A delightful traditional London street corner pub with modern twists including multiple screens showing sports (cricket during my visit). A good choice of beers, both cask and keg along with a wide offering of wines and spirits. Rooms also available. Service was quick an efficient. The staff are lovely and happy. A short but most enjoyable visit.

Rude and arrogant bar staff. AVOID. Been here a few times after work and brought some friends and couples in on Saturday night having reserved a table for NINE of us. Nobody at the bar (ordering) and get served so I start calling the first few drinks out (pints of Guiness, etc) whilst my pal was coming over with the order for the ladies. The girl serving (young, fair wavy hair) asked anything else, I said, yes please a Fosters top and a Moretti. Whilst still pouring the second or third drinks out of the five I'd ordered so far she said, is that it, in a short abrupt way? I said, no hold on my pals just gone to check. She said, next time you come to the bar can you make sure you have all you drink order ready..... I said pardon, as I thought I misheard!! She said it again, at which point my pal arrived and went to ask for the other drinks (mix of vodkas and gins, etc). I stopped him and said to the girl there is no need to say that or talk to me like that, I'm ordering 9 drinks here. She said, well you need to remember them all then don't you! I said, can you remember 9 drinks? She said yes. I said.... well that's your job so well done but it isn't mine, I'm the customer so I'll be calling them as we go and I'm not holding anybody up here either am I (as I look around there is another guy next to me getting served by someone else (the guy mouths, WOW whats all that about, at me!). Another girl then has a go at me for talking to the staff like that (yes I was annoyed by her!). I told her that her colleague was rude and unnecessary and in 30yrs of going to 100s of pubs and bars around the world, nobody has have ever come out with that one before. I apologised for getting annoyed although I didn't get an apology back! Anyway, we spent £200+ on drinks with these pratts and decided to leave after those drinks (my wife and her friend were stopped from going over and giving them their 'point of view' on the matter!!! We went to a lovely pub around the corner to carry on the night. Last time I'll be going in there.

The staff was unfriendly and there was a very bad smell coming from the bathrooms. Also we couldn’t order any food even though it was only 9pm. The beer selection was good and prices normal for the area.

Very friendly staff and lots of beer options. One of the only pubs that's open all year (due to hostel upstairs). Breakfast starts at 07:00 (for hostel guests), but also available for non-guests for £3.

Friendly staff as well as clean toilets, what else!? Started after hoopla, improv in the weekday evenings. Selection of drinks and ales in a Old fashioned pub, area near moorgate station.

Very busy pub no frills old style pub. Popularwith the after work crowd. The bar does get packed but if you're a little patient you do get served relatively quickly. Does have quite a few screens to watch sports on. The outside pavement does overspill with the crowd.

Classic english pub with nice offering of food and drinks. Loved the time spent here with the colleagues. Enjoyed their pizza 🍕. Food gets closed by 8PM London time.

Good selection of cask ales. Live music on a Thursday night which is their most busiest night. Staff are quick to serve.

Great little pub with a host of good beer. Didn’t take a photo nor did I eat but looks epic!

Just reviewing the beautiful architecture as we didn't go inside the pub on this occasion. If you're visiting London, the area around Liverpool Street through to Brick Lane and Spitalfields is quite magical. Aim for mid afternoon light as it bounces between the buildings.

Let me down really bad. Airbnb booking was not refunded. Tried to contact over and over again, response time should be an hour , and they've been blanking me since yesterday. No refund , no communication - no nothing. Just take your money and go.

Lovely little pub. Delicious fish finger sandwich and service from the karate kid (with the headband, sorry we didn’t get your name) was EXCELLENT! My only constructive suggestion would be to place bottles in the bin rather than throwing them in, but this was a very minor sticking point.

Great place for drinks after work as well as watching sports. Great pub food, we love the salami spicy pizza. Really nice and friendly staff. We also love the decoration for the Euros with the name of the main players all around. Will come back for sure!!!!

Really disappointing staff team. Accused one of my group of being drunk yet it’s just ADHD, when I challenged it was like a Spartacus convention and every team member claimed to have ADHD. Despite me advising that I was a local tutor the abuse was next level and totally unjust. The duty manager probably the most repulsive of all. Anyhow we left, the choices were not well received but not a great experience. We shall not return despite the fantastic vocalist:

Love the place, was first day back in the office in nearly two years so we did team drinks and this worked out well. Good to see expanded food menu.

If you are on a budget and without a permanent accommodation in London then think of this place , they offer good service and lovely rooms at different price to suit your pocket at great location. I got hostel at £15 and my stay was very interesting, I didn’t feel I was in an hostel sharing room with other strangers as there is enough privacy and they put in nice rules that helps

Great range of beers. Standing area outside and a small area of seating indoors. There is another floor but didn't get a chance to see

Big pub with food and drinks at reasonable prices. Tucked away behind Liverpool Street Station so tends to be a little less busy than others in the area.

A quick visit for refreshment during a busy day. The pub is quite small but it wasn't too crowded and there are plenty of tables to sit at. Inside decor is charming and there's a lovely feature fireplace.

Spent new years eve in this pub,at a private party ,they only had 2 staff on , because of COVID ,but they managed brilliant.

Perfectly decent middle of the road city pub. Beers were fine, staff were fine!. Any worse places to have a drink in the city. Same prices you'd expect in the area and enough space to drink outside given covid.

Situated central London for anyone who wants a base to then go on and explore London. Very friendly, helpful staff, and reasonably priced if your on a budget.

Loved my stay there, was in the hostel aswell. Great food, good company and in total recommend anyone planning to stay there, pillows weren't big enough for my preference but everything else was pretty awesome.

Great venue to visit after a stressful day at work. Definitely one of my favs in the area. Delicious pizza and a good range of ales. I do like the return of the live music, which makes it even better place to spend the evening. Always friendly and super nice staff. Except yesterday, when we were refused to be served by Alejandro, no explanation followed.. We didn’t want to ruin our evening and argue so we simply moved to the Red Lion and spend couple more hours there. I’ve known a lot of good managers there but this is the first time I left the pub with a sour feelings. Sad to see how one person can ruin the years of positive experience. Please take some action. I want to visit my favourite pub and spend quality time.

It's an absolutely lovely venue, with a cosy feel. The range of beers is great, with IPAs, APAs and all the usuals too; something for everyone. The food menu is quite typical of a regular pub, but the execution is fantastic; real lip-smacking flavours. They show live sports and occasionally have live music too if you are up for a sing-a-long. The greatest asset though has to be the staff. So welcoming and helpful, you feel genuinely looked after. I'll be returning regularly now I've realised just how close it is to my office!

This is a great choice, not many cask beers but the ones they have are well kept. Busy around 1 but OK. Definitely be back and try their lunch menu.

Lovely traditional pub in the heart of east london, good range of drinks and the staff are so friendly! Yummy stone baked pizza! 2 for 1 pizza and cocktails during the week, great value for money! Will definitely visit again!

Great place to have an after work pint. Have been frequenting this pub for 2 years and post covid its still as good as it was. I was served by both Ellie, and Martina, who were excellent and went above and beyond for me. Will be coming back as often as I am in the area.

Nice backstreet pub with plenty of screens to view F1/sport etc. Nice range of beers. Casks kept well. However. Having specifically walked here we were disappointed to find no food available on a Saturday lunchtime even though their website showed it as such. Had to use the Greene King pub down the road to eat. We did return however to view the F1. Would visit again, hopefully with food next time.
