was doing my shopping routine when I decide to stop to the spread eagle as usual… The atmosphere it’s great Kinga, Paul or Millie always make you feel at home, you never want to leave… You are really lucky to stop there when there’s is a Liverpool game (always if you are able to get in!), the experience it’s amazing! The fish and chips is the best in town! If you are in Oxford street just pop in and you won’t regret it!

A delightful quaint pub just off Oxford street. The beer is sparkling and cold, the atmosphere spicy and electric! The staff are wonderful, attentive and jolly. A very happy place to pay a visit, I recommend. Sports fans can take advantage of the big screens, both in the ground floor bar and in the first floor area. Also for the more hardy ( I am writing this in December) there is outside seating. A fun place.

Absolutely smashing place with really lovely welcoming and very friendly staff, just off Oxford Street, serving well-cellared beer and a really good portion of fish and chips that we three weary shoppers split between us. Suitably replete we were able to launch into more shopping. Okay, I stayed “to guard the shopping” and the girls went off to do more… I didn’t go thirsty though…

If you are a fan of Liverpool football club, this pub is for you! They broadcast the LFC games here. Plan for a packed place on game day. We went on a day when there wasn't a Liverpool match so it wasn't packed. There is outdoor seating, as well as indoor. Great selection of food on their menu and a great selection of beer on tap. Ladies rooms are downstairs, mens is upstairs. Very lovely pub. Great atmosphere. Very friendly and attentive staff. Our new go to pub!

Great food, great atmosphere but questionable service. Stopped here for late lunch after touring London as it was centrally located (close to Oxford Street) and relatively quiet despite the rush hours. The food was actually great! I had the large fish & chips and I couldn't fault anything - it was very well prepared, the fish seemed fresh and the side dishes were quite big portions. Tap beer was at the perfect temperature. However I have mixed feelings about the service - firstly I needed to order my food from the cashier, the waiter didn't come to collect orders from sitting customers, I also had to pay upfront even though I was sitting at the dining table. The staff was very nice when engaged with, however not proactive at all. If no one was at the bar, they all gathered together and started to chat or be on their phones. The interior was what you'd expect from a British pub - very cozy enjoyable and perfect to watch sports events. Payment with card. Visited in July 2022. Food ***** Atmosphere ***** Service ***

Easy to find. Decent food to line the stomach. Friendly staff. Good atmosphere whilst watching sport. Upstairs toilet very small, and even smaller when there is a big football game is on. A decent larger brand on tap would be ace.

As a Liverpool fan, I was working in London and gutted to miss out on tickets to Liverpool v Chelsea because of it. The next best thing was to watch it in a pub with a decent and friendly atmosphere. I did some research and found the Spread Eagle. Most reviews were fairly glowing, so I chose to ignore the odd rogue review (someone complaining for being overcharged for their milk or something) and I made my way there. I got there an hour early, as I planned to eat, but there were no free tables on either floor. So I had beer and some nuts. The milk complainer had an issue with the drinks prices. They are higher than up north, but very much in keeping with Central London prices. The beer I had was good and was served by smiling and chatty staff, who were always polite and helpful, despite it being really busy. As it happened, Liverpool won comfortably and it was an amazing atmosphere. But having said that, I think the atmosphere would have been great anyway, because this is a top pub to visit. I went on my own, due to work, but I didn't feel alone (YNWA?) and I had a thoroughly fulfilling evening. I will definitely return when next working in London.

Came across this pub by chance, while shopping on Oxford Street, there was an upstairs seating which is where we sat, lovely atmosphere and food was very nice and reasonable priced for London, will definitely used again when next in London!

I went to Spread Eagles to watch the Carabao Cup Final as it is a loved place bu Liverpool fans and they were in the final that day.. The atmosphere was fantastic, food was lovely and staff were kind, polite and very friendly.. I will most definitely be returning even on non-football event days

Booked to watch the West Ham v Arsenal game with a couple of mates. Got a great table right in front of the big screen. Kinga was great looking after us. Arsenal won. Perfect afternoon

AMERICAN REVIEW: Off the main road. Nice and quiet. Not crowded. Didn't notice the upstairs until leaving but it is much quieter and nearly empty. Good food.

After our previous disappointing Greene King experience in Covent Garden, and a reply to our review asking us to give them another try, we headed in to this bar just off Oxford Street. Again great decor, good selection of drinks but more importantly helpful and friendly service, which makes such a difference. Glad we tried again.

Very friendly service asked for a dish that had sold out - shows it was a top pick - staff were really nice and directed me to another good dish which was one of the best pies I have had in a while!!! Beer was good with amazing service and friendly patrons who chatted with us until our food came to the outside seating area, would go again

Great pub & the staff/Manager (nice guy) where all very friendly & so welcoming. Very tasty food & a cracking pint of Guinness...Liverpool Gin a total winner, makes such a change to go to a pub in Central London & get such a warm/real welcome & great atmosphere. Thanks for a great evening.

Very good English food! The fish and chips is really nice and crispy, the chicken pie was yummy and the macaroni cheese very good. The venue is beautiful and close to the subway.
