The food was a delicious and the menu really interesting, but I think we suffered from a case of expectations vs reality. The vibe of the pub is traditional and cosy with a fire place and cute dogs, but the menu didn't quite match up to the hearty pub meal we were hoping for. It aligned more with a refined British restaurant, smaller portions and slightly over priced. Having said all that, the food we did eat was very tasty, special mention to the braised leek dish, which was entirely vegan, but very creamy. The staff were also very attentive and the decor with dark wooden beams was lovely.

Went here after a hike in Otford. Had a lovely Sunday roast: the beef was tender, roast potatoes and veggies were cooked perfectly, we were given lots of gravy, and the chocolate and hazelnut tart for dessert was delicious. Definitely recommend!

Lovely setting and the food was brilliant!! Our server was very friendly and helpful when we weren’t sure what to order. Highly recommend lunch here and a walk around the lake afterwards.

Great service, cosy atmosphere and delicious food. We had the steak & couscous, chicken, slow cooked lamb and the rhubarb.

Cosy pub with excellent food and helpful friendly staff. Enjoyed a lunch meeting with friends. There's a convinently located carpark at the side of the pub, which I missed seeing and parked in the high Street. Nice choice of food available on the menu, I was pleased to see a number of vegetarian options πŸ‘ I really enjoyed the beatroot risotto.

The food here is outstanding, and so reasonably priced. We ate three delicious courses and paid less than Β£35 each. Honestly it is brilliant value. The outside area is really nice too. Only slight downside is the very tight car park, and we asked for tap water twice and never got any. But aside from that it is really great.

One of the very best meals in a pub I’ve ever had - everything I ate was perfect. The seating in the garden is very pleasant and the staff were all very helpful and friendly (although we asked for some water a couple of times and it never arrived). The food is very very good value. The bread and butter was sublime, the mushroom and truffle risotto so creamy and decadent and the Eve’s pudding and custard so comforting and tasty. I would really like to return and try more things from the menu. Soon I hope!

Housed in a 400 year old pub it has that British country warming character. The warmth continues with chatty, friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Their guidance through the menu was honest and exemplary. The recommended veggie burger was the beat example I have had the pleasure of eating. The staff went in as far as recommending a dessert and pairing it with off the menu ingredients. Their side recommendation elevated and complemented the crumbly dish. Price is excellent given the quality. On this occasion, which is rare, I was sad to say goodbye.

Lovely pub that specialises in great food and service. Nice bar, open fire and casual dinning tables downstairs. Further dinning space upstairs including a little private dinning room. The food was superb, staff were friendly and provided great service and pub has great character. Highly recommend.

No other star rating would be a fair reflection! Went here today after a Christening and the waiters and waitresses dealt with our party and the (many) kids present very well indeed. Food was of a very good standard and served en masse and piping hot, drinks were offered and empties removed promptly. Kids were fed first, high chairs were available and staff were very patient with everyone. Sorry for the food strewn all over the floor! A lovely playground outside makes this a perfect spot for a family meal / event. Thanks all πŸ‘πŸŽˆβ€οΈ

Fabulous dinner at the George & Dragon. Lovely village setting and a very attractive pub inside. Really warm greeting as we arrived at the Bar and the experience continued on a high level throughout our evening. Nice sofa seat with our pre dinner drinks before we sat at our table. Service throughout was very warm and attentive. Satay chicken starters were beautifully prepared and tasty. Hake and Risotto main courses were both excellent and we followed that with cheese & biscuits and coffee. A delicious meal , beautifully cooked , presented and served. Such a lovely evening. We will return. Highly recommended. Thanks G & D .

I have been here a few times now. Lovely restaurant. The food is amazing and the staff are very friendly and polite. You can always sit outside in the sunshine, which is lovely. I would definitely recommend this place

After a big build up about Sunday roasts at this pub we arrived with high expectations to our booked table only to be disappointed. They had run out of roast meats and this had then had a knock on to the pork belly option, also not available! We also witnessed others who were so disappointed that they left as soon as they were told no roasts. Which begs the question, who decides how many portions are allocated to bookings and do they need to review the process as they are apparently so well known for a Sunday roast!

A lovely setting for a pub & restaurant with beams and uneven floors. Retro furniture that's mismatched but it all adds to the ambience. It's a busy place but thats because it is popular. The food is excellent and pricey but well presented and so full of flavours. Most of the ingredients are sourced from local farms and producers so everything is fresh. Good service and knowledgeable staff. The wine list is extensive and if you are keen on cocktails there are many to choose from. A perfect place for a romantic meal or drink. Unfortunately the car park is very small. At busy times you'll be better off parking towards the top of the hill rather than in the pubs car park.

Beautiful old pub with a cosy feeling. The meal we had was amazing, both courses extremely tasty. My desert was probably one of the best I'd ever had. Good range of food choice on the menu, catering for vegetarians. A pub with amazing service and good ambience. Definitely will return again soon. If I could give it 6* I would!

Would definitely give 5 stars if garden was properly open. Hope is soon. Solid food, good, friendly service. Decent prices. Somewhat stressful with toddler on the gravel, not the grass

Excellent Sunday roast. Quaint pub. Good choice and also alcohol free choices which was handy as was driving and had to get back out of a rather tight parking space. Staff all very friendly. We did have a settime at the table as they had further bookings but plenty of time for relaxed lunch.

We stopped by & asked for coffee in the garden & ended by staying for lunch. The garden is lovely & the play area suited my granddaughter of 20 mnths but would be good for older too. The child menu was good as was the adult one. A very happy unplanned couple of hours.

Lovely garden and play area for the children. Staff were more than helpful and very friendly. Food was good, if a little expensive! Had a lovely time and would most certainly return.

Wonderful indoors, fireplace, service. Food was almost top notch but I find it fell a bit short of the mark. Sunday roast with no potatoes? The cauliflower cheese was great and plenty of gravy is always a hit!

Lovely pub, lovely food & a few cask ales or Meantime larger on tap plus a good wine list. We hadn't visited it before but was made to feel very welcome. Will definitely visit again if in the area.

The sunday roast tasted good but the savoy cabbage on the plate let it down - I thought it could've been elevated by being cooked in butter/shredded to add more flavour, rather than being steamed and in one large bland piece. Our food also took about 45 minutes to arrive which was a bit disappointing. I was impressed by the size of the gravy boats - huge!

What an excellent meal from this local pub/restaurant. The best in Sevenoaks. The pork belly was to die for 😊

Trendy modern pub, good service with a good selection of beers on offer like Peroni and Grolsch. Garden has lots of benches, lighting and neat flower beds. There is also a secure children’s play area. Clean toilets, plenty of hand towels. Just need some background music in the garden, would make the atmosphere better.

A great dog-friendly with on site parking and an outdoor area. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. They looked after us incredibly well, and our dog was made to feel at home. I would definitely go again.

Love the relaxed vibe and great food here. The leafy outdoor seating and children's playground are also highlights.

First visit to the George and Dragon for a belated Father's Day lunch. Beautiful, characterful pub with a lovely outside space. Really well put together menu executed with skill by the kitchen team. Service was welcoming, friendly and polite. 5/5 will definitely be back.
