with rice and salad. I nearly bit my fingers off! Was so tasty! The waitress was very friendly and made us feel at home. She paid me lots of compliments which really made me feel good as I had had a terrible afternoon. The prices were very reasonable. I left a generous tip.

The price and the services offered does not match at all. Very disappointed! They certainly do not live up to the hype. They are so unorganised and it looks like they are just guessing. I've had better service at relatively lower priced places. One star is for the taste of some of the things I had. I would not recommend

Hey, you guys have to invite me back there cos I didn't finish enjoying myself. This is the night out place or night club where most Ghanaians meet. If was newly released Ghanaian songs, make a date with the house Dj this weekend....

I enjoyed my visit, we had a table booked for a birthday celebration, service was okay wanted to tell him to keep his head up king!! No need to be afraid! The food was good, kelewele and peanuts, yam balls, had fufu and light soup as my main and it was large but verrry expensive for what it was. Β£17!! Was nicely decorated in the garden but upstairs was a bit lacking I can't say I didn't get the runs after my meal and then again with my leftovers... Was delicious but not sure its worth the risk?

They provide homely authentic food that tastes nice, but the service is slow and uncoordinated. If they want to attract non-Ghanaians, think about what would delight a customer. If you focus on service / delivery, the place will be full.

Great tasting food, however, the management need to decide whether plastic utensils are really the way to go.

The best things about it is the deadlocked DJ that plays on a Friday. Man knows his mixes well. Brilliant music. Food is okay and the whole place could do with a redecoration.

Visited here with family and travelled from West London. Really glad we went food was amazing. My only issues is I personally think price is slightly too high but food is good quality and flavour, so maybe justified? And the inside seemed dark all round. But overall really enjoyed and will be visiting again

The food was ok but not very cosy decor. Reminds me of an olden day pub with wooden tables wooden chairs no plants fors decoration just bland. We went on a friday night approx 9pm couldnt hear ourselves talk because the music was so loud. No reentry once you go outside.

As I’m walking out I’m so disappointed. This is by far worst Ghanaian restaurant in London, service is horrible waited one and a half hours for our food. Fried yam over done grilled tilapia over done and dry tasteless. Jollof was dry. Best thing was the beef stew.

I rarely make these comments, so its intended to be constructive and in good faith. Food is ok no issues. But way overpriced, it would have been ok if the portion sizes we decent. But it felt we didnt get much for our money.

Could do with a total refurbishment. Especially the bar and toilet just to hype the place up. It'll also make it appealing for people to visit often. Aside that, food is delicious

Good was lovely and tasted fresh ,well cooked and nicely spiced. I had yam balls and chefs special chicken, others on my table had tilapia and fried yam and banku. Took more than 30mins to arrive but was informed when ordering. Lovely music on Friday and not too crowded.

Poor service! Waiter took our orders and then came back 35mins later to let us know they didn’t have what we wanted. Waited 1 hour for just starters to arrive which was only kelewele and chicken wings. Never known this to take so long to cook. Mains followed around 20 minutes later, fufu had dried up and was not fresh at all. After the mains had arrived, waiter ASKED if we wanted bowls of water to wash our hands as if that’s not standard procedure as we had all ordered fufu and then took about 5 mins to bring it out. Waited another 15mins just to find a waiter to get the bill as they kept disappearing. Was so close to walking out but my family insisted I give the benefit of the doubt but we should have indeed left. Nothing like Gold Coast in Accra! The staff need to do better, very disappointing.

This was my second time visiting (not by choice because the first time we visit we had to wait over two hours for food!!).The food was horrible!! Tasteless, unseasoned and overall very disappointing for Ghanaian cuisine. The place and food needs a revamp. I will definitely not be visiting here again.

Worst Ghanian restaurant I’ve ever come across. Takeaway and customer service is beyond poor. Food is not even nice!! They don’t even deserve 1 star, wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. Save your money and your time, not worth it!!!!

Stunning food, great ambience, had the grilled chicken. however management needs to have more than one front of house staff. The gentleman was polite & hardworking despite having to juggle multiple roles: waiter, bartender, customer service, it was fairly busy, I had to ask him if he was the chef as well πŸ˜€. Also plastic plates & utensils is not a good look. I came for a dinning experience,

It was the last Wednesday of the august post covid discount....3 of us paid Β£22 and could not finish the exquisite authentic PROPER Ghanaian cuisine. Atmosphere excellent... social distancing adhered to and the welcome great despite being inundated with patrons... ok.. food b took a while to get there but with the happy faces, food priced drinks and afro beats on in the background the time soon passed.... and many will be back to willingly pay full price.... I'll be going back within the month. Wholly recommended πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½πŸ‘πŸ½β€

I celebrated my PhD yesterday in this gorgeous place. Well we had a awesome evening and the venue was no doubt one of the reasons for this happy gathering. The crew collaborated in a splendid manner, the meals were great and my friends were very glad. We shall no dout visit again for more joyful events. Thank you very much.

Great place for entertainment but small space for a live band. Advertised without indicating charges, either cash or digital payments which is deceiving. The female toilet can be uncomfortable to enter during activities due to men occupying the entrance.

I have been coming here on and off for 7 years . The food is not as good as before but The one Security guy Short and fat Nigerian is always rude on a weekend to disabled guests I bring. Will definitely not be going there anymore. There are newer and more disability friendly places now on the high Street so more choices.

Food is delicious but service is absolutely awful. Food takes very long to come out and staff are not professional at all including management as they are constantly chatting and not attending to customers.
