I had so much fun at Shaka Zulu in Camden Town. I can’t believe I didn’t know about it until this Saturday when a friend recommended it. Great location inside Camden markets, the club is insanely beautiful , the architecture and everything inside is brought from Africa , everything made by hand. Service was great, drinks were decent. It’s better to book a table , it’s more comfortable. Music was a blast . They are open from 8pm to 2am on dot. Shaka Zulu vibes are crazy, will definitely visit them again soon. Highly recommended if you never been there, take your friends and you can call it a night . Thank you guys for the hospitality, thanks to both managers on shift that night for upstairs bar and downstairs bar, thanks to the security guys always keeping an eye. See you soon

Place was lovely. Good tasting food tasty cocktails, but most of the the setting in which you dine in is incredible! Reason for 4 star is the service charge added on at the end. I find it rude. If we want to tip the waiter we will. But we would not tip the company

Very nice venue spacious situated over two floors. Each floor has a bar area. The decor was fantastic. We were part of large hen party. The food was very nice but the customer service was terrible. I don't know if it was because we were a part of largely group not enough staff. it's a set menu for larger groups. We had to order ahead of the time and we still had to wait a while for our food. Round about 10pm the music is turned up and a saxophone starts playing, it dance time now. It a good atmosphere worth going.

The restaurant is really nice itself with great decorations and South African vibe. The carvings of elephants, tigers and tribal people was fascinating. Even the curved table & chairs also will give you a jungle feeling. It’s better to have reservations in advanced as you may not able to find a table. However the reason I’m giving 3 star ⭐️ as the Food was definitely average, lacked flavour and over priced. Find a parking can be very tricky as it’s in the middle of Camden Market.

Absolutely loved this place. We went on a 3 course meal through wowcher for £59 for 2 oeople that included a cocktail which was very nice. The food was outstanding and the temperature of the food was spot on. We had to pay £6 for each side dish we ordered and to upgrade your meal to steak, buffalo or crocodile steak was a extra £10 each but so worth it. The decor is amazing and the staff very nice, friendly and helpful. It was my son's birthday so I called in advance to tell them and when they brought our deserts there was a big happy birthday written in chocolate around the plate and the cake had a candle in it. Thanks Shaka Zulu for such a great night. We will be back!!

I had high expectations but left highly disappointed. The interior of the restaurant is great and the venue is spacious and filled with vibes from music to design however the food is absolutely awful. To be brief, food was definitely average, lacked flavour & as we experienced some underrepresented dishes, overall food is a 3/10.

I came here for lunch. I had a gift voucher for a 3 course meal for 2 here. The place and atmosphere itself is really nice, probably one of my favourite restaurants aesthetically in London. The attention to details from the walls, ceiling, chairs and music is really good. Service here is also very nice, staff are very welcoming and customer focused. I really appreciated how they had a specific halal menu listing all the halal options, I just wish they had more. But food and drinks overall was fairly average and nothing special. It was nice but could easily pay a third of the price on the same quality and dishes elsewhere. If I didn't have the gift vouchers however I think the meal would have costed me £140 for 2 as I did buy additional food on top of the vouchers. So not sure if I would come here and pay such high prices. I think to come here your paying more for the atmosphere than the food.

Although the starters were delicious, I felt the portion sizes were small for the price i.e. £12 spring rolls but you only got 3. The main menu was very varied - my son having zebra, my daughter having lobster. The food and drinks came quickly and our waiter was very good. The ambience was amazing with the zulu heritage showing out in force. The statues were beautifully carved with a lot of details.

To start, we entered, checked in our table with the reception, then handed our coats over, after this we waited around 5 minutes to be seated, not ideal but can be accepted, once seated, our table was shouting to communicate because the music was so loud, the general atmosphere was people shouting at one another, I would not recommend this for a family, this seems to be more of a corporate venue. The food was served quickly, however, the quality of the food was not up to the standard you’d expect given the price, the sharing board was especially bad, it seemed as though it had been sat out in the open air for a long time thus causing it to oxidise and harden, the desert was the only course I enjoyed. The service did not often ask us for drinks, but other than that the service was good. To summarise, if you are going out for corporate drinks, then i would recommend this place, but if you are looking to go with your family or go for a meal then I think it would be better to go elsewhere.

Had an absolutely awesome time on 30/04/2022. We were seated and wanted tk change tables ao the lovely Jodie helped with this. She consistently had a smile on her face and made the whole experience enjoyable. The other members of staff were also lovely. The service was great- no long wait for any drinks or anything. The food was well cooked and very tasty- all 3 courses! The atmosphere was buzzing and all in all we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We didn't get a chance to stay for the club part so will come back for sure! Thank you to everyone at Shaka for a fabulous evening!

The decoration is amazing and atmosphere is great!! You can taste different burguer meats (crocodile, wild boar, ostrich,..). The burgers aren't the best but definitely worth it to see the decor. This place turns into a club at night.

What a restaurant! Impressive statue at the entrance & an escalator taking you down into the restaurant. Here your visual senses go into overdrive, as the decor is stunning. Carvings of elephants, tigers & Zulus adorn the restaurant. Even the table & chairs are jungle themed. Our order consisted of cocktails, followed by a crocodile & ostrich burger, with afogato to finish. The waiters were very attentive throughout. Will definitely go back again.

I food was tasty, actually used a wowcher deal, paid less than half for what I got which was fantastic. I really enjoyed the experience. Their cocktails were delicious. One thing I would say tho is we had more food options as part of my 3 course deal. But all in all it was good. The aesthetics!! Oh my!! Was awesome. Would definitely go again.

Shake Zulu, I think it’s a bit overrated. Don't get me wrong, the venue is lovely, and the deco is out this world. Entertainment is not bad. I just think if you have a group booking, the food is not that great, and the choices you are given from a set menu are over priced. My second visit was really nice the food was superb excellent customer service 👌

This is a great dining experience and well worth a visit. Restaurant is excellently themed in an African Zulu decor, and very detailed. This makes you feel totally immersed and really adds to the experience. Menu is very good and has crocodile and buffalo on the menu, plus other good selections. Service is very good fast and polite.

Absolutely love this place. The decoration is amazing. The atmosphere is so so good. I only I gave 4 stars was because the drinks were so pricey. It cost £15 entry fee as well

Impressive decor but food is very average. We ate from the Virgin Experience menu which was a limited selection I believe however the food served was not what was written on the menu and the staff were not knowledgeable about the dishes either. Venue is very big and reminded me of themed restaurants in theme parks. Overall, maybe a bit gimmicky - definitely fo not go if you are expecting authentic South African cuisine. Favourite dish was the spring rolls starter but everything else was nothing to write home about.

It was overall an enjoyable experience. We had a reservation through Virgin Experience which helped to keep the price reasonable. It is otherwise a fairly expensive restaurant where you pay more for the “experience” than food. They do serve some special meats and is a good place to try Buffalo or Alligator steak.
